Porto’s defensive midfielder Danilo Pereira is a player that Arsenal looked to bring in during the summer of 2016 but they were not willing to pay anything like the asking price. So just to put this in to context, Danilo Pereira moved in the summer of 2015 for just less than €3M – the “release clause†on which the asking price was based was €40M in the summer and has now risen to a very hefty €60M after he signed a new contract in January. If Arsenal were to offer or close to that then I am pretty sure Porto will let him go. Recently Manchester United has also taken a look at Danilo.
Liverpool has not shown any interest in the player but have spoken with Porto regarding full back Ricardo Pereira who is on loan at Nice this season.}
