If reports are true chukwemeka of aston villa is in his last year of contract and we are interested which would be a shrewd move, only problem is he isn't prem proven but looks to have all the qualities to eventually be quality. Cheaper option than bellingham who isn't for sale and if jude was to join us him an chukwemeka would be a monstrous pairing for the present and future.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take Chukwuemeka in the last year of his contract at a bargain price. Would be another piece of the next team been built.

I suspect he'll follow Jude and Jadon's example and go somewhere he is going to get first team experience right away.

We have Jones (21), Elliott (19), Carvalho (19), Morton (19) and from what we read, a very strong interest in acquiring Bellingham (19) next summer. Not sure if Chukwuemeka (18) is really needed unless we're suggesting stockpiling - which is not something we typically get involved in.

You could say Harvey or Carvalho aren't prem proven yet as well.

Sounds like he will best serve himself by going to Dortmund.

Well if we don't win the Premier League we'll have a pretty good shot at winning the U23 League.

Surely that's worth a bus parade.

I reckon curtis jones needs to go on loan or possibly sell him great player but playing with the handbrake on with us, obviously klopp wants his midfielders to be grafters and do a certain job which i don't think jones suits.

Jones gives the ball away and also delays on the ball too much and is caught in possession.
When he’s higher up it doesn’t matter, but when he’s on the ball in deeper positions there’s a nervousness around the stadium that he’s built because of it.
None of his Flaws are talent based. It’s concentration, mind set, awareness

That’s something that Jordan Henderson is elite at, no matter the minute on the clock, he’s always awake never caught napping on the ball.

Yes lfc8, hit the nail on the head there the lad is not suited to be messing round with the ball in the last 3rd . The projectary of curtis jones since he broke through has been very frustrating his natural game is attacking, dribbling, shooting, opening up defences. Its painful to watch as he a scouser but maybe a spell with Gerrard might help .

@JK23 - more a minivan than a bus mate ?.

19 Jul 2022 09:38:49
Sounds like you’re describing Keita there LiverpoolFC8, not Jones.

Jones is still just 21 and has plenty of time to turn things round, but why does nobody criticise Keita for doing the same thing and worse? …he’ll get rewarded with a new contract (no idea why) yet everyone hates on Jones….

19 Jul 2022 10:50:59
Everyone hates on Jones?
A bit melodramatic that. I don't actually see anyone hating on Jones. A few may want him gone but they're mostly just desperate for transfer activity. Most are correct that Jones still has a point to prove, but that he undoubtedly has the potential to do so.
I don't see anyone hating on Jones.
Naby on the other hand should be made vice captain when Milner goes.

19 Jul 2022 10:56:06
Fantastic, was only a matter of a couple of posts before a discussion on Jones was turned into a Naby attack, he really is public enemy No.1 to so many 'fans'

19 Jul 2022 17:59:11
I’m not hating on Jones mate, or Keita.
Jones has ability in buckets, he’s not far technically off Thiago and Trent, the boy can do anything with a football. But in periods of the game he falls asleep. I agree Hail, send him out on loan in a team that doesn’t have 75% of the ball and he’ll improve loads

And Naby, I can see why Klopp wanted him, player wise, he’s absolutely perfect for this Liverpool team. He SHOULD be everything this midfield needs. But imo he’s lazy.
Every player has a bad game, I’ve seen Salah, Hendo, Mane, Robbo. All have terrible games for Liverpool. I’ve never seen them once be lazy when it’s going wrong, and that’s the problem with Naby. He is unwilling to RUN himself into form.

The same Curtis Jones that has a 90/ 91% completed passing rate gives the ball away too much?

Cmon do better with your agenda.
