Anything in these Chukwuemeka rumours? To be honest I have never seen him play but seems to have a good reputation and could be secured for a lesser fee than usual due to his contract.

From what I have read he's a powerful midfielder who has great potential (a lot like Ramsey, Carvallho and Elliot) and would also be home grown.

Would it be plausible that we sign Chukwuemeka in this window and then hopefully Bellingham next summer?

{Ed002's Note - Carney Chukwuemeka (CM/AM) only a youngster but another making an early breakthrough like Jude Bellingham did at Birmingham. Aston Villa will do all they can to keep him but know that he has been watched since he first played in the Under 18 games by scouts representing many Premier League teams and clubs from Germany and Spain. PSG, Leeds and Borussia Dortmund will take note of the contract difficulties and declare a formal interest before long. Newcastle will offer a very good package and guarantees. Barcelona are very keen but he would be a long way from being in the first team - and he would need to think about that carefully.}

Hi Ed, just a quick question from someone who lacks knowledge of such things. When you use the phrase "declare a formal interest", does that mean approach or initiate a discussion with the club?

Jude to whoever he moves to next year Chuk to Dortmund would make total sense for game time for the lad.
