I don’t know what to say without sounding negative, if this is indeed true. Bobby was a great servant with emphasis on the word was. He has been done and dusted for over two years now, which is clear to anyone with eyes and watches our matches. He offers next to no goal threat and the main attribute he possessed in pressing as a false 9 and influencing games that way has gone. So that brings about two questions. What does he offer? And why has he been offered a new contract?

if this is true, i really don't understand the logic. i believe that most of us appreciate his service to the club and in his prime he was fantastic, but the club has to be more ruthless and look out for the welfare of the club instead of being loyal to players who are past their prime.

I think there’s life in the old dog yet.
I’m going to take this as a positive because he’s not got a contract out of sentimentality, it’s because the club still see him as useful.
I’ll admit he’s been garbage recently but I do see a use for him, he’s the plan B when Nunez is not the answer.
Just hope he can get back to form and quickly.

It depends what the the deals about, if this is a three year contract to have him as a starter then we have problems.

But if this is a three year contract for him to effectively replace origi within the squad I can live with that.

He is our third choice number 9 but started as nunez had a moment and jota is crocked.

We would all love a player of mbabppes quality to be third choice but it isn't realistic. If Bobby is happy with that role within the squad then I think he is a good choice as a third provided he is not on silly wages.

A 3 Yr deal for a player who should of gone 3yrs ago. If true its nothing short of a disgrace. Would he get in any other prem squad? I doubt it very much.

I would say that Klopp and the management team have more insight than most fans, hence there must be a reason for this new deal.
If we bring in a player like Nunes, or switch formation, Bobby could well come alive again.
did anyone see the stat that he broke the record (vs) for most touches in the middle third. Obviously i have no F idea what good that is, but it sounded important )

In fairness I thought Bobby was our best centre half on Monday night.

And at certain stages he was great company for Allison whilst we tried to attack.

Why not 12 month rolling deals? Based on appearances. That way he has to be playing well/ training well to get in and stay in. Absolute stupid decision. As for whoever threw up the "YNWA" rubbish please turn it in. He might have once been important to the rise of the team under Klopp but now he's absolutely no addition to us. Doesn't score, Doesn't create. What does he bring?

Might be like Keita's contract WDW. We'll be told that it's about to be signed every 3-4 weeks or so and all the time he's running down his deal.
