This whole narrative of Liverpool waiting for Jude Bellingham is so unbelievably insane. First of all, he will be offered double or treble our wages elsewhere and secondly, we will need a minimum of 2/ 3 new midfielders next season. don't hold your breath kids.

Agree0 Disagree0

So he'll be offered £500-£750k a week so! we will pay top wages for bellingham. we will sign Bellingham and him Harvey nd Stefan will rock it up for the next decade. The future and present is Red lads.

31 Aug 2022 14:45:31
I'm not expecting Bellingham to join next season.

No doubt they'll be clubs offering £300k+ wages to the guy, so if Madrid or City want him we may just be priced out of a deal.

31 Aug 2022 14:53:21
I think we know what will happen as we’ve been here before. Next summer one of the oil teams or Real will offer the whole transfer fee up front whilst we’re talking about a Brighthouse style weekly payment plan. He’ll go elsewhere and then we’ll put our media statements that we did try to sign him but the economics made no sense. In the same press release announcing an extension for Milner and that Ox will be like a new signing. ?. You just know that this will happen.

31 Aug 2022 15:12:10
The whole transfer is pinned on us reaching champions league minimum I'd say. don't think the lad is greedy and has his heart set on joining liverpool personally. Forget the wages idea that won't come into it.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has no agreement with Dortmund at all.}

31 Aug 2022 15:25:17
Why are people losing energy over something a year into the future?

Also, pretty sure VVD could of doubled his wages to join city, but he chose us instead. Thiago specifically wanted to join us. Some people are just bought into the project, to Klopp or to our great club in general.

He might not sign but why don’t we just wait and see instead of pouring misery on any post relating to him? If we don’t sign him.

31 Aug 2022 15:32:43
Jesus H Christ, some of you must lead extremely boring lives if you're worried about something that may or may not happen in 12 months time. 1. We've 0 control over what's going to happen and 2. You could be dead and buried/ cremated by then.

31 Aug 2022 15:44:32
Bellingham is never coming to us, Just like Mario Gotze, Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz all so called linked and departed to elsewhere.

For £100Mill I rather have 3 other players and retire Milner. OX and Naby.

31 Aug 2022 16:01:50
Not very optimistic mane I'll live forever.

31 Aug 2022 16:15:14
I’m sure square tomato said he’s told the england camp that liverpool are his first choice.
If that’s true and we sign him then great, if not then that’s also great.
Not worth losing sleep over.

31 Aug 2022 16:43:07
The whole midfield situation is embarrassing really the way I look at this is either FSG are too tight to part with money or Klopp is too loyal to current players either way it’s a joke. Are you telling me that Tielemans isn’t better than Keita, Milner, jones? ?

31 Aug 2022 16:56:02
100M for overrated player. lol.

31 Aug 2022 17:04:11
Its both Whitewalker. Klopp too sentimental about players who are ageing expecting them to pull up trees as they did when we won the league. We do have some talented youth and maybe we should integrate them more. Plus FSG's transfer model is we live within our means. They are a business after all. They have invested in infrastructure which makes the business more viable when the time comes to sell. I just don't feel they prioritise transfers. There is a finite budget in that respect.

31 Aug 2022 17:33:18
Without wanting to sound flippant Whitewalker, Ox in a plaster casts on both legs and crutches is more mobile and active than Tielemans. He’s not exactly a hard worker and he’s not blessed with speed of movement or thought.

31 Aug 2022 17:48:36
Ox is a crock is tielemans? . Perhaps under klopp he would be a different player? . Just asking. don't particular mind him. Can tell he has it in his locker and doubt he'd get away with being lazy here.

31 Aug 2022 18:26:56
Naby’s got away with being lazy, so anything’s possible. I’d rather not take the risk out of desperation.

31 Aug 2022 18:29:15
He ain’t movin to us! We won’t be forking out 100m
For one player when we will
Need another 4 as well.

31 Aug 2022 18:31:56
A Shaq type of signing at best imo. IE he would not doubt make a few decent contributions but wouldn't be the difference between a league win and no league win.

31 Aug 2022 19:59:49
If Dortmund don’t want to sell and Bellingham is saying he doesn’t want to move this summer then we may have to pay twice or thrive to push a deal this summer with the key people who don’t want to do a deal this summer.

{Ed002's Note - There is no agreement with Dortmund.}

31 Aug 2022 22:35:33
If an established 19 year old Jude Bellingham is valued at 100 mill.

Then what makes us think that a 20 year old more established Jude Bellingham is still valued at 100 mill in a years time.

31 Aug 2022 23:07:45
Bellingham maybe, he is good but let's see how he does for England in the world cup . English players are often overrated and overpriced. there's a lot of quality in other leagues especially the portuguese. Spending all your money on one midfielder makes little footballing sense and even less business sense. Hopefully Liverpool will use their rich tradition of data analysis and find a few players who are perhaps less popular but with as much potential. in January or next summer.

01 Sep 2022 01:12:48
JK - what his value is in a year's time, it'll be twice or thrice that to prise him away from dortmund now like the OP seems to think we can do lol.

01 Sep 2022 08:32:32
Begs the question why did LFC not buy him from Birmingham as a 17 year old, was it not worth a gamble at the time when fee would of been buttons compared to his value now, Dortmund took the gamble it paid off " who dares wins ", is Haaland another example of another Dortmund player we missed out on.

Perhaps because Jurgen who was a Dortmund manager in the past has vowed not to do any business with Dortmund as a sign of mutual respect, we will never know but it certainly begs the question.

{Ed001's Note - because he made it plain he wanted to go to Germany to join Dortmund.}

01 Sep 2022 10:29:02
007, Klopp has been away from Dortmund for 7 years, I don't think there's many players there that even played under him back then, so I don't think any unwritten, possibly fictitious agreement to not sign Dortmund players still stands.

This is all a bit silly, no? There's no way of knowing whether we'll sign Bellingham or someone else, or who would be the best signing. I'm fairly certain nobody thought Carvalho would be proving to be the most exciting of our summer signings so far, so just try and enjoy the ride!

01 Sep 2022 12:47:58
Why didn't he fancy signing Haaland then only £51 Million, Nunez £85 Million. Could have bought a midfielder with the money difference as well.

01 Sep 2022 13:39:46
I don't think Haaland wanted to join us, and it's fairly well known that the overall cost was nowhere near £51m for him. He is, however, a genetic freak.

{Ed002's Note - Haaland never had the option to join Liverpool.}

The costs involved in the Haaland transfer were way more than 51 million.
