Arthur Melo undergoing medical this afternoon on a one year loan. No option to buy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just read he is out injured also at the minute ?? ?.

01 Sep 2022 10:01:22
Ed's what are your verdicts on Melo as a stop gap? Anyone in the know?

{Ed001's Note - seems a bit injury prone so I am not convinced but on a loan not so bad.}

01 Sep 2022 10:08:54
Looks like a blend of Thiago (lite) and Gini. Press resistant AF.
Injured though, no?

01 Sep 2022 10:10:49
At the airport Sky just shown pictures. Would have preferred someone who is less injury prone but he was beast at Barcelona for a tine.

01 Sep 2022 10:22:11
He's not injured and has indicated he's available to play against Everton should JK choose him.

01 Sep 2022 10:22:46
This isn’t true, he’s fit to start against Everton if need be.

01 Sep 2022 11:02:54
Good singing. We need bodies. If he does well great keep him if not he’s not our problem. Doesn’t prevent us going after targets next summer like Tielemans or Neves on a permanent probably would have. Fabinho playing too many mins as it is now with Henderson out and a game every 3 days we were desperate.

{Ed001's Note - why do you say Tielemans? If we wanted him he would be at the club already as he has been touted around all of Europe but there is very little interest because most people know he is not good enough.}

01 Sep 2022 11:05:52
Knowing how kick happy the Everton lads are, if he’s not injured now, he will be by Saturday afternoon.

01 Sep 2022 12:01:30
Hey Ed001 is there a cut price that you would take tielemans for.

{Ed001's Note - I guess I would take him if they paid £10m, but I do think Leicester should really pay more, but you did say cut price.}

01 Sep 2022 12:19:46
My take on Tielemans Ed, is that he’s a match of the day/ highlights reel player. The odd fancy flick here or there, the odd long range goal, but when it comes down to the meat and bones of it all, he’s lightweight and ineffective the majority of the time. If he was anywhere near as good as the hype, he’d be at a champions league team after leaving Monaco, not kicking around in mid table with Bodgers Flying Circus.

{Ed001's Note - you have it spot on, he doesn't track back, doesn't work hard and does little for 89 minutes.}

01 Sep 2022 14:32:57
Sorry Ed i meant had we got Tielemans on a permanent now we’d be stuck with him and it probably would have prevented us getting a midfielder we actually want next summer.

{Ed001's Note - ahhh got you. Yes, agreed.}

Rambo8 i take all this less seriously than you do, so it seems. I post various bits of info, posts from other sites and try to throw as balanced a view out there as possible, plenty of which has some humour thrown in .
I for one know very little about tactics and the inner workings of a football club, and have never been so detached from transfers as i am now. Klopp and co have made all that much less important than it once was.
