Hi Ed,

Has there been any change in the Laimer situation to your knowledge?

Thought he was a cert to sign for Bayern but papers linking him with us again today.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any change: Konrad Laimer (CM/DM) RBL are aware that Laimer will likely run down his contract and join Bayern Munich. Borussia Dortmund (who need an Axel Witsel replacement) have looked at him. Liverpool, Spurs and Manchester United have sent scouts to watch him and may have spoken with his agent. The interesting option, and one which should not be discounted, is Chelsea after they failed to sign Aurelien Tchouameni - although with the change of ownership there has been a change of advice. Laimer will want to be a starter and that means Bayern would need to have players make way - even with Tolisso and Roca gone, they have a lot of midfield players on the books. I expect the likely option is Bayern Munich.}

His injury history is concerning as he’s injured at the moment (according to transfermarkt) and has missed a lot of games over the last three years (including this season) the last thing we want to do is add another player made out of crisps. I think we’d be sensible letting this one go.

Obviously the Liverpool transfer committee is banging on his injury record to get him on the cheap. How would anyone who is good, always fit and available be going cheap?
