Bit of a random one for Ed002. Are there any 'mature' players that Liverpool are looking at for a permanent transfer?

In the last few seasons, we have typically bought players who are 25 and under, for their development potential and future value no doubt, and the ability for Klopp to mould them into his type of player.

Other than loan cover (Arthur most recently) or GKs we've only very infrequently bought a more mature player, like Thiago who I still think was an absolute steal at £25m.

So, are there any others that the club are considering or is our transfer focus purely on the younger players?

There have been a number of clickbait articles linking us to older midfielders but I just can't see it happening. Klopp and FSG are not ones to buy players as temporary fixes.

{Ed002's Note - There are a number of midfield players like McKennie and Llorenti who have been considered but I am not aware of any players who could potentially be used as post 30 stop gaps on the cards right now.}

It would make sense to bring in the right older player in when Milner retires from first team duties .

Ed's Any ideas where Škriniar is going?

{Ed002's Note - Sorry, I don’t see that. Skrinier has options and may well decide in January.}

I was thinking a Gary Mac or younger type signing, to help guide and nurture the youngsters.

Henderson and Milner can do that Rolf.
