Hi Ed002 !

My question is about pjanic . I am not asking about what's the chance of signing him or how much he will cost ect.

I just wanna know do Liverpool has real interest in him & they really negotiating about this ?

Thanks

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool are not negotiating over Pjanic. PSG and Manchester City remain keen on the signing of Miralem Pjanic but both are constrained by UEFA sanctions and will need to sell before buying. Liverpool and Spurs have enquired and are aware that he could be available at the right price - but that would be very high (€50M) and the player has said he has no interest in either club. Manchester United also made an enquiry before appointing a new manager in the summer, but it went nowhere. Dortmund seem to have dropped their interest. The player is looking for €250k per week in wages.}

So who did rodgers go to watch last week?

{Ed002's Note - Roma did not have a game last week. This has been done to death.}

Roma played Parma on Saturday

{Ed002's Note - Rodgers was spotted at the Liverpool game on Saturday.}

If a player is going for €50m and wants 250k a week then liverpool have no chance of signing them, and rightly so, those wage demands are ludicrous.

Has he done anything to warrant €250k p/w? Anything at all? Could anyone let me in on this?

Pjanic is an excellent player and by no means i am going into the wages. But he is world class player.
What's Rooney and Falcao earning at UTD?

He won't fancy a move to us, Roma are challenging Juve for the title. Y would he come to us?

He might end up at city as a replacement of Toure.

Is he world class? What has he done for that easy to come by title?
I've not heard he's dominated a big CL game like other CMs. He has a poor goal/assist record for such a class player, in Serie A. Half that league is at best championship level.
Not saying he's a poor player at all, but £37m & €250k p/w. Eh? No wonder Sterling wants £150k p/w

At least Rooney, Falcao have arm long trophy lists and World Cup & other tournament games, etc they've got to a point to and proven themselves to earn that.

Disagree there.

He has been class apart for Roma who has pushed Juve to the wire.

Falcao hasn't won anything.

Every UTD player has trophy in their list ( Ashley young, Phil jones )

I am not in favor of paying over the odds.

He is a class player and one of the best.

We'll agree to disagree. I don't think Pjanic will lead us to the title and for that money I'd want that.

Think it's all moot anyway cause we can't afford that and if we did have that cash we need a GK and debt reduction more so.

I would want him for the money he wants and no chance.

My point was only his quality. He alone cannot win any side a title, you need 3 players of his quality.

Looks like the Daily Express took the eds response to make some news.

I must agree that Miralem Pjanic is a fine midfielder, but i i'm not sure i would say world class( IMO) . Pjanic is very smart player, very good passing a decent shot, bery good reading of the game but lacks abit in pace, power and work rate, but that's my opinion, i'd love to hear what the eds think of him?

{Ed001's Note - I have only seen him play a couple of times, I really don't enjoy watching Italian football so don't see a lot of it. Usually just in between weekend Prem games here I will watch a bit then, as they show it live out here. Certainly not enough to judge him, though he did stand out as being the best player on the pitch each time I saw him. Having said that, the Italian league is woeful at the moment, so being the best on the pitch is not saying a lot!}

I can see Liverpool trying to sign him. let's be realistic though the player is bound to realise if he is going to sign for one of the big English clubs then those wage demands are ridiculous! He will probably sign one of Liverpool, United or Spurs. I wouldn't also be surprised to see interest from Chelsea or City.
