Eds, you said nothing has changed regarding Pjanic.
I presume if we fail to make top four our chances are limited?
Also who else is interested in him at this moment in time?
At first, although he's been quality every time I've watched him play, I thought he was severely overpriced, but having considered that he would still be less than is being quoted for Falcao, and at a much younger age, he is worth a good deal of money!

{Ed002's Note - Pjanic is not a striker so cannot be compared to Falcao at all.

PSG and Manchester City remain keen on the signing of Miralem Pjanic but both are constrained by UEFA sanctions and will need to sell before buying - and may well be put off by the price. PSG would be willing to include Verratti as part of the deal but Verratti is set on a move elsewhere. Liverpool and Spurs have enquired and are aware that he could be available at the right price - but that would be very high (€50M) and the player has said he has no interest in either club - whether or not that would change if the asking price and wages were matched I don't know. Manchester United also made an enquiry before appointing a new manager in the summer, but it went nowhere. Borussia Dortmund and Zenit St Petersburg seem to have dropped their interest. The player is looking for €250k per week in wages and would probably not be interested in moving to a non-Champions League club. Roma's owners have said they don't want to sell but the player is looking for a way out.}

Thanks Ed2,
Yeah, fair enough, I understand strikers' prices are considerably higher than other players' and they can command higher wages too, but, for argument's sake, Pjanic represents considerably better value at this point in time.
One quick question on that though- who is Verratti looking to move on to? He's a quality, young, central midfielder, too, in my book. He'd be perfect in Spanish football but Barcelona have their transfer ban and both Real and Athletico aren't short on central midfielders, neither are Bayern or Juve, who could attract him from other top leagues. So, I fear, is it another Premier League team?

{Ed002's Note - If Marco Verratti were available there would be plenty of clubs interested, not least Juventus and he remains open to a move there. PSG will be prepared to let him go to Juventus as part of a deal for Pogba. Real Madrid will push if it looks like he is going to be available.}

Dear Ed
Is he as good as he is greedy?

{Ed002's Note - Measured how?}
