Ed are any of the teams interested in sterling willing to pay the asking price we would want. I personally reckon they will wait, until the end of the window and give us, half of what we want and we will have to accept it.

{Ed002's Note - Whilst the manager has said he expects Sterling to stay I would expect the club to look to move the player on as soon as possible. I am not aware of what price they would be willing to take for the player but the only serious interest at this time is from Manchester City as far as I know.}

Hi all. Maybe I'm being influenced by annoyance with sterlings/his agents actions but I, along with a lot ot you, can't stand the sight of him any more. I'm probably wrong as I know he's only a kid and has truck loads of potential but I'd get rid of him ASAP for as much as I could get for him. Maybe whenever he does eventually leave he'll realise that the grass isn't always greener in far away fields, what will his great friend & wannabe super agent do then??? I don't think he'd put his head down & work like Suarez did anyway if he doesn't get his own way & the club forces him to stay. Admittedly with loads of potential but very little end product & he THINKS he's a top player. Listen to everyone & not just agent Aidy who is just looking after himself in the short term. Rant over. And by the way lads give gerrard the send off he deserves & at least try half as hard as he does

Papers saying 30m + Jovetic. Personally i'd take this deal if rodgers or someone at the club is interested in him.

Jovetic is as injury prone as sturridge - don't think we need another player like that.

I hope that jovetic isn't being considered and neither to is Walcott. Undoubted talent, but just as injury prone.
I hope konoplyanka is a target, the few times I've seen him, he's been so dangerous.
You have to wonder what would be the best option for sterling if he does leave Liverpool. I know most of you don't care, but I can't see how city would be a good move because he just wouldn't get the game time in the short term, and that might stop his development.
Eds. If as expected he does leave Liverpool, what would be his best move in your opinion? My thoughts would be arsenal, because at least they has a track record of bringing youngsters through.

I hope BR just said that to keep the clubs position strong regarding a sale. Looking like we will not or do not want to sell him would get the best offers on the table.

A certain Mr Ronaldo,in his first couple of years at MU, was all tricks and speed but no end product.

It's debatable wether Sterling could go the same way, but for his sake alone, I hope he doesn't do a money run, pretending to be the finished articel this early in his career, instead of continue to develop.

Personally I see him in style,as the next John Barnes

{Ed030's Note - People are forgetting how Sterling performed last season for both Liverpool and England, that sort of talent doesn't leave you. He has been majorly mismanaged by Rodgers being played out of position and the contract situation. People are forgetting It's very unusual a young player will perform constantly at such a young age. }
