Ed001, are we still talking to Inter trying to sort a deal out for Kovacic or have we stepped away a little now? Also are we still considering the Sterling offer and in selling him would this change our transfer targets at all?
{Ed001's Note - last I heard we were still trying to push the deal through for Kovacic. It won't change things when Sterling goes, the last few weeks sealed the deal for him to go and plans were made on the expectation of his sale.}

Is the kovacic deal dependent on Sterling going?
And if we had a verbal agreement on a fee surely were just working on a payment plan now?
Or are they trying to sell other players so they don't have to ley kovacic go?
{Ed001's Note - they would prefer not to sell Kovacic, but they need to sell to buy. They are trying to sort out other deals so they can hold onto Kovacic. Our position is nothing to do with Sterling.}

Any ideas as to what were the plans ed1? Hoping it's firmino?
{Ed001's Note - he is a player we have long held an interest in and it has been indicated he wants to move to England and play in the Prem. Hoffenheim have accepted he will be going to England and sorted a deal. I just do not know who it is with. I wouldn't be surprised if Juve try to pinch him though, they are certainly interested and they are likely to lose either Vidal or Pogba this window.}

{Ed001's Note - I believe, as I have said before, Milner was signed to replace Sterling, hence why we are trying to get Kovacic in to replace Gerrard on the pitch. Milner's experience is to replace Gerrard's experience.}

If we managed to get both players it would really give us some exciting options.
That said we would need to look to offload some "experienced" midfielders as there would be a lot of guys on big cash not playing and it would really hinder our ability to give youth players coming through the odd experience of game time.

Well that is a lot of replacing. Just hope we get kovacic and a decent striker firmino/Higuain please and I think we'll be good to go for next season . Not title contenders but at least gud enough for the new manager to nick fourth place after rodgers is sacked in October

It makes sense with the way Rodgers like to play with a holding mid spraying balls and dictating tempo. Kovacic certainly fits that profile of player.
