i have heard from a source close to Rodgers here in nireland that sterling will now stay after talks with owners hel now sign a new deal with a buy out clause if we don't get cl next year , me personally I'd take the 40m

We have not got a good enough side to let players like Sterling leave, he's a young lad who will continue to learn his trade, his agent is an idiot, and by all accounts the lad is totally professional and a decent young man. It's pointless having 40 or 50 million to spend when We cannot attract the sort of quality players we need, one of the reasons Rodgers should have gone - Klopp and possibly Ancellotti would attract a better standard of player.

FSG suck - a true supporter with a grasp of what FSG have done for us - apart from saving us from administration, and possible relegation to the Championship, they are developing the stadium - I admit they have made 2 major errors, the first one was appointing a manager with no CV of note, and then giving him over 200 million to spend.

Hard to see this happening unless sterling suddenly decides to sack his agent, publicly denounce his actions and not only realise he's not actually worth £900,000 a week but also start thinking that the guy responsible for this whole saga by hanging him out to dry in the media, actually talks sense! FSG suck? You mean more than hicks etc before? You're talking rubbish mate. The owners have backed the manager with money, started expanding the stadium and sacked backroom staff that may not have been good enough.
Sterling will go for the right price. He can't stop inhaling the wacky gas, has a terrible attitude, awful agent and thinks he's Messi already.
If it gets to £50M we will take it.

Don't get me wrong - we could have worse owners, but I hate that every transfer window, every contract wrangle turns into a business decision and a PR stuff up.
We're buying our players based on stats rather than scouts, we're getting rid of our capt because he is x-old and on x-amount of cash - It's painting by numbers, it's sad and it's not working!
Some people (including Eds) worship FSG for pumping money into the club. Tesco do the same, I wouldn't work for them, I wouldn't support them. Ultimately our big business owners are here to boost income, cut expenditure and create profit - either for themselves or to sell the club on at a profit.
Just what we needed when H&G had the club bent over, but I save my gratitude for non billionaires who are not looking to make a profit on my passion.
Maybe in my old age I am becoming a communist?

Sorry but how do you expect our club to compete or even survive if we don't make a profit? We're already under the spotlight for FFP rules and the rules aren't going anywhere. So if you actually want the club to be able to compete on the transfer market you might want to start getting used to the idea that Liverpool FC is a business and it's in everyone's interest that we create a club that lives within its owns means. FSG although not perfect in every aspect are at least on the right track but hey feel free to wish for the return of H&G or Moores!

Sterling should go in my opinion.Personally I would have accepted the 40M. I cannot see why so many are so much against FSG. Agree they have made mistakes ( Rodgers for one) but it is easy to say that in hindsight. They saved us from the disaster that H&G made and are trying to push the club forward.
