Morning Ed002

Can I just ask please, has Firmino been bought in as a replacement for Sterling or are they not linked?

{Ed002's Note - It is hard to see how all of the players will be used. For Sterling as a winger no - for Stirling behind a striker perhaps.}

Hey ed - is the club actually looking for a replacement of Sterling as a winger? In my opinion, one is not needed - we already have Marcovic and Ibe, Lallana and Cou have been used there, and Ings and especially Origi could also be given a shot. that's more than enough players, and all with high potential if properly trained and utilised.

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware, but it will depend also on who is sold.}

I think between Coutinho, firmino and Ibe they can all fulfil the positions he played in. I'd sooner see a top quality striker come in than another winger at this time personally

Agree, although we don't have a vast supply of born wingers (apart from perhaps Ibe and Markovic who are both still relatively inexperienced), Firmino, Llalala, Coutinho, Origi and even Milner can also all play there and so shouldn't be a priority position IMO.

Hi Ed002
You might be able to answer the question but I will submit anyways.
who of the existing wingers would LFC consider selling or loaning? I saw some rumours suggesting Markovic loaned back to Benfica for further development. I do not see who else could be moved to make room for a Sterling replacement but maybe you have some better insight.
thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Clubs do not buy replacements for players they send on loan.}

I believe that Chelsea has been doing it rather successfully. That gives the team additional time to assess the player attributes and then maybe a year later sell the least impressive within the squad. if done propeely it can also be a way to make additional revenue if the player's value increase as a result of thenloan (playing time).
I can think of Salah loan and purchase of Cuadrado as an example. I believe that there many other examples.
It obviously does not always work in favor of the club that I understand.
Thanks

Salah was bought as a replacement for Mata/De Bruyne. Cuadrado was bought as replacement for Schurrle. At least get your facts right if you're going to challenge either or the Eds.
