A few reports saying we will go back for tex in the summer. However eds, I believe one of you said our first choice was long, albeit on loan, would we be tempted to go for him again in the summer?
Personally I hope it was just to cover until Ings is back and a long term decision on Sturridge made?

{Ed001's Note - Long was just a stop gap, first choice only in the respect of a now signing.}

Thanks ed, a trier but nothing special, relieved if I'm honest!

The decision is down to Sturridge.

The lad needs some time away from football.

Also do you think we will go back and try for teixeira? A lot depends on the next half of his season for me, show what kind of character he has.

{Ed002's Note - It makes no sense.}

01 Feb 2016 22:35:13
He's after been away for about 12months how much longer do you want to give him.

01 Feb 2016 22:47:33
Be great to see a fully fit Danny Ings back in the side next season.

01 Feb 2016 22:57:36
I could not agree more, can't wait to see Danny back in the lineup.

01 Feb 2016 23:50:55
What makes no sense Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Making another laughable offer for Teixeira. Time to move on.}

02 Feb 2016 01:07:34
I'm sure we will move on. But, do you want him at Chelsea?

02 Feb 2016 17:05:28
Lets not expect too much from ings that was a very bad injury the lad had so give him a bit of time.

02 Feb 2016 16:44:35
ED 002, it wasn't a laughable offer, it was a substantial offer. It's a laughable valuation.

{Ed002's Note - I am sorry but clubs putting in derisory offers are simply laughed away. Try not to deflect responsibility for this.}

I think Jurgen klopp will love Danny ings. Because he will chase any ball down and he gets goals .

02 Feb 2016 22:08:24
The bids we make are laughable! If we don't value the player at what his club does and make a pathetic offer which everyone knows won't be accepted don't bother. We have seen it time and again, either put up or shut up.

All the best.

Sorry but I have to agree with the view that we're making bids we can afford and that are realistic. If we'd gone with the huge money they wanted people would be queuing up to slate everyone at the club for overpaying. They can't win. Hopefully lessons learned from overspending on the likes of Lovren and Llallana (neither worth what we paid and we'd not see that money again if we sold them) . About time we bid realistically. The annoying one would be Alli, partly because he wasn't expensive and mainly because our main rival for the last Euro place is Spurs and they're getting a lot of very good players these days. As things stand Loris, Ericsson, Dier, Alli and Kane would walk into our side. Probably some of the others as well. The good news though is that watching the younger lads play games on challenging pitch at Exeter, pressure game against them at Anfield and then against a relatively strong West Ham side shows there is a future from within without spending a fortune. Just centre back and consistently fit goal scorer seem the issue.
