Lots of pace.

Nice one Waro - wierdly I was also told about this team sheet by a friend and it's exactly the same so let's see eh.

I hope not! can't expect to make that many changes and win?

17 Apr 2016 12:03:28
Nice. I like the idea of 2 very experienced centre backs to help out Randall and Smith. A very quick attacking unit!

No Flannagan?

17 Apr 2016 12:29:28
Was thinking the same is flanno injured?

I like the adventurous spirit but looks like 4-2-3-1 with Stewart and Allen at base of midfield which I'm not sure suits Allen. he's going to need to be disciplined as with a very young attack we can expect them to lose possession a few times. Would also have preferred to see Flanno but let's see.

Interesting to see how Ibe, Ojo, Firmino and Sturridge get along, should be lot of fun and wouldn't want to be in their defence right now. Hope the youngsters have a great game and will be interesting to see how Ibe has gotten along out of the spotlight.

Must admit, I hate to shoot players down and whenever they play I will support them fully but I personally don't see anything about Connor Randall that makes me think he has a future at the club. Seen him on enough occasions now to make a judgement and he is way down the pecking order behind Clyne and Flanno.

{Ed001's Note - he did grow into his appearances though, which suggests there is more to come if he gets a run of games.}

aha maybe you were right ed, thought he was much improved today, showed a lot more pace than i've seen from him.

The pace of Ibe and Ojo also meant we still had plenty of in Attack so all round a smart choice, giving Ibe and Ojo the opportunity to run at the defence which the did well.

I love what Klopp is doing. He is building a squad mentality into this team as in, no matter who or what team plays, He expects that player or team to perform and do the job. That is what we saw today. All the boys played solidly as a unit and I was delighted with that. There are no first teamers in his eyes so people especially the lazy journalists asking dumb questions, need to get used to it.

He will play who he thinks is good enough for that game and most importantly, If you get picked, you go out there and perform or you'll be back on the bench and good luck, end of.

HX I completely agree. I haven't seen anything of Randall to understand his involvement in the first team. Seems way out of his dept.
