2 players I keep hearing about from Ligue1 are Pastore and Ben Arfa. Could you shed any light on those to Ed? Please put to bed this Ben Arfa rumour it's building steam, and he's a trouble maker.
{Ed002's Note - Pastore will be moving in the summer with Juventus certainly interested. His agent has spoken with other clubs who he sees as possible but no firm interest. I am pretty sure Liverpool has no interest.
Nice are looking to have Ben Arfa sign a new contract and then cash in on him at a later date with Dortmund, both Milan clubs and Atletico making their interest known. It is very unlikely that Inter will be able to make anything happen but Milan are pushing hard now. The suggestion of Liverpool interest might come from a statement by his agent that Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea would have been more impressed by Ben Arfa that Dembele at a game both were playing in recently.}

Your personal thoughts of Ben Arfa Ed?
{Ed002's Note - A talented player who had issues at Marseille which they worked hard to manage; but he never settled in England. And the years are slipping by now with him being 28 or so. I have met him on a couple of occasions when he was at Toulouse and there was some simmering discontent. I don't think a move to England would be in his best interests unless he slots right in. But if he does, he could be a real benefit.}

I think he's got 'Leave well alone' written all over him. His best days are long gone and this is just one final Indian summer in a wasted career. Whoever buys him is buying a player who at 29 has no long term future or value.
