Liverpool are very close to sealing a move for the Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski
Initially it seemed like Liverpool would back out after making an offer, but now Italian media are convinced that a deal will be done soon.

If we are unsure on him, we should wait, someone better might become available or something might develop. From what people are saying he's not going to go straight into the first team, and if we are paying a lot for him, it's not worth rushing it. Would rather Lucas and Stewart get more minutes seeing as they are the only predominantly defensive minded midfielders we have, and have gruijic hendo and can already, as well as possibly Milner and Allen, and chiravella and branagan coming through. With no Europa, a choice of 5 Cms, plus at least one more and two youngsters is good enough for me.

I really like the look of this lad though. Could be a bright star. Great all rounder and fantastic vision.

He's not what we need in cm. We need a Kante type who can shield the back four. Not another floaty number 10 type.
