Hey Eds, a question I'm sure many are wondering, with chilwell signing a new deal at Leicester, are we looking at any one else Amini has gone quiet. Could we still get chilwell? Hector looked a good option, but is expensive. Is there anything in the Willems rumours. I would really love for us to go for Ricardo Rodriguez from Wolfsburg, or Caner Erkin but I think he's gone to Milan

I'd be happy with Amavi based on what Ed001 has said about him. Never seen him play though so what's his best attribute? Attacking or defending?

Ed, I don't get why we wouldn't pay the extra ~3m for Chilwell and only thing I can think of is, Klopp didn't want him as badly as we all think! We paid good money for Mane and Wijnaldum, so why not go that 'little' bit further for what seemed to be our number one target? I just don't get it really, unless Klopp didn't see the player's hunger to come to us!

Championship players brilliant. I heard milner might be used as a left back, we have Gomez aswell I'd rather not sign amavi or Taylor.
{Ed001's Note - Amavi was a standout in the Prem before injury. Milner was an average winger who once covered fullback adequately at best. Idiotic to go into the season with just him. Almost as idiotic as ruling out a signing because his team is in the Championship. Mahrez was there just a couple of seasons ago.}

I like Charlie Taylor and think he would do well. Just my opinion.

Who here had heard of Rob Jones when he signed? Kept Ryan Giggs quiet for the whole game on his debut at Man United. Amavi is a really good full back in a poor villa team and Taylor is very very highly thought of.

Amavi was not a stand out player in the league he was the best of a bad bunch.

Can't say I've seen much of Amavi but I remember his performance against City on Remi Garde's first match, think it ended 0-0. He was absolutely brilliant! Think he got badly injured just after that though.

Agreed we don't want Milner as our left back, Ed1, but when Arsenal away comes around I'd rather him than Moreno start there.
