ED002, regarding Coutinho and rumours surfacing again, do you believe there will be bids from the likes of Barcelona and PSG in January?
{Ed002's Note - The club are aware of what Coutinho told three international team mates last season and are also aware that PSG, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have continued to have Coutinho watched. I understand that PSG will make an offer in preparation for a January transfer and that the player has been made aware of this and has spoken to a couple of players about PSG. Right now I would expect him to stay until the summer and then consider his options - but PSG will look for a January deal. Liverpool will look to do what they can to hold on to him. I think offers in January from elsewhere are unlikely (as of this time).}

Good update ed as always. I guess Liverpool will help there own cause if we wre still in and around top 4 come Jan and Couts thinks he can win things here?

A move to a club such as PSG would see him much higher profile and doing well domestically and with good opportunities in the Champions League - it will have its attractions. He has also spoken to a couple of players about PSG so the thought is already there as a seed.}

Owe right ok. doesn't sound great then imo. I guess he will go and we will again be looking to replace our best player. doesn't need an answer ed its just my thoughts now. Were doing well and now this.

There seems to be an air of inevitability that he will leave at some point I just hope we can have a great season and hold on to him for as long as possible. I'm not sure PSG would want to pay the crazy money we would want for him judging by their summer bid. Just out of curiosity Ed is the rumour about them being willing to use moura in any potential deal true?
{Ed002's Note - Moura has established himself as a starter and I don't see any plans for PSG to move him on now. And unless Liverpool were to move Mane, who plays in the same position, on I cannot see Liverpool being interested in any case.}

I guess we just knuckle down and see what we can do in the league this year. If we have a blinder maybe he can be sold on klopps vision for the club.
If he does decide to leave in the summer it will be for north of £50 mil and we will have to move on without him. I do worry that it will leave players like firmino and mane looking to their next move if they carry on improving.

I don't think it's worth worrying about just yet, if/ when we make top 4, he'll stay i reckon, still. very interesting to read your comments ed2, i had no idea about any of it. we can only hope he stays with us, fantastic player none of us want to lose.

No player is bigger than the club. Coutinho is a good, yet not great player in my opinion and if someone makes a stupidly large enough bid then I'd not be terribly upset if he left - it might result in more game time for an out and out striker e. g. Origi or Sturridge.

If coutinho does leave we should focus on bringing in Marco Reus. or maybe Draxler. I would much rather keep hold of the little magician though 😞.

not a great player? he's one of our best players lol. tell me please, how Coutinho isn't a great player? he's world class mate, there's a reason why the top clubs in europe are after him.

Why would any player go psg? Win the French league and get beat every year in the champions league.
Psg are Arsenal but they win some paltry league

I don't think Couts is world class yet. But to say he is a not a great player is ridiculous. He is subject of interest from Barcelona, Bayern and PSG. That is the biggest team from Spain, Germany and France. He is Juventus and Man City away from having the top teams in Europes top 5 leagues hunting him!

Think he'll stay till end of the season then weigh up his options, champions league, EPL champions ect.

Id be gutted to see him leave, I'm a big fan. we should be competing with these clubs at European level, not worrying about supplying them with our best players. if we Av a good finish this year, I think it'll take a Barcelona or Bayern serious offer to tempt him.
