Thing is that Owen and Fowler were genuine supremely talented youngsters who were always good enough to make it, their awareness, intelligence and end product was far above their years. Demerai Gray has none of the qualities needed at the highest level and never will have, you cannot coach that into a player.

Of course. I'm not comparing grey to fowler or solanke to Owen. My point was. Let's give them a chance before we judge too harshly. Personally I like the fact that promising youngsters are choosing liverpool.

You know we have invested more than bayern real madrid etc. its being ridiculous investing in potential again. if it was players like calhanoglou (just an example he is not needed for us) or bernardo silva. who are rated highly and perform at the moment too that's what we need. what's your opinion ed001?

Thing is Jonny, Solanke is widely accepted as a talented player, and at 2/ 3m it's a good deal. But 15m for Gray? No way. He's never shown anything to suggest that he's got what it takes at the top level.

Fair enough frankly. Didn't realise we were talking 15 mil for grey. I don't know much about the guy so I can't comment on his ability. I'd rather we bought 1 proven striker than 3 maybes sure. But most proven strikers were maybes once I guess. I fully trust klopp. That was my point really.

Gray makes no sense with the younger wingers like Ojo, Woodburn, Wilson as well as the likes of Kent and Markovic still on the books.

Gray is not coming here as he is not even better than those we have in our U23's. That transfer news a a nothing burger and it ain't going to happen.
