Echo and some other papers are saying kieta blow as rb don't whant to sell. ynwa.

{Ed002's Note - The club already knew that they don't want to sell - so it can't be much of a blow.}

It might be a blow to Naby fans here. They were all sold out saying he is next best thing to sliced bread here.

Same media was saying we are very close.

So we just can't believe any of their news as-is.

Cheers.

No club are going to come out publicly and say "ya our best player is available for transfer and we'd welcome any offers" Rbl are playing the game, it happens all the time. Naby wants the move, we need to make a great offer and get it done. Act like a big club cause we are one and just offer the fee required. It's not very complicated.

06 Jul 2017 18:05:51
Eds said all along it would be nearly impossible to sign him. Its no surprise. Only worry is seems there is no alternatives to him ir VVD. Very worrying.

06 Jul 2017 18:06:28
I believe we'll get him. Just a feeling I have. Teams always say they won't sell but sell anyway.

06 Jul 2017 18:57:22
Think people should move along really. If he repeats this next season, he is available for £48m. Let's just wait a season. He is no better than Wijnaldum, Can, Henderson or Coutinho. He is probably an upgrade on Lallana due to the fact he has potential to improve with Lallana likely to decline from here onwards.

I just cannot justify that obscene price tag. We need a left back, right back, centre back and possibly a striker in Sturridge leaves. I cannot for the life of me see why we would be putting so much effort into a player we are least in need of.

If it happens, great. If not I will not lose any sleep to be honest. He's a good player. Let's not blow it out of proportion though. You don't become world class in 6 months.

06 Jul 2017 19:14:36
no better than Gini, Can orHenderson? did I actually just read that! Clearly never watched the guy play as he is leagues above all three. especially Can who had an awful season, takes far too long on the ball and can only pass sideways. Just because they plays for our team it doesn't mean you should be completely biased.

06 Jul 2017 19:20:01
He is off to Bayern next summer!

06 Jul 2017 19:27:51
Keita stood out a mile in a club the qualified for the champions league, was star performer for two years for Salzburg, yet isn't a top class midfielder? Keita is a significantly better player than you think MK, we're talking about a player with the work rate and intelligence of Kante, but with serious passing and shooting skills. Mind you, you seem to think that Oxlade Chamberlain is adequate in centre midfield, contrary to reason and evidence.

06 Jul 2017 19:28:00
Although it'd be a huge gamble, I'm still hoping we can "Nab" him.

06 Jul 2017 19:30:46
Lallana likely to decline from here onwards?
How have you decided upon that?

06 Jul 2017 19:35:40
How is Lallana likely to decline from here on MK? I don't think we've seen the best of him yet, he's important to the way we play!

06 Jul 2017 17:06:19
Would you think that's that then ed and we move on or might we still put a bid in?

{Ed002's Note - You must like the sound of my voice (or typing I suppose) I have explained over and over. Put the Kleenex away for a few weeks at least.}

06 Jul 2017 20:28:09
Poor tapping up by Klopp 😡.

06 Jul 2017 20:35:02
Wait one year and we get him cheaper in 2018. Simples.

{Ed002's Note - And how would that be?}

06 Jul 2017 20:32:17
The chances were really low to start with. I think the media made more of it then there actually was. Ragnick said that they won't sell any key players and nothing will change that. So i don't think Keita will happen any time soon and i could imagine rb will probally try to buy keitas buy-out-clausel so they won't have to let him go for €50 million next summer.

06 Jul 2017 21:00:03
He has a release clause which I am sure Bayern would trigger next season. We will have absolutely no chance of signing him next season! It's either now or never!

06 Jul 2017 21:51:21
Our squad fell well short last season and will fall well short this season as we haven't improved it in crucial areas.

06 Jul 2017 21:58:50
Oh well. Apology on Monday then?

06 Jul 2017 22:04:13
Ok ed fair enough. Yes Im on here probably to much tbh. But crave for information. Im not on social media or anything else so rely on your info. Sorry to keep posting, I will stop.

06 Jul 2017 23:12:08
MK I usually respect your opinions, although I don't always agree with them, but some of the tripe you've been posting the last couple of weeks, I wonder if you've been hacked by Harry. Namely Keita but also with VVD, when did you become so knowledgeable on player valuations? Do you have a contract working on a transfer comitee we aren't aware of? Keita is no improvement to our midfield bar maybe Lallana, based on what?
I'm not 100% sure I'm correct on this but I think I remember you posting when we were first linked that you've never even watched the boy. As I said not 100% sure if that was you who said it.
You made similar requests to VVD I recall as you were saying the only benefit he will give out team is his height. Not his calmness on the ball? Not his strength? Not his speed, I know he's not the finished article but he's miles ahead of what we have at the back.

06 Jul 2017 23:45:58
Safe to say VD and Keita would both be starting over the rest of our players if they were to come. Also difficult to imagine them leaving their current clubs during this window.

07 Jul 2017 00:09:26
We need to move on. Ed has said multiple times he and VVD is not for sale, and 70m for a player who has played one season in a top league is madness. Yes he's good but if he get him every two years that's our two wingers and centre mid gone for a month. We should move on early and go for more realistic cheaper targets or give the kids a chance. Chelsea signed Rudiger for less than half of what VVD may cost and by all accounts looks a superior defender. The money involved nowadays is madness. I know the money has nothing to do with me but I just hate that the amount of cash being grown around these days.

07 Jul 2017 01:35:51
I wish somebody could explain to me, why we are even discussing the possibility of VVD? It makes no sense to me. We publicly appolagised and said we had pulled out of such a deal, did we Not? We're not signing him lol I'm at my wits end hearing about a player we for sure aren't going to sign. Move on, as much as some would love him to sign, it's not happening.

07 Jul 2017 06:42:34
At least MK is supporting our current players. Half of the people want "world class" Keita who is "streets ahead" of any of our players without ever seeing him play. Or only a handful of times at best. RBL must be every Liverpool fans second team.

07 Jul 2017 07:50:39
Rudiger isn't as good as your making out Westwood, his decision making is pretty poor and he's a bit Titus Bramble at the best of times. Actually rollanfield im pretty sure that MK has said he thought Ox was as good as Keita and we should sign him, which is quite the most absurd thing I've ever heard, given that Ox is no better than Andros Townsend in the 'bang average English winger' stakes and there's only so far that support will take you, out squad demonstrated last year that they fell short of what it takes to win the league and their were deficiencies in centre defence, centre midfield and full back positions.

07 Jul 2017 08:03:46
Keita is not world class and neither is VVD even tho, they have the potential to reach that level. LFC and some of its fans are acting like a guy who has been rejected categorically by a girl BUT who still thinks that if he hangs around long enough, she will change her mind. Sometimes that may happen and other times, you get a restraining order.

VVD and Keita are not for sale, end of story. The 70m on their heads does not mean they are worth it as Keita's release clause is 48m and Saints don't wanna sell. BUT since LFC and some on here cannot for the life of me, take a hint, they keep groveling at Saints and RBL's feet, using sometimes baseless reasons to explain how we should drop 140m on two one-season wonders. Even us being caught tapping up both players (which may explain why RBL wanna shaft us for doing that as Roma did the same for Salah) does not deter them form walking away. Memo to LFC: Move on! RBL and Saints are just not that into you, right now.

07 Jul 2017 08:06:23
As far as Naby Keita goes, i honestly think this is the type of player LFC have been missing since Mascherano (barring no one here likes Mascherano, he was outstanding and vital for us) we tried to give that role to Hendo and as much as i love Hendo, his heal has him hindered. Look at Kante when he played for Leceister, Vital. What happened when he went to Chelsea, some would argue that he won them the league. Pay the money for Keita as i feel he is one league or will be in a season or two above Kante. Especially with lucas gone, He will also just give Coutinho who will drop a more free role and he might give Lovren the confidence to lead the backline as he should have been since e signed him, sign Keita, cheers Grujic. As for an LB clichy on a free until we sign our first choice target.

07 Jul 2017 10:59:46
Fact is, we were well short last year of competing to win the league and by not strengthening with top quality players for the starting 11 in critical positions, we'll be well short again. The answer to our problems isn't Oxlade Chamberlain, Gibson or Mammana, that is for certain.

07 Jul 2017 11:26:24
Call it tripe all you want. Fact is, it is my opinion and I have the right to express it. I haven't seen Keita play a full 90 minutes, you are correct. Which is exactly why I will not sit here and try to justify a £70m bid, unlike plenty of others who also probably haven't seen him play but just like the thought of spending big.

I have repeatedly reiterated that anybody who has seen him play and Genuinely thinks he is worth that, I have no issues with.

From what I have seen though, he is not a significant upgrade and would be a strange signing.

07 Jul 2017 12:39:46
I've seen him play 90 minutes plenty of times on BT sport, he's the real deal. Leads by example and is the sort who loves getting stuck in, the fact it's married to real talent and intelligence is why this lad is going to be a top footballer. To even think that someone as poor as Ox could be a second choice is horrifying, as he isn't fit to lace Keita's boots let alone take a place in our centre midfield. It's like comparing Gerrard with Charlie Adam.
