Ojo to Boro, I think it's a better move for him than Newcastle. A move to a premier league club would have been ideal however I don't see him getting regular games at any premier league club.

Yh but if he wants to play for liverpool he needs to prove himself at the highest level.

11 Jul 2017 18:17:09
Please no. if he goes to boro he'll likely not play for us again.

11 Jul 2017 18:42:31
i don't see the big deal, if he's good enough he'll make it, if he's not he won't. Hardly rocket science!

Good for him, but gutted in a way, wish we could've seen him play for us more this season but again, it's a good move for him to give him regular football.

11 Jul 2017 20:01:39
Unless there has been a change at Boro, we couldn't have sent him to a team that is more opposite to how we play. hope it goes well for him.

11 Jul 2017 21:25:49
Things have changed they have a new manager and from what I've seen monk wants his team's to play good football he's not just a long ball merchant.

11 Jul 2017 21:40:23
Monk does want them to attack, I fancy Ojo to get plenty of game time.

11 Jul 2017 21:56:05
Yeah I reckon he'd be a starter the majority of the season Hansens, he can be vital for them I'm sure, should he stay fit.

11 Jul 2017 22:05:20
Flanno should go as well to a club luke boro or Villa.,

A season playing regular football in the championship would build up his resistance better tha warming a bench at Anfield or Burnley.

Its make or break for the lad this season.

Boro are a good team for giving promising youngsters s chance. My mate is callum chambers uncle. He said he liked it ar biro but want to go back to arsenal. Wenger really likes him and wants to keep hold of him but he wants regular matches. Is he good enough for us? Mani killed him last year. Arsenal Ard signing lacazette! Why couldn't we get him? Too slow. Come on liverpool, put your money where your mouth is. Time to spend that 200 mkl we were promised. Coul get kieta and vvd, Robertson and still have 50/ 60 mil for z striker. We are not going to win the league without a top goal scorer. No one has ever won the prem without a 25+ man. Arsenal also fancy vvd. They have a very slick transfer team and could charm him. We need to move this week and offer 70 mil for both players. So what, we want to win don't we? We were unbelievable last season. Best football in the league. If we had someone like lacazette I reckon we would be really dangerous against any team in the world.

12 Jul 2017 01:56:42
Will be a baptism of fire for him. Championship is rough, decent level of football. I have a feeling that ojo could light up our front line. Been saying we need a goal scorer, 25+. He could be that man. Been ages since we had a kid who made defenders gulp.

12 Jul 2017 04:21:08
Just to add. Salah, firmino and mane are as dangerous as they come. That is some front line. With capable fbs and creative midfielder (coutinio ) I can see mane getting 20+ if he doesn't get injured.

12 Jul 2017 05:28:06
I know it sounds rash bur we need to get our skates on. We want new players to settle a little before new season. And others are trying to sign them. Just pay the asking price, we are going to have some team, if we get these two. Thought kieta was pie in the sky but looks like he's coming.

Ojo has already proved himself in the championship with 2 other clubs.
I'm afraid I agree, this loan is not a good sign for Ojo at LFC.

{Ed001's Note - that is the problem, he has not proved himself. He was on the fringes both loan spells as he is simply not ready yet.}

12 Jul 2017 09:00:51
Should he stay fit this season and do well, he MUST be given a chance with our first team next season or I fear we'll lose him, I have everything crossed for this lad. Watched him for along time now and he really excites me for the future.

12 Jul 2017 09:24:02
So many fans (of other clubs too, I'm sure) MASSIVELY overreact where young players are concerned. Ojo isn't either ready or good enough to make our bench most weeks, so loaning him makes total sense. 2ndly not every young player is like Rooney or Alli and ready to be top class Prem players in their teens. 3rdly loads of highly promising youngsters don't make it at big clubs we just hear about them less because we're less interested in other teams young players. A loan will be good for Ojo as he'll either prove he's becoming the player we hope, or he'll do well enough to earn himself a transfer and us some money.

12 Jul 2017 09:43:04
Fabcrusoe - I have a feeling one day you will eat your words, your saying 'Ojo isn't either ready or good enough to make our bench most weeks' Ed1 said he isn't ready, which I will believe because it's coming from him. I have a feeling you are just taking people's words for it and haven't even seen him play, he has talent, he can be the full package with a bit more experience.

If it wasn't for his back injury last season I feel he'd be going nowhere on loan and we would be slowly putting him into the first team with cup games to start off with. But to me, as ed1 has stated, he isn't ready and I feel this is the reason behind him not been ready.

Unfortunately his injury set him back, not his fault is it? it's just unfortunate. Onwards and upwards for that lad I think.

I agree a lot of fans do overreact over some youngsters, but Ojo is at another level, I'm not saying he's going to be world class or anything because nobody knows right now, but at least a good player he will be, providing luck goes his way for once.

Ed1, your a busy guy I appreciate that but would love for you to do an article on Ojo, your opinions and excellent knowledge of players/ staff is second to none. If you could add this to your big list mate I think it'd make a great read.

12 Jul 2017 10:58:34
I have a feeling he will struggle to break into the boro side but we will see, I hope he does well.

12 Jul 2017 11:06:50
Yes going on loan can be great but if he goes on loan to the championship next year he will have the exact same questions hanging over him of is he ready for the premier league. He will be another year older and us fans will likely be calling for another winger to be signed by then. Woodburn will probably stay and move further ahead of him in the pecking order too.

12 Jul 2017 11:41:34
Personally think a loan with Newcastle is better. A year under Rafa might change his game. I rate him but in the games I have watched he seems a bit loose with the ball. Has the attributes to succeed though for sure.

12 Jul 2017 11:48:01
He will get games somewhere down the line in the championship, simply down to the sheer number of matches they play across various competitions.
Its a bit rougher too, will toughen him up and teach him to be smarter on the ball. Precisely what Leicester did with Mahrez, but they did it internally.
What one of the previous posters said is bang on, he will either show Liverpool enough to get some games for us next season or will prove he has the ability to help another club and get transferred.

Good luck to him, I love a direct, forward thinking player.

12 Jul 2017 15:45:23
12 thumbs down for saying we need a top striker? And for saying we won't win league without a 20+ man. We'll no one has EVER Won the prem without a 20+ man. I also concede that mani should have got over twenty last season if not for injury and African cup and could be that man. I hope he is. I still feel we need another striker and if we keep making low offers for players then the big spenders are going to swoop in and sign em from under our noses. Kieta is already talking about city. Mbappe is meeting with arsenal. Both Could be at melwood already.

14 Jul 2017 02:15:36
Superred, mate, while I admit you're getting unfairly thumbed down (I assume you've REALLY gotten on the nerves of a bunch of people and they're getting personal), that last comment is complete garbage.

Some seasons of the Prem didn't even have 20+ goal scorers, and they definitely don't rule a team out of winning if they don't have one.

Maybe think before you post and do some damage control on that rep of yours.
