To the people worried stating reports that Coutinho has agreed a contract etc with Barca, ignore it. These are the same papers that stated several thousand times that Keita had signed!
I personally cannot see Coutinho leaving this summer. We are back in the Champions League and I am sure Klopp and the board are in agreement that we will not sell our best players, for this summer at least.
I cannot see Coutinho forcing the issue, he has respect for the club and the fans, he is not that type of person.
If you ignore all other reports and just listen to the eds the summer is a lot less painful.
Ed2 has said at least for now, he expects Coutinho to be here at least another season.
He stated a long time ago that Robertson was our most likely left back.
He has stated that Keita is not for sale.
He has stated that Can is considering his options. (ed is it feasible that we may keep Can even if he does not sign a new contract and let him see out his last 12 months? )
He has stated we have not gone back in for VVD after what happened. So unless they approach us, then this deal is off the table for now.
@ED2 what is the situation with the Ox now? all seems to of gone quiet on that front?

I think I have read that wenger wants him to stay but Chelsea and man city are also keen on him.

We won't let can's contract run down he is not an old man he is 23? Reported 34 mil seems cheap compared to other transfers this year. I hope he stays.
As for coutinio, you are right he has respect for us and that respect is returned. He's a good guy. That is exactly why we can't stand in the way of his dream move. If he stays I want it to be because he wants to. Not a prisoner. If he gives us another year as his choice I'll be chuffed. If he stays forever he would become an field legend. Stay Phil, we will win this year. Need can too.

It's all set up around our CL playoff. If we win I think Couts stays, if we lose ( god forbid) I can see him asking to be let go. As stated by others, he has become world class at LFC, and will want to play in world class competition (with his best mate) . Truth is we need to win that playoff to keep our best players, and qualify regularly ongoing.

The owners have categorically said that they won't sell Couts under any circumstances if they do sell him then I will unfortunately have to concede that Ozone was right about them all along . I hope that for the sake of our club that Ozone is wrong. We should NEVER sell our best players unless they put in a transfer request and in this circumstance if we do it should be on our terms for an amount that would allow us to afford a similar or better player. I hope that Ozone never gets to say " I told you so "

Ozone mate, just like to clarify that my post is not an attack on you, actually I admire that you are consistent in your convictions and that you remain steadfast in your beliefs unlike the bipolar nature of some posters . In this instance however I pray that you are wrong . As unpopular as your views are sometimes I gauge that you as passionate about LFC . I hope we steer well clear of Ox, we don't need another winger, he's not a centre midfielder, his agent is Aidy Ward and he will not improve our starting 11, he's very expensive squad filler.
