Ed Aarons of The Guardian seems to think that we are interested in Seri from Nice. Do any of the eds know anything about this? Seems to me like he could be a nice alternative to Naby. Not quite as good but the same kind of player and a cheaper price tag

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach to Nice by Liverpool but will check. There is interest from other sides in him and with Keita supposedly house hunting it would be rather a knee jerk reaction if they have approached Nice - who would be unlikely to want to sell.}

I would imagine Nice would absolutely hold out on making Seri decisions until the CL qualifiers are done, and be able to say no way if they make it in. Doesn't seem like a sensible target to me.

If seri reports are true I don't think that bodes well with kieta interest. Would we go for both? I like the vasquez rumour and hope we land him.

Macca really haven't won me over this entire window. Yeah he did call the Robertson and Salah deal, but so did the Ed's and about 75% of the english media including that godsforsaken rag The S*n. I hope he is right in the last prophesy because we sure could use some quality, but by now it looks like Coutinho will be lost as well.

Ed did we not want Keita before Coutinho handed in a request? therefore could we maybe want both, would sure add the energy our midfield needs. And correct me if im wrong but did the nice president not say "release clauses don't mean much in football today, but if a 40 million euro bid was to be made he will be allowed to leave"? At least that's what multiple reports are saying. Thanks.

Mate Macca posts here to merely inform Liverpool fans about what is happening at their club - he ain't always right but he definitely has good knowledge and a proven track record: he ain't here to win anyone over he is just a guy looking to clue a few of us in and he is always offering words of caution with every piece of info he gives - I wonder why he bothers when you have posters like you.

Macca is not here to "win [you] over", smedegaard. It's a rumours site, he's not going to be right 100% of the time, nor does he need to be.

To be fair to Macca he gives us the information he has.
At the time he said VVD was done most in the club thought it was. but we royally screwed it up.
At the time he said Keita would be done most in the club thought it was. but we didn't understand RBL's position.
At the time he said Coutinho would stay he hadn't handed in a transfer request.
Macca can only provide the info as he knows it and it would appear, by what has come out since, that his info was spot on in relation to what the club were doing and believing at the time.

I, personally, look forward to the Macca posts. He's always comes across as a genuine and honest guy. In my opinion, he would never intentionally lie or mislead us fellow reds.
I just hope he doesn't listen to the negativity on here and he continues to keep us ahead of the game.
Maybe we should start a 'Macca Appreciation Page'.

Seri looks very similar to that of Keita. four years older but they look very similar players. Nice have no reason to sell though so he won't be cheap. It would mean the end for Keita though. Keita will be much more sought after next season. Maybe if Liverpool Qualify for UCL and Nice fail to overcome Napoli?

No matter how good your sources may be they can never be 100% certain until a move or decision is made and done. It's nice of macca eds and others to share what info they get.

It could be old info, like a week old. When Liverpool were pushing hard and the RBL official mentioned village in Guinea. He may have got the ball rolling then looking for properties. But a week later it was met with a firm NOT FOR SALE. So perhaps houses were looked at although not in person, the info maybe a week late when Macca received it.

the whole point of having inside information is seeing things before they happen and getting ahead of the media, if he didn't see that we hadn't agreed a fee with Southampton, or hadn't seen that coutinho wasn't about to hand in a transfer request then he knows nothing more than anyone else.

Dont get me wrong. I appreciate every rumour posted by Macca or any Ed. Im just starting to be worn out by this rollercoster window and a bit sceptical. I bet Coutinho has got a nice prefurnitured flat Keita can move straight into. I recall these solutions has been used before.
