Are we genuinely interested in Dayot Upamecano Eds or is this more papertalk? It's almost hilarious if we are interested as the papers have an 18 year old who is worth between £7.5m and £12m max and us having to pay €100m.

Get out is he 18! I thought he was about 25. Agree he isn't worth €100m but if he is 18 he is seriously talented.

I've only seen him once when i watched Leipzig earlier this season. I have to be honest i was watching Keita, but from what i remember of Upamecano he was a monster. I had no idea he was still a teenager so just assumed he was a decent centre back. Now i know he is barely out of school i want to watch him again, more closely to get a better idea.
All i can say is he looked like a seasoned pro, and was physically dominant. I wouldn't like to say any more after one game where i wasn't paying much attention to him.

He has some pretty impressive ball skills - more like a midfielder than a CB and gets up the pitch quickly.
He is defensively strong and good in the air as well as tackling.
Is he worth 100m? Well no, I don't think any defender is - but at 19 years old he has longevity on his side and if VVD is 70m pounds then 100m euros ain't that bad!
Mind you we won't get 100m for all 3 current CB's so its a $$$ outlay.
