Hi eds,

Is there any truth in the rumours linking Origi to Athletico if they can't get Diego Costa back?

I for one hope there isn't any truth in this as I believe that Origi will establish himself as a very important player for us this season.

Thanks.

19Mcarroll92

{Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of.}

1.) 20 Jul 2016 11:34:02
Yes, would lose a lot of faith if we sold Origi.

2.) 20 Jul 2016 11:37:31
Poppycock. Bleacher report -> The star, the metro, the telegraph, and the mirror.
Enough said.
Origi is going nowhere. Except maybe Caesar's Palace.

Hi eds, I know a while back you mentioned that Ben Chigwell was almost done, is there any advancement in the deal or is it stalling because we are waiting to see the severity of his injury?

Thanks.

19Mcarroll92

{Ed002's Note - I don't recall saying "almost done". Liverpool are indeed interested and the player is injured right now. There is no rush.}

1.) 17 Jun 2016 13:35:55
I remember you saying it's all but done.

{Ed001's Note - no he did not, you might want to go back and read what was actually said. Ed002 informed us that another club had turned their interest elsewhere as they believed he was set for Liverpool.}

2.) 17 Jun 2016 13:58:32
I'm concerned that the Ben Chigwell deal may be held up by his money grabbing agent, Joey Essex.

3.) 17 Jun 2016 18:03:19
It's Chilwell.

4.) 18 Jun 2016 06:47:23
Looks like we will miss out on Ben chingwell as well as the mysterious enigma which was ken aguero.

{Ed001's Note - gutted about that. We can't keep missing out on these world class talents and let the likes of Man City pick up their lesser talented brethren.....}

03 Jun 2016 21:43:21
Eds,

Anything in us going after Joao Mario? Seems a decent player.

Thanks.

19Mcarroll92

{Ed002's Note - Sporting priced Joao Mario out of a move to Napoli in the summer and unless they look to price him more realistically nobody will be calling. There is interest from four clubs in England, including Chelsea who have held discussions, and PSG who are in negotiations but price is the sticking point. Liverpool are not one of those clubs.}

1.) 03 Jun 2016 23:30:31
An excellent player, but I suspect out of our reach.

2.) 04 Jun 2016 08:17:03
Thanks ed,

I was wondering with many of our targets or so called targets like emre mor and Bastien being quite young, and a lot of fans crying out for a big name player (I myself don't think we need a big name just hungry players who want to win) is there any of the big names being spoken too or anything happening with any big names that you know of?

{Ed002's Note - It is a "subjective" term. Bastien is of course a Rodgers target, but as you say young.}

31 May 2016 08:07:08
Hi Eds and reds,

You mentioned el ghazi as a possibility last night and said you expect to hear more about him as the transfer window goes on, do you believe he is a top target of ours and we have a real chance of signing him?

19Mcarroll92

{Ed002's Note - I have explained for the last 6 months that Liverpool have been looking at El Ghazi. I cannot give any assurances about whether he will move to Anfield or not.}

1.) 31 May 2016 10:35:02
He looks like some player on youtube.

But so did Oussama Assaidi.

Why do I even look any more.

2.) 31 May 2016 10:45:11
Joe that's exactly when I stopped looking at YouTube for players I was convinced assaidi was coming in to win us the league single handedly ha.

3.) 31 May 2016 11:32:57
I've watched El Ghazi pretty regularly. I think MK pretty much got it spot on in his summation.

Youtube shows his better games at the start of the season. He really needs to work hard but Klopp will have time to work with him without Champs league football. Good buy IMO.

Hi eds, just seen a media report linking us with breel emboli as one of klopps top targets, don't know much apart from YouTube about the lad. Is he a target and is he any good?

Thanks.

19Mcarroll92

{Ed002's Note - Basel's Breel Embolo remains a target of Arsenal, Borussia Moenchengladbach, Spurs, Inter, Juventus, Red Bull Leipzig and West Ham with Basel aware of interest from all of these clubs in addition to Wolfsburg who have discussed a transfer with the club. Inter will push to agree a summer move as they don't have the money for a January transfer unless they can offload Icardi. Barcelona, Everton, Real Madrid, Southampton, Liverpool and Leicester have also had the player watched.}

1.) 12 May 2016 09:12:47
To be honest, if he doesn't fancy Benteke, I have no idea why he'd go for Emboli as they are very similar.

2.) 12 May 2016 11:06:08
I take it you have never watched embolo play so Mr. dennis as he is nothing like benteke.

3.) 12 May 2016 14:50:24
Maybe he means because they both have small ears. Although still, not really. They're hardly Kolo sized. ;)

4.) 12 May 2016 15:31:29
Hhahaha. Embolo is a radically different player from Benteke. They both kick the ball with their feet. That's where the similarities end.

Seriously, where do people come up with this stuff?

Embolo, actually, is a lot like Ousmane Dembele -- lots of pace, but arguably more power than Dembele. I've been advocating us going after Embolo for a while. He can offer us explosive pace and power off the wing.

No surprise that the links to Embolo have appeared just as it seems Dembele has committed to BvB. The Guardian reported that Klopp spoke to Dembele last week, and said he was "impressed" by Klopp's plans, but then later said "he knows where he's going" after explicitly rejecting Leicester.

He's going to BvB, so maybe Embolo was another name on our list after Dembele.

{Ed023's Note - Dortmund have confirmed the transfer of Dembele}

5.) 12 May 2016 19:34:09
Hes a YouTube player. Seen him play and he looks like his brain and his feet aren't connected most of the time, shows flashes of brilliance but that's all. Not convinced.

6.) 12 May 2016 20:45:21
You do he's 19 years old 😇.

7.) 13 May 2016 06:21:53
Eds - what are your thoughts on Embolo? He is only slightly older than Ojo but both look to be quite similar in their play, size and strength. Is he leaps ahead of Ojo or similar in quality and so we just stick with what we have?

{Ed002's Note - He is a decent player that many clubs are taking note of. It is always difficult to compare one player with another.}

8.) 13 May 2016 08:38:05
For a young lad he's certainly worth keeping an eye on, he's good now, got plenty of time to improve further.

9.) 13 May 2016 12:33:44
Thanks Ed002.

10.) 13 May 2016 17:30:05
More like bolasie on steroids.

Hi there eds,

Just a quick one, if the Coric rumours are true do you believe the club lined him up as a replacement for Ibe?

Thanks.

19Mcarroll92

{Ed001's Note - I don't know a lot about him, just that he is extremely highly rated. In fact I was told he was the best at his age from Croatia ever. Not sure if that is correct or not, as I have not seen him play, but that is what a couple of scouts and coaches from the area have said to me.}

1.) 07 Jul 2016 20:04:36
Do we hold any interest in the lad, or is it just utter nonsence? I feel like we keep the number 8 shirt in stock for someone special.

2.) 07 Jul 2016 20:46:04
Ed002 doesn't know of any interest so that to me means there is nothing happening yet.

08 Jun 2016 09:56:31
Hi eds,

Seeing a lot of reports linking us with Hector Herrera and Ruben neves, anything in these links?

19Mcarroll92

{Ed002's Note - Try the search engine please.}

04 Jun 2016 18:47:38
Hi eds,

Another day another transfer your. This time we have apparently agreed a fee for Jonas Hector, anything in this? And another story we have had a bid rejected for Leroy sane, again any truth?

Thanks.

19Mcarroll92

{Ed002's Note - RTP.}

Hi eds.

Just seen a rumour that we are chasing Filip kostic of stuttgart, £20m release clause, never seen him so would like to know if the rumours are true and what is your rating of the lad.

19Mcarroll92

{Ed002's Note - I can confirm that in the summer Liverpool will be buying all German players, all players with Germanic names and all players whose family have owned German Shepherds during the past three generations. Did you try the search engine?}

1.) 11 Apr 2016 14:11:05
Btw ed is having a laugh. Great banter eds.

2.) 11 Apr 2016 14:53:55
Thanks for clarifying Redman Reus, phew.

3.) 11 Apr 2016 18:38:11
Thanks Redman, thanks for pointing that one out. Very observant.

4.) 11 Apr 2016 19:14:21
Ed002 does that include players that are dual nationality? What if they are half German half French and chose to play for French national team? Will we still sign them as they are half German? Also is eating Schitzel a minimum requirement?
Just in case, I too am joking!

{Ed002's Note - I don't think you are taking this seriously.}

5.) 11 Apr 2016 19:28:29
What about people who own German cars? Surely we are interested in them too?

6.) 11 Apr 2016 21:01:41
What about players that have watched Das Boot?

7.) 12 Apr 2016 01:01:44
Or sprechen Deutsch? Can I have a contract and a hug please?

8.) 12 Apr 2016 01:28:47
What about those people who sell German sausages?

Yipster Amavi looked really good before his injury and then never played for the rest of the season he would be a very good signing providing there is no long lingering issues after his injury.

Have we really bid 15million? Not seen much of him but trust in what klopp wants to do.

Apparently higuain was subbed off in the 74th minute and klopp left the game in the 76th minute coincidence?

Eds, with noone in midfield being safe, do you believe that we have several midfield targets (the ones mentioned in the original post) having deals either in place or under discussion? Do you also think that he do could be up for the chop?

19Mcarroll92

{Ed002's Note - I don't think there are any plans for Lucas to leave right now and with Henderson, Can, Lucas, Milner, Stewart, Allen, Brannagan, Rossiter and Chrivella all playing in an area (where only two would typically start) and Grujic arriving I am not sure it will be the priority area where the club will look to make changes in the summer. I do however think that Allen may well leave and Rossiter has gone. If Lucas were also to leave and a decision made not to promote any of the youngsters then perhaps the club would look to this as more of a priority.}

I have read ED02 comment on this matter and you are correct Hamilton red about Liverpool not being mentioned in said comment however there is nowhere that it is said not to be true by ed02 either so what you have said is not true.

The injuries that flanno has had Black Raven are not easy to get over believe me, nor the ones suffered by Ings and gomes, I suffered an acl injury 2 years ago and still recovering fully after surgery. Now yes it's different these lads have the top end physios and medics around at their place of work every day but these injuries affect you for life not just the recovery stage. So to say that he has regressed under Klopp because he had a bad few games in the only 6 months that he has been fit in three years is absurd. He may continue to pick up niggles next season too because he will always be recovering from those injuries.

Black Raven how can you say he has regressed under Klopp? the lads been injured for a couple of seasons now and weren't upto the pace of the premier league when cleared for duty, so Klopp didn't risk him. I would love to know your reasons behind the regressed under Klopp comment.
