Good morning Eds and reds

It has gone quiet with regard to Benteke leaving. Have you any idea as to wether Palace are planning to up their bid or is there someone interested?

Personally I hope he does leave, just don't see him fitting into a kloop team.

Also do you expect any big surprise to us moving on a so called big name?

Cheers for all your efforts and knowledge

YNWA.

{Ed001's Note - I expect them to return for him.}

1.) 22 Jul 2016 09:36:00
Hi Ed, do you think that they will fail to land Bacca then?

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - most likely.}

2.) 22 Jul 2016 10:09:35
Fingers crossed - not because I think he's a bad player just not right for our style of play and there is too much £ investment in him to sit on our bench!

3.) 22 Jul 2016 10:27:41
ed, is it not west ham who are in for bacca?

{Ed001's Note - they are the ones most likely to get him yes.}

4.) 22 Jul 2016 20:48:45
I have just seen Palace have bid for Berahino. Ed fo you think they have moved on from Benteke?

{Ed001's Note - doubt it they need two strikers.}

5.) 22 Jul 2016 21:12:38
Thanks Ed.

15 Jul 2016 10:38:50
Good morning Eds and heads

What's your take on Allen? Do you think he will leave? If so to who? And what kind of price do you think we could get for him?

Cheers for all your insight

Thanks.

2penceworth

{Ed002's Note - Putting aside the price, the club clearly don't see a future for him going forward and Swansea do maintain an interest. I suspect Brendan Rodgers would be interested as well but priced out of a move.}

1.) 15 Jul 2016 13:10:01
Cheers mate thanks for reply.

2.) 17 Jul 2016 08:06:24

Hi eds

Quick message is there any updates with regards to Can signing a new contract? I would be absolutely gutted to see him leave.

Keep up the good work

Cheers.

2penceworth

{Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry.}

Afternoon lads

Origi has been worrying me our last few games. I love his enthusiasm but i really don't know has he the awareness to be a success. I hope I'm proved wrong but not looking likely

What do ye make of him, I also do understand he is young

Cheers.

Erm its difficult. The last few games none of Liverpool's players (apart from Coutinho really) have been playing particularly well. It would of been interesting to see him earlier on in the season when we was playing better football to judge him. Yet when Coutinho, Firmino and Mane are in the team, I don't see him getting in.

2.) 28 Apr 2017 14:21:28
Give him Time, I am very confident about him I think he will kick on in time and be our next number 9 I think.

3.) 28 Apr 2017 15:47:13
He has very poor football intelligence- always appears to run into trouble and needs to simplify his game rather than just running the ball into blind alleys.

4.) 28 Apr 2017 15:50:00
Everyone plays better when Mane is on the pitch. He seems to stretch teams at the back which gives Origi more room to play in.

Origi like most of our players seems to do well against the bigger teams I think, his advantages don't lie with the quick passing we get with Firmino and Coutinho and he's pretty much our only striker that is good in the air.

He is still young, he'd be a great option off the bench the fact we have to rely on him so heavily because of injuries puts his limitations in the spotlight. Give him some more time 22 is still really young. I'd be more inclined to have a go if he didn't put a shift in but he clearly does.

5.) 28 Apr 2017 18:43:54
I get the impression with Origi that he was easily able to bully and outrun people at youth level and never really had to learn to be a bit more savvy than that.

Still he's only just gone 22, has only had two stop-start seasons at this level, showed at the end of last season that he can be a good player. It'd be nice (and possibly good for him too) if we had Sturridge or Mane available and didn't have to depend on him under these high pressure circumstances, but it is what it is.

6.) 29 Apr 2017 09:55:04
Origi is talented with all the tools needed to be the modern day CF. He just needs time and game time to put it all together. He's young and still learning the game so he needs time and experience to become effective and more savvy.

Hi All

Hopefully another good performance today and more importantly 3 points.

Whats the best site to watch the game online today?

Cheers 🍻

Found one called fromhots
Been using that one for a while now it's the best I have ever managed to find online.

2.) 02 Jan 2017 14:55:10
There are few high quality (in terms of visual) websites that do not have connectivity issues. I'd personally recommend Zorrostream (formerly Batman stream and before that something else I forgot) - has a bunch of links and is generally as stable as your internet connection. If you only got a poor internet connection though (like less than 20mb) then it might not be so good. Alternatively cricfree is good and pretty reliable too though again not great in terms of quality.

3.) 02 Jan 2017 15:58:32
Modro class picture as well.

4.) 02 Jan 2017 20:14:23
there are a couple out there.
myp2p
firstrowsports
livefootballol (this requires software like Acestream and Sopcast)

Shame about the result today.

Hi all

So that's another window come and gone. Since We got nearly all our business done early doors, it was a bit of anticlimax end to the window for us.

I just have a niggling feeling that our owners are planning to sell. Especially with the business we've done. Overall in the back for 14+ million. For me it doesn't show a big statement with the investment in the team. I think they are planning for an exit.

I do trust Klopp to take us forward again this season but to do this, we seriously need to figure how to break down teams that sit back,

1.) 03 Sep 2016 14:34:49
They might be planning to sell, but there is no evidence for that in the transfer business. This window is not proof of the club not spending money, we invested heavily once more, offset a little by Klopp picking Bundesliga bargains.
If anything, it shows how wasteful we have been in previous years - because the owners invested heavily then. Sadly, many of the players were not the right choice - but hey, there were many, and that's what the FANS want, more shiny toys each year. Without european football we had to clear deck, and the squad is still a little bit too large.

I wholeheartedly agree on the last point, my great hope is an increase in hard won 2-1 and 3-1 victories, if we manage to carry on the Europa resilience we showed towards the end of last season. Win at home, draw away, and will go a long way!

2.) 03 Sep 2016 15:03:50
I don't think we broke even or made a profit like some people are saying.
But we did spend a good amount, and we also made a good amount as well, partly due to how many players we had to shift and getting some decent fees for some of them.
I don't think it has anything to do with what the owners are doing.

3.) 03 Sep 2016 17:18:15
We didn't profit this window. Ed002 said so.

4.) 03 Sep 2016 18:55:10
We didn't waste money like in previous windows, when we over spent on players we didn't play. let's just get behind our team.

5.) 03 Sep 2016 20:43:05
21 players out ( not counting loans) and just 7 in, so the incomings are ballpark 3 times the value Of The out's, this has to be a good thing, wish a lb was in there but hay ho, Rome in a day and all that.
Left backs are like rocking horse s√|π these days.

6.) 03 Sep 2016 21:45:59
Tjred, I think when Ed02 said we didn't make a profit he was taking into account agents fees etc but as far as I can remember we've always took the Incomings from outgoings so in that case I think we have turned a profit. With this "profit" and what you would think a trimmed wage bill as well as future income increase by stadium capacity I think the owners are paving the way to sell. Remember the 7 year exit plan DIC had? aren't FSG in 6th year? Only teasing with that comment but I think it's on the cards.

{Ed002's Note - There was no profit.}

7.) 03 Sep 2016 22:08:33
Ed02, not normally one to go checking things in minute detail but a quick search and result on THIS IS ANFIELD states £61.9 spent and £77.8 in sales.?

{Ed002's Note - I don't know what that is but it is incorrect - or are you suggesting the figures Liverpool supplied to UEFA are incorrect. And why is it in GB£? And in addition to that there were significant signing on fees, legal costs, costs to agents. This is why we don't discuss money. Maybe Liverpool lied to UEFA - that would be pretty serious?}

8.) 03 Sep 2016 22:29:38
What's a good rule of thumb for finances? Without going indepth, say add 50% to cover the cost us fans never consider?
I understand the hassle of explaining and clarifying money spent questions, but is it better to think if the press add our transfer fees to show we spent £60m on players, really it was more like £90m.

Think it might shut a few moaners up and stop a few future questions.

{Ed002's Note - It has all been dealt with in the past.}

9.) 03 Sep 2016 22:32:31
Ok ED02, TIA website has got the numbers wrong, can I put it another way or maybe the same way as my ogiginal post, did LFC receive more from
Sales (excluding agents fees, signing on fees VAT Isn Ayres dry cleaning bill etc etc etc etc etc ) than they spent on new players, I know Matips signing on fee could be quite relevant but for this purpose let's leave it aside. If you still insist no any chance of a breakdown. Cheers Ed.

{Ed002's Note - I have answered this repeatedly - no.}

10.) 03 Sep 2016 22:45:23
So no breakdown then?
Good night God bless Ed.

Moreno and Flannagan in my opinion neither anywhere good enough for us. Flanno has the heart but not the ability and Moreno is Moreno. Left Full back should be a must
