Before we all bemoan the transfer targets LFC allegedly 'miss out on' this window, was it 2 years ago teeth were grinding because Southampton signed Ramirez over us. and he looked great on youtube. don't know his FIFA stats, but then I lost interest in computer games after sensible soccer, ask your parents.

I used to live near Portsmouth, went to Fratton Park a lot. That's one hell of an atmosphere from 18,000 fans. Though I nearly got in a lot of trouble sat in the Fratton End when Torres scored a last minute winner in a 3-2, let's just say I was the only one cheering.

The Express only has 16 journalists (at the last count) covering the entire paper. It might get slightly better now Trinity Mirror have taken it from Murdoch Lite, Richard Desmond. The reality is none of the papers have even the slightest. which is why we should show the eds and this site a lot more respect. *mic drop*.

That's like the wolf dressing up as Grandma and blaming red Riding Hood for pointing it out, we're not always the victims Harry, but this is definitely our fault.

I've been reading this site since it was just football-rumours. My first ever post is purely because that is my favourite ever ed002 response of the last eight years!

Thanks for the reply, I thought it looked a lot more like our workrate of last season watching the game. Completely agree that we miss the Ox, but flashes of brilliance from Keita yesterday makes me think that we'll have two quality players in the same role in the future.

Great reading as always Ed001, thanks for all the effort you put into these. You've mentioned before that we haven't played the high intensity football we saw last year as it can't be sustained over a season, this was the first match I've seen where we hounded every Bournemouth player almost 3 on 1 every time they had possession. Do you think this is Klopp turning up the energy for the rest of the season, or just the way he set up to play Bournemouth?

{Ed001's Note - I think it is a bit of both. I think he is beginning to crank it up slightly anyway, but also he sees it as the way to beat Bournemouth so asked for a bit more of it.}

They were never on John Madden for the Mega drive (ask your parents kids), which is where all my NFL knowledge comes from, so this was a brilliant read. It's a sport I've been watching and enjoying recently so this'll set me off on some good YouTube research, cheers Ed001.

{Ed001's Note - that was the extent of my knowledge too, though that game is still going, I saw it for sale here the other day and nearly picked up a copy for nostalgia's sake. Then I saw the price and spent the next few hours moaning about the price of new games these days instead.
Really glad you enjoyed, ESPN have done a documentary about this that is worth a watch and there is a film in the making I found out as well.}

He reminds me of when we signed Ryan Babel. I was so excited when we signed what looked like such a brilliant young player. They both look like they have all the attributes to be world class, except being able to play competitive football unfortunately.

If that's the broadcasting legend Mike Dicken, you were lucky to have him as a pal Ed002, I loved him on the radio.
