Hi Eds,

Do you know if Liverpool are looking or even taking an interest in Morten Frendrup from Genoa?

I have seen a few links from both Italy and England now, but I don’t know it these are reliable. A Danish media says it is not true, but I value your information and knowledge much higher than any journalist.

Hope you can help.

Thanks in advance!

ACfromDK

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

Hi eds,

Maybe a random name, but I have heard Liverpool have had scouts attend FC Nordsjællands games. Have they been scouting Ernest Nuamah or do you know of any interest in him from elsewhere?

He looks a real talent.

Thanks in advance!

AC from DK.

ACfromDK

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool will have no interest in adding yet another LW.}

1.) 18 Apr 2023 09:21:49
I thought they may have had a look at him. He plays RW for FC Nordsjælland, cutting in on his left foot. He has occasionally played through the center.

But thanks for the reply ed002. Hope you are well, and thank you for all the insight you share with us!

Hi Eds,

A youth coach at FC Nordsjælland has said that Mohammed Kudus should pick Liverpool, if that option should present itself. I know a lot of clubs have looked at him, including Premier League clubs.

Since the coach name dropped Liverpool specifically, do you know if Liverpool have looked at him?

ACfromDK

{Ed002's Note - I really have no idea if Liverpool have looked to the kid but Mohammed Kudus (S) Galatasaray, Red Bull Salzburg and Sampdoria have spoken in general terms with his club about a transfer and have been asked for €6M. Marseille and Everton were represented at a game against Brondby but I have not made any approach at this time.}

1.) 10 Jun 2020 10:56:05
Thanks for the replay Ed.

{Ed002's Note - I should add that RBS are not convinced he is up to standard - described as "raw".}

2.) 10 Jun 2020 13:49:30
what do HSBC think?

04 Dec 2013 22:46:49
Do Liverpool have a buy-back clause on Shelvey?
It's probably MOTM fever, but if he develops into a class player in the next few years, it would have been shrewd business if we got a buy-back clause on him.

thanks in advance.

ACfromDK

{Ed001's Note - no and he is not developing into a top class player, he is still too rash and too slow.}

Ed001, if you are around mate. What is your assesment of Danny Ward as a goalkeeper? Do you think he has what it takes to be a goalkeeper for Liverpool?

Sorry if you have already answered the question before. I tried searching both on the Liverpool site and in the player profiles, and couldn’t find anything new other than you think he has to stay after practice and push himself to be number 1, and I hasn’t up until now.

Thanks in advance.

ACfromDK

{Ed001's Note - you didn't search very hard: Danny Ward profile that's his profile.}

1.) 12 Jul 2018 19:14:46
Thank you, really appreciate your views on the game.

And sorry! Hope you have a good evening.

{Ed001's Note - no worries mate. Glad to help.}

2.) 12 Jul 2018 19:58:30
I agree with the above profile. He seems by far the best of the 3 to me. He should start playing 90 minutes.

3.) 12 Jul 2018 20:15:08
His weak point is catching corners and coming for crosses apparently, hope this isn't true or we have too flimsy keepers . We just can't afford too mess round with this position it's so crucial too get the quality we have the dough so let's go all out .

4.) 12 Jul 2018 21:07:57
Ward could absolutely be the answer to the GK conundrum. He’s class. Will Klopp give him his chance though? I’d have Ward over any of the mediocrity being touted about any day.

Hey eds.

First of all, love the site and the job you guys are doing. It's top class!

I recall one of you saying that Coutinho had told some national team mates, that he would leave Liverpool in the summer, if Liverpool couldn't offer him Champions League football after the summer. Since that's the case, do you expect Coutinho to leave this summer if he has the option to play Champions League football elsewhere?

I've tried to search for the answer for my question, but couldn't find one.

Thanks in advance

ACfromDK.

{Ed091's Note - I think the interest from Barca has gone from what i remember. Wouldnt be a surprise neither, as since neymar opened his mouth, coutinho has been very poor for every 8 out of 10 games }

1.) 23 May 2016 01:28:53
Coutinho needs to reinvent his game about how he approaches situations outside the box. Other AM's would first look to provide a killer pass before taking an attempt, even the likes of Neymar, Messi etc with all their talent at striking a ball, they first look to play open the defence and work the ball into dangerous positions within the box. Then if you have dangerous and willing runners to stretch or keep defenders occupied within that area in front of their box, then the mixture become lethal.

2.) 23 May 2016 02:24:37
I think Ed002 said that Barcelona looked at Coutinho again (in the Villareal game) so there is at least some interest from them in him. I think Coutinho has improved at LFC every season, and this was his best season yet, but there is of course plenty of room to improve, and I think he has the ability to keep improving, and with Klopp in charge, I think he can go up a level, and be LFC's main man next season.

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona's interest will depend on one or two departures.}

3.) 23 May 2016 03:48:07
one of them possibly being neymar, although arda turan is already facing the exit door, and no I don't expect Liverpool to sign him.

{Ed002's Note - Specifically Arda and Halilovic.}

4.) 23 May 2016 11:38:24
ive read on here fans moaning about couthino not scoring enough goals, and now in an above post he is getting stick for shooting too much, he can't win at this club because if he passes the ball to the strikers instead of shooting and trying to score he will get stick for not trying to score and now its he should pass instead of shooting so which is it, and i don't believe that messi would pass it to a team mate in fact I've seen players for Barcelona in great scoring positions in the box with only the goalie to beat just for the player to pass the ball out to messi, let's get it straight the Barcelona players have to pass to messi that's why he has scored so many goals because he gets set up so much by other players and sont get me wrong i'm not saying its wrong for it to happen because messi is the worlds best player and scores for fun but to say he would pass the ball to a team mate instead of scoring himself is wrong.

5.) 23 May 2016 11:40:58
Coutinho has broken himself because we as a team are crap.

Remeber when he used to have a simpler game when we had sturridge and suarez, gerrard and sterling? He didn't have to be the star. His role was to be creative yet economical in his play and he was great. Now, he recognises he has ended up as the best player in the team, not because he has improved, but because our team has got worse. He has had to resort to trying too hard and shooting from range because he no longer has good players around him, he no longer fulfils his role.

Thanks for the reply ed001. Love the job you are doing. Its much appreciated!

ACfromDK

{Ed001's Note - you are welcome mate, nice to meet you, I haven't seen your name before. Though I am not good with names so you could have been around for ages and I just not noticed!}

Hey eds. Not transfer related. But do you know if the Liverpool players from the England squad will participate in the first preseason game against Brøndby? If not, when are you assuming they will join the rest of the squad?

I really hope they will travel along to Denmark!

Thanks in advance

ACfromDK

{Ed001's Note - highly unlikely any of the World Cup players will be taking part in that game mate. They get given time off and so will be coming back into preseason training in drips and drabs after.}

03 Jun 2014 12:23:37
Do you think Harry Wilson will get game time on the first team in preseason and maybe in the league cup next season?

Hi ed002,

Do you know if we are close to Bayerns valuation of him albeit the premium price?

And are we still talking to them to see if a compromise can be reached?

Thank you in advance and thank you for the great job you are doing!

ACfromDK

{Ed002's Note - A compromise may well be possible - much will depend on offers from elsewhere.}

Ed002, sorry to ask, but you say that you are not aware of Liverpool having agreed a deal with Nice or Mönchengladbach. Do you know if Liverpool are talking/ negotiation with their respective clubs regarding Thuram and Koné?

I’ve only seen you say we have an interest, but not that we have taking that interest any further.

ACfromDK

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool asked Nice about the availability of Thurman.}

Who was Liverpools preferred choice? Gvardiol? Maybe I missed something you already told us Ed002. Sorry if I’m just blind and cannot find it.

ACfromDK

{Ed002's Note - Inacio would be the option for a high end CB addition. Gvardiol is not an option.}

Ed002, on March 25th you said no clubs had declared an interest in Lindstrøm. Have we declared an interest in him in the last week?

And sorry for the stupid question. If we have a declared interest now, does it mean we are highly likely to place a bid for him or have we already discussed something with Frankfurt?

Thanks in advance!

ACfromDK

{Ed002's Note - Jesper Lindstrom (AM/LW/RW) Eintracht Frankfurt have said that they are aware of scouts from many sides have watched the player this season. These sides include Liverpool, Brentford and Spurs. Arsenal have spoken with his agent after spotting him whilst scouting another player. Spurs can now be discounted. Arsenal and Liverpool have asked Eintracht Frankfurt for talks. Even with a bloated squad, EF want to keep the player given they know they will be losing key players this summer.}

Ed001, do you know if Jayden Danns and Lewis Koumas are highly regarded as well? They have been training with the first team a couple of times the last weeks. What do you think about those two, do you think they can make it at the club?

And Ed001, if you have the time, who do you think has the best chances to make it at Liverpool in the future of the current youth team players? (Except the ones who have already made their debuts)

Thanks in advance! Really appreciate your insights and opinions!

ACfromDK

{Ed001's Note - when they are given a chance to train with the first team, it is as a reward for doing well. Koumas has been highly rated for a long time. I am not convinced either will make it with us, but it is very difficult to do that. I do think they will go on to have solid professional careers, but I just don't see that happening with Liverpool. Until they get a regular run of games in the adult game, it is impossible to be sure though. Some times young players just take a huge leap forward when given a chance.

Morrison and Kone-Doherty look the best bet to make it. You have to remember that at these ages players can still make huge improvements to their game and all-round technique. It is rare, but not unheard of for the ones who look miles off it to come back for a new season like a different person.}

Forgive me for my ignorance ed001, but can you elaborate on why it is easier when he turns 17?
I know he will sign a professional contract, but how does that make it easier?

AC from DK.

ACfromDK

{Ed001's Note - because he will be a professional footballer and under no obligation to go to school.}
