We now need to move on. Let's face it that this window has been very positive for the club. We sign VVD and also bank 140mil.

Although we have lost a very good player we have strengthened in the area we need it most. We also have a very good midfielder arriving in the summer and we will be stronger again.

It is all positive and we continue to move in the right direction. Hopefully we will have a good run in the CL and FA cup and stay within the top 4. If this happens it will turn out to be a very successful season.

Next season VVD will be settled, keita will be a breath of fresh air in the middle of the park and a couple of decent additions (GK and Couts replacement) to further strengthen will see us compete for the league.

Onwards and upwards, it's all positive!

I haven’t written off this transfer window or this season yet, it appears you have?

Not at all I just like to see the positives. The only negative I mention is that we stay in the top 4. Are you thinking we can go on and win the league this season.

It would be nice but very doubtful.

More that we can still finish 2nd, as opposed to skipping out of the top 4 which would be a disaster. I would still like to think we are in with a chance of the CL and the FA Cul, although the former may depend on finding a creative non-cup-tied replacement for Couts.

I’m with you on the optimism for next season tho, especially if we can win a trophy this season and give players no reason not to join us.

Ed002 that quote is fantastic, really made me laugh 'he squats to piss'

Priceless!

Great response ed001 and I think you are on to something. Using a wall for touch and technique. Maybe if they used the wall it would teach to play with your head up scanning around and spotting the best pass because they have the confidence and awareness of the ball at their feet.

May be old school but at the younger ages could prove useful as they grow and develop.

{Ed001's Note - there are lots of things they do, but mostly it comes down to not telling a kid off for making mistakes. Let them make mistakes and they will learn for themselves that it doesn't work and try something else. It is about giving them confidence to try new things.}

I know, let's all post the same nonsense over and over again about transfer fees.

Jeez, you all need to heed the advice of the eds and leave any monetary talk alone.

All talk of fees just lines the pockets of the tabloids and idiots like sky. They use it to generate custom because any mention of money and like fools we all read it.

You are ruining a really good forum with the same old boring rubbish.

His only successful season came when he was playing alongside Suarez, and let's face it when Suarez was with us he was arguably the best forward in the world. I could have scored 20+ goals that season with defenders worrying about what he was doing and leaving others open.

It's a real shame how his injuries have crippled his career, but he has not really cut it at LFC and it's time to move him on.
