Ed’s what’s your take on the bayern game I’ve watched them a lot this season an they look all over the show especially in central areas .

Adamredbelfast

{Ed001's Note - they are not what they were and are very beatable. They are struggling all over the pitch, except up front, where Lewandowski is scoring goals still.}

1.) 11 Feb 2019 19:22:24
Ed01, I have watched Bayern a few times this season and good grief, thay are average. yes Lewa scores his goals BUT he has lost a step and age is starting to catch up with him. Muller still does a good job of being a good foil for him (even tho he now plays on the right with Goretzka behind Lewa) BUT Muller won't play in both legs and that could leave him isolated if we can cut off the supply line to him.

2.) 11 Feb 2019 19:23:27
Very vulnerable at the back, I expect us to really go at them and use it to our advantage.

3.) 11 Feb 2019 19:43:24
The only place I see them causing us problems is down there left we’re Alba and Coman double up quite well together.

4.) 11 Feb 2019 21:25:17
I haven’t seen much of them this season but haven’t they picked up results wise recently?

5.) 11 Feb 2019 22:45:15
Great practice game to warm up for united, would have worried about them in years gone by but they're approaching transition and we're about to hit full tilt so really fancy us to navigate passed them, great time to play them.

6.) 12 Feb 2019 00:11:05
Missing vvd so will lovern be back?

7.) 12 Feb 2019 01:43:28
Alaba + Coman vs Salah + A. Arnold
No problem we got this!

8.) 12 Feb 2019 01:57:40
I hope Klopp doesn't underestimate them as much as you lot are!

Although, and I've said before, I would happily drop out of the CL if it meant concentrating on and winning the league.

Admittedly, both would be nice, but maybe next year.

9.) 12 Feb 2019 02:37:22
Sounds like a walk in the park from what everyone is posting. Maybe play our second string side against them?
Seriously though, they are experienced and well drilled and have exceptional talent regardless of age. They are certainly beatable but also very capable of knocking us out. I expect a hard-fought battle and fingers crossed we can come out ontop.

10.) 12 Feb 2019 07:57:47
Real Madrid have been a joke in La Liga for a while and still managed to win the champs league 3 years running. DO NOT UNDER ESTIMATE BAYERN!

Neuer, Sule, Alaba, Kimmich, Goretzka, Coman,
Lewandowski - that is some serious quality.

11.) 12 Feb 2019 12:35:21
Coman massively overrated in my opinion. Every time I’ve watched him the game passes him by. When he does get involved I haven’t seen a great deal of quality.

12.) 12 Feb 2019 12:55:58
I'm worried about our back line in the first match. I'm guessing Fab will partner with Matip?

13.) 12 Feb 2019 14:29:10
Lucky we have a manager who knows how to beat them then! 💪🏼.

14.) 12 Feb 2019 17:49:33
Do not underestimate Bayern. They're a club with history, pedigree and a tradition of winning titles and trophies. Do not underestimate Germans. Our Mr. Klopp is German. 😉.

15.) 12 Feb 2019 19:15:03
Err, no one is underestimating Bayern. We are just stating facts about their season so far and how average and inconsistent they have been. That does not mean they should be underestimated nor does it mean it will be a cake walk or a walk in the park. Multiple things can be correct at the same time.

Like I said a few days ago the Man U game is key city will be expecting Us to drop points there get the win and it will give us a huge lift an make city just think abit more about if they drop points . Beating bmouth won’t have registered with beat Utd an give them something to think about.

Adamredbelfast

1.) 11 Feb 2019 19:08:57
Adam, we don't have to win that game at all costs cos that is how you can lose it. Utd will be tough and remember, they would LOVE to beat us and dent our title chances. We go in trying to win the game BUT if you cannot win, you dare NOT lose. City don't care what we do and we should not approach games with "what would City think" in mind. That's not how footie works esp. with players at the highest level. Klopp will do all he can to win the game cos with a win, City have burned one trump card BUT as we have seen, you don't always get what you want so sometimes, you're going to have to take what's there and live to fight another day.

{Ed025's Note - i totally agree redwolf, a loss to united would only make it a level playing field and not the end of the campaign, anything more and liverpool still hold all the aces..

06 Feb 2019 22:49:32
13 more wins boys, no need to panic. we’ll beat bournemouth on Saturday the Utd game is the key for me, win that and the confidence will come storming back. city know that’s our toughest game left. yes we’ve still spurs, Chelsea and Everton to play, but win that Utd game and it’ll put the pressure right on city.

Adamredbelfast

1.) 07 Feb 2019 00:06:49
Or 12 wins and a draw 👍.

2.) 07 Feb 2019 00:08:20
We said we'd beat Leicester and West ham.

3.) 07 Feb 2019 03:02:41
DeanW, I believe that wasn't about stating facts, but more on expressing confidence. Nothing is wrong with that IMO.

4.) 07 Feb 2019 06:07:45
When you put it that way, 12 wins and a draw seems really doable.

5.) 07 Feb 2019 08:20:45
Do able, but Everton and united away and Chelsea and spurs to play is tough.

6.) 07 Feb 2019 09:43:49
I honestly can't see City dropping many more points now, they have lost 4 times already this season and don't expect them to loose a 5th. Chelsea on Sunday is huge for them and us. We have Spurs and Chelsea at home, Chelsea look to have found a missing piece in Higuan and Spurs will have Kane and Ali back. United away for both us and City, they are flying under OGS and can see them taking points from us and Everton away is always tough no matter how poor the form is. Realistically we need to win all the home games and at worst win the rest of the away games and get nothing worse than a draw at United as I think City will win every game aside from United, which could well be a cracker of a draw, it sounds easy if you say it quickly but it is doable. But no more slip ups because if after the United game we are level with City with same games played they have the easier run in and a better goal difference.

7.) 07 Feb 2019 09:59:12
DeanW, and many thought City would go undefeated YET here we are. You see how that type of rhetoric can go both ways? Support the team, man.

8.) 07 Feb 2019 10:30:17
City will drop points spurs will drop points we will drop points but were in the driving seat people rubbishing themselves cause we drew 2 games were having a amazing season level on points with a game in hand we take care of our own business the 2 draws might be a blessing in disguise make the players work that bit harder in the run in .

9.) 07 Feb 2019 10:47:41
DeanW, people also thought City will beat Newcastle. Come on man, support till the end. We will see where we are.

10.) 07 Feb 2019 12:26:31
I don't think city will win every one of their games. I think we can afford another loss and a draw and that's if city go on a amazing run almost winnig all their games. I think we can drop about 7 points in the remaining matches and still win the league. That still means we have to win 10 matches draw 2 and lose 1 which will be tough.

11.) 07 Feb 2019 13:02:11
I think people are forgetting injuries and also the other competitions we are both playing in. I also think some of the games we have yet to play such as saints away is going to be one of the tougher games due to when it falls after spurs game and just before champs league (should we beat Munich) . Burnley at home another tough one with how they seem to have rediscovered who they were last season.
Also, depending on how the relegation battle develops we have Newcastle away and although rafa would love to see us win the league I feel he holds more loyalty to surving with his current employers. Added on top of the already mentioned fixtures of utd and Everton away and spurs and Chelsea at home who are competing for top four it is a very difficult run in especially comparing our playing squad to that of city who could rest kdb and cash sterling and jesus, all came on and made a big difference against everton. We are scratching around looking for solutions with chamberlain, gomez, TAA, Henderson and gini not to mention second/ third choice cb lovren. Heaven knows what we will do should robbo or big virg get injured. I just think, as klopp says, we need to enjoy the fact we are competing, yes it would be fantastic to win but look who we are up against, let's enjoy it and support the lads regardless. Keita was a god before he even played for us with the expectation and now is the time he needs our full support to come through. Let's take the pressure off the boys and push them them with support, not criticism after a poor performance or result.

12.) 07 Feb 2019 18:22:32
Kimuraking. th, did you see City losing to Newcastle? If the answer is no then your argument that they won't drop any more points falls flat, man. Also, we've heard all that before. "City would never drop points". Earlier in the season, many thought they would go undefeated and then they lost 4 games and that went out the window.

Fact is no one knows what will happen so those saying they can't see where City will drop points should calm down with all that. Also based on the Everton game, they will drop points cos they looked tired, jaded, disjointed and nervous. Oh n btw, we will see how they fair vs Chelsea w/ o Fernandinho who is the glue that holds that team together. In fact, they have lost when he played and have lost more games when he has not played. We shall see.

Kman we’ve a lot of players to move on mate I’m not saying we’ll get all these players in but we’ve got
Clyne 12 mill
Matip 10 mill
Mignolet 10 mill
Grujic 15 mill
Wilson 15 mill
Origi 15 mill
Kent 8 mill
Ings 20 mill guaranteed
Lallana 10 mill
Ojo 5 mill
Moreno wages freed up
Danny s wages freed up

120 mil plus wages freed up I know there not exact figures
And you have to take in agents fees an all the rest but we can recoup a decent figure this summer to sign 3-4 quality players who they are and what they cost who knows .

Why would one of Mané Bobby or salah need to leave
For Timo to come yes he’ll want to play as much as he can but he doesn’t start every game for Leipzig often gets took off before poulsen we’ve seen Shaqiri get starts this season an would mean we can rotate more Keita and Fabinho both came they don’t start every game.

No, I think city will draw 2 games and win the rest so we need 95 as city will have a better goal difference than us.
So space for 2 defeats and ten wins I reckon but it’s football, anything can happen mate just reckon 92 is a few points shy of what we’ll need.
