Ed002, i read arabnews last night where they mentioned a British financier Amanda Staveley negotiating a possible takeover of lfc and spurs in Saudi Arabia. Any info on this Ed002?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware that she is looking to broker a deal to sell Liverpool again, but the price given for Spurs is likely too high to attract a buyer. Newcastle and Southampton are other potential offerings - Southampton having second thoughts over the deal with Lander as they have been advised the value is higher than that agreed.}

Ed002, #WonderDogSparky on Twitter with irony that lfc have agree fee with leipzig and Keita will travel to England today, his irony is deep. Do you ask him about it Ed002? and please break it down for lay man.

{Ed002's Note - I think you should read all three tweets.}

1.) 14 Jul 2017 17:11:56
You on twitter ed?

{Ed002's Note - I am not - you need the giver of truth.}

2.) 14 Jul 2017 19:02:01
Ed2 is wds.
Macca says yes, ed2 says no.

People raving about TAA potential and scouse, and yes he is good. But my preferential scouse has been Flanagan ever since he comes to light at lfc. He has great character and attitude, fantastic positioning and awareness with good passing range, a tough man now! I will have him to provide cover to a new left back instead of Milner. Just my opinion though.

1.) 12 Jul 2017 23:29:47
Both of them are good lads, but TAA has more potential in my opinion, but each to their own of course.

2.) 12 Jul 2017 23:38:24
Can't agree Alhassan. I've loved flanno's passion but often thought he jumped in too eagerly and was exposed by pacey tricky wingers. TAA also has age on his side. Like other posters have said, if flanno was going to make it, he wouldn't have sat on the bench when out on loan.

3.) 13 Jul 2017 00:20:23
Flano's main attribute is defending. Which should be the main focus of a fullback in my opinion. Klopp prefers fullbacks with quality going forward so I don't think John will be in his plans. It's a shame as the lad has the rare quality to get the crowd going when we're on the back foot. The perfectly timed crunching tackle. We've missed that since Carra and even Gerrard would throw a few in every now and then. A scouser who'll put his body on the line for 90 minutes. I miss Carragher. Not the tosser on sky sports but the big fella screaming at his teammates and battling Drogba and coming out on top. Could Flano be our new Carra. A few seasons ago I was optimistic, now I'm not so sure.

4.) 13 Jul 2017 02:31:41
The little bit I saw Flano play last year, he looked tentative and slow. Played very safe with a lot of sideways or backwards passing. I loved him before he got injured but I think too many people are judging him by what he was like pre-injury. Having said that I didn't see last nights match so is anyone able to provide a review on his performance?

5.) 13 Jul 2017 03:42:58
Scootinio I completely agree with you but unfortunately tackling like that is bearly none existing in football nowadays and refs are too strict on it also.

I myself am a HUGE fan of those CRUNCHING challenges as it has always shown true passion. Specially because it was always more common on games vs United which made them much more exciting

Maybe flano could be turned into a CB? Probably not as he can’t really jump and isn’t tall enough.
It is a shame, 10+ years ago he would have been perfect for the game : (.

6.) 13 Jul 2017 00:37:16
Burkeyboy, i believe player like Flanagan learns even sitting on bench because of what you admit 'passion' and of course zeal. His awareness and positioning sense will help him deal with pacey and trickish players as he is of age now as you mentioned. Like i said, i will prefer him to cover a new left back instead of Milner.

7.) 13 Jul 2017 12:11:56
The same Flanagan that struggled to get a game last season at a club he should be holding the position when fit. He's just not Champions League quality which is what we should be aiming for. TAA could be.

In fact, Majority in here appreciates what our honorable eds and Macca are doing. Macca come by genuine lfc info only. Ed002 with vast football knowledge and it's business although favor cfc than lfc. Ed001 our own lfc. Shout out to all the eds. There may some times be disagreement with members here but not belittling and bad mouthing, i think the severe criticism come from new duck heads just join.
Never mind, keep the good and great work eds, your efforts makes this site credible and accurate.
We hope there is due a good package from Macca within the week.
Eds and Macca 👌.

1.) 11 Jul 2017 11:02:19
Yep agree, let's keep the duck heads on this site to an absolute minimum!

2.) 11 Jul 2017 11:42:37
Maybe make the thumbs down option a little bigger with a pulsing glowing finish so they're drawn to it instead of spitting bile.

3.) 11 Jul 2017 12:01:22
Or another option,

have a 3rd hand signal (W. r)

Ed002, i still want to be satisfy with fsg stand when it comes to lfc. You had mentioned that lfc is just an item in fsg investment portfolio. Means they have less or no time in vetting the people who they trusted to run the club in daily dealings? And don't you think it can be one of the reason lfc is in repetitive embarrassment and failure. And if i am right, it was mooted here that fsg will sell up at some point, when the everbright interest crop up, if that really the intention, how serious do they have on field success at lfc as it is apparent that lfc has grown as a brand with less debts in their 7yrs ownership?
To your opinion, what suggestion will make to stop this fiasco and to make lfc effective on and off the field?

{Ed002's Note - They are an investment business and LFC is an investment. They will make the efforts to see it is properly run and the value increases - it is good business to do that. Right now the GBP is worth zip so it is not a good time to sell - it is a good time to buy. There will always be interest or the option of institutional ownership through floatation in the Far East.}

1.) 09 Jul 2017 07:19:47
I believe the only way Liverpool will stop being made fools of is to appoint a proper and experienced Director of Football. Gerard Houllier?

That way only one person makes the footballing decisions from top to bottom.

At this point, probably even the cleaning lady is sitting in player negotiations. That is how badly the club is being run on the footballing front.

FSG have a very good financial brain and have grown Liverpool to become a financial powerhouse in a very short space of time but know bugger all about football so it is high time they bring somebody in who can lead the club instead of leaving leadership to more than one person.

Too many cooks have spoiled the broth.

May be it's #GraemeKelly Ed002 is referring to on Twitter. To #clfc, don't worry cfc, mcfc, munited will go bankrupt before lfc, because they have been spending loads on fees and wages since the last decades.

{Ed002's Note - That wasn't it. He has an invisible friend Hanz something or other.}

If my memory is right, no one abuse Macca here. Every one appreciate his up dates, may be he is upset of the club peddling all wrong in the transfer window.

Tell me that the papers saying 'lfc falsifying documents and tapping up a kid, leaving him and his parents in debts and unattached' is not true?

Again Thank you Ed002 for the details. Bringing Rodgers era reminds me, why was Rodgers back room staff got sacked the following season leaving him then?
And can't they get more closer like Roman at cfc instead of relying on people reporting on field failure and wasting of monies on transfers to them every season?

{Ed002's Note - It is a very different situation. Liverpool football club is simply an item in FSG's investment portfolio.}

Ok Ed002 if there is no restrictions or policy in place since they take over the club, why lfc can't most a times get their first choice targets?
If the issues of tapping up and public apology exist before Klopp what has fsg done to stop it in their 7yrs at lfc?
They don't handle transfer or pick players, but those they hire to handle transfers and pick players do report back to them? I believe they are not happy with what they are seeing with regards to on field success at lfc during their 7yrs at the club.
Thanks Ed002.

{Ed002's Note - (a) Not being able to sign first choice players always is not a matter of policy or restriction. It is simply the business of football - sometimes they don't want to move to Liverpool (e.g. Brandt), sometimes their club don't want to do business with Liverpool (e.g. Sessegnon), sometimes they are not available for sale (e.g. Keita), sometimes Liverpool go about it all wrong (e.g van Dijk) and sometimes there are other clubs who are also interested (e.g. Mendy). It is sure as hell not the fault of the owners. (b) FSG have made significant efforts to resolve various issues it had with discipline, communications etc.. Liverpool has suffered with very poor media communication over several years. The whole Runt situation was mismanaged, Sterling made a joke of himself and the club, Balotelli was always going to be an accident waiting to happen and Rodgers has put his foot in his mouth every time he has opened it. Added to that there was the complete disaster of FSG's choice of Jen Chang. I should not say this but within factions of the press, the current incumbent, Susan Black is seen as way out her depth. (c) No, staff dealing with scouting, transfer decisions, negotiations do not report to FSG. (d) No, they are not happy with the repeated failure given the significant amounts of monies invested. They are not happy with the image of the club as portayed in the media and on public forums and this has seen the club clutching at straws and cdreating this fans forum (or whatever it is called) recently.}

Thanks for your reply Ed002. Hopefully they are doing the right thing by spoiling the club name chasing players of the positions that are choked in the lfc squad.
