Good afternoon Eds,
Had it suggested that Yunus Malli was being watched on the 02/ 12 by LFC scouts, can you advise as to whether this is, infact, accurate and / or if there is an interest in him?

I thank you for your time as always

Regards
A-P.

AlphaPapa

{Ed002's Note - Mainz had no interest in selling Yunus Malli last January but were aware that Bayern Munich, Spurs, Borussia Dortmund and Galatasaray have all looked at the player. For the summer, Malli is the sort of player who I thought Klopp may have Liverpool scouts look at, particularly given that he knows the player well - but he has not done so. An ex-German international tells me he is getting better and better and would suit the English game. He is also the sort of player that a club like Arsenal may look to if they are planning Central or Attacking Midfield changes but it is Spurs who have continued to show interest in the player in to the new season with Southampton also having scouts attend matches.}

Superb stuff, hugely appreciate the response, your time is appreciated. Thank you.

2.) 15 Dec 2016 11:40:10
If Southampton have scouted him then we should buy him now instead of a year later for double money.

Good evening all,

Eds mentioned Amavi previously and said " there have been discussions" is this referring to :
A) LFC have discussed him being a target
B) LFC have spoken to his reps
C) LFC have spoke To AVFC re his availability

I apologise if i have missed something with your previous post, or indeed i have misinterpreted it, but you response would be appreciated and gratefully received

All the best

A-P.

AlphaPapa

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have spoken to Mongai about Amavi and the player is available.}

1.) 29 Jun 2016 19:49:32
Ah, thank you for your response Ed.

2.) 29 Jun 2016 20:30:33
Ed2 is that his agent?

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

3.) 30 Jun 2016 00:08:17
I'm confused by our left back situation at the moment - are we really trying to replace Moreno with someone who hasn't played a single game in the PL (Chilwell) or with someone who played 10 games in possibly the worst PL team ever (Amavi) .

This isn't a dig at the players mentioned but surely we need experience in that position now.

4.) 30 Jun 2016 07:28:36
John, don't think we are looking to replace Moreno this season mate.

Hi all,

Suggestions from some Italian media that an agreement has been found between Udinese and LFC for Zielinski. Ed's are you aware of any developments?

Thanks as always

A-P.

AlphaPapa

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any change in what has been previously said.}

1.) 22 Jun 2016 17:50:55
I somewhat suspected as much. Really appreciate the response. Thank you.

Hi Ed's,

Portion of French media suggesting Benjamin Mendy is delaying a move to Monaco to await Liverpool and West Ham following up interest. Do/ did LFC hold an interest at all?

Thanks as always

A-P.

AlphaPapa

{Ed002's Note - Marseille's Benjamin Mendy has been subject to an accepted bid from Monaco with interest of Roma put aside during negotiations. Marseille are keen to close out the transfer with Monaco and expect that to happen next week. The West Ham interest is in Nice's defensive midfield player Nampalys Mendy who is subject to an offer from Leicester that should go through. Liverpool does not feature in any of this.}

1.) 17 Jun 2016 14:35:48
Appreciate the response Ed, Thank you. Have a great weekend.

Afternoon Eds,

Croatian press are today linking us with Ante Coric of Dinamo Zagreb. Is there any interest from LFC that you are aware?

Appreciate your time as always

All the best

A-P.

AlphaPapa

{Ed002's Note - Ante Coric (of Dinamo Zagreb) is destined for an excellent career if he doesn't move too early - but Chelsea, Real Madrid, Spurs and Manchester City are very keen.}

1.) 23 May 2016 15:09:33
Really appreciate your reply.

Thank you, have a good day.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

Hello again,

One final question for today if i may, not transfer related but curious as to whether Luis Alberto will have the pre-season to stake a claim in the squad this year or if the club has already decided he is surplus?

Again, thanks for your time

A-P.

AlphaPapa

{Ed002's Note - He is a loan player who will return in the summer. If he stays space will need to be made.}

1.) 09 May 2016 13:19:57
He is excess to requirements and will be leaving.

09 May 2016 11:50:34
Morning Eds,

Is there any interest in Amavi of Villa? Given the need of reinforcement in that position, i would have thought that given the stage of Amavi's career and development he would be a decent option to consider.

Your thoughts, as always, are very much appreciated.

All the best

Evening Eds,

Instagram has an update from Yarmolenko's agent with a pic taken at Melwood ( of nothing specific ) with the following hashtags: #Meeting #TransferWindow #FcLiverpool

Are you aware of interest in Yarmolenko or indeed any other player (s) Yarmolenko's agent represents?

Apologies for the long winded question, grafeful for any reply.

All the Best

Been told by a wise old red that Ibe will be benched this coming Monday and Firmino will be starting. Could well be pure speculation, however he did speak in a "matter of fact" manner. Nothing too exciting but thought i would pop it on here as i rarely post at all.

Have a great evening all!

AlphaPapa

1.) 13 Aug 2015 06:36:55
I think it would be disappointing to drop Ibe so soon. He will get chances of course, but at home against Burnley, it could be an ideal platform for the young man to show what he is all about.

What did Lallana do that he is kept over Ibe for Firmino?

2.) 13 Aug 2015 07:48:55
We need to protect Ibe and not thrash him too much too soon.
He's got a long career ahead of him.

3.) 13 Aug 2015 08:58:06
The real ag, we have Bournemouth Monday not Burnley!

4.) 13 Aug 2015 09:16:11
The problem is Milner again. With him in the midfield you will have to drop Ibe and Milner wouldn't offer as much as Ibe for the team in general. Ibe will provide width and I wwould love pace on either flanks with Firmino and Ibe constantly taking on full backs with Our Full backs overlapping. Countinho would get acres of spaces in the middle to penetrate.
Milner will force one major player on to bench and unfortunately its Ibe.

5.) 13 Aug 2015 09:16:55
Burnley at home in the league? You're living in the past. A true red lol

I can say that as I'm one too :)

6.) 13 Aug 2015 10:11:09
If it is one in one out then surely it should be Lallana dropped as for me IBE was among our best performers. I don't believe IBE needs to be rested Ron when he hasn't played in over a week. Hopefully we will see can start in a 433 or a diamond as we were much more effective when he came on and players should ultimately be picked on performance.

7.) 13 Aug 2015 10:37:13
" Milner wouldn't offer as much as Ibe for the team in general."
Another beauty, lol. Can't agree with that.

8.) 13 Aug 2015 11:14:57
As I said a few weeks back I think it best at the moment yo have ibe on the bench as with 10 men behind the ball he struggles. Nothing against him he will learn to be more clever in tighter games over time. But the double upside is if you bring on ibe after an hour or so against tired legs he could have a field day doing what he does best with his direct attacking play. Realistically if he does start games he will most likely be taken off first just seems to be the thing to do with young players so I would rather him get 30-40 minutes making a proper impact than 60 odd minutes struggling to really get into the game.
Give him bit of time pick and choose his games carefully get him a few goals/assists off the bench. Personally this is how I would handle it anyway

9.) 13 Aug 2015 11:47:07
Apologies. My bad folks, we have Bournemouth on Monday.

10.) 13 Aug 2015 12:02:53
Ron

Care to explain what would Milner provide and Ibe wouldn't if your system wants natural width?
Over the next 5 games you would slowly understand Milner ain't doing anything significant other than pressing.
Apart from being called a hard worker, hasn't don't a lot at city. couldn't replace Yaya when he was hopeless in that midfield. Always a Substitude through out.

The best bet of our midfield trio should be Lucas/Can-Hendo/Milner-Countinho/Lallana, with two natural wide players wither side of a striker.

11.) 13 Aug 2015 16:00:13
There are a grand total of maybe 5 players in world football that could replace Yaya Toure. Don't get me wrong, I think Can should play almost every game in defensive midfield but Milner is a great player. Ibe shouldn't automatically start and there will be games he comes off the bench to change games. I actually like the thought of Milner on the right for certain games as we will need his defensive qualities to lock down good wide midfielders. Our best bet is the central 3 who finished the game at Stoke with Benteke, Ibe and Firmino from the start. Lallana I definitely rate but was just ok against Stoke. With the depth we have, you play who is in form.

12.) 13 Aug 2015 16:54:44
Amerigo

Ibe ll never reach his potential if he isn't given a full 90mts. He is ready for it and I can't see him due other players.

13.) 14 Aug 2015 04:38:13
Yaya, Silva, Aguero, are great players. Milner couldn't get a game ahead of any of these if he played in their positions so again Americo, how is he a great player? Only to the deluded is a back up player a great player just because said player plays for the deluded's club. Milner was never needed especially on the crazy wages who offers next to nothing in terms of skill, quality and goals. So Americo, how's Milner a great player?

No we haven't, he is with the U23's for tonights game against MK Dons. Also, Juanma (Triallist following release from Barcelona) has been impressing and may well earn a deal. Whether he will threaten the first 11 remains to be seen of course.

Sam Hart is another very decent left back, reminds of a Steve Finnan type, but left sided of course.
