Daily Mirror now reporting Barcelona want Mane in January and not Coutinho, with Juventus and Real Madrid also interested. Let's hope it's paper trash.

Argy

1.) 17 Sep 2017 06:23:08
Mate don't let 'rumours' flood your head, it's only September and your worrying what the daily mail are reporting about for January!

2.) 17 Sep 2017 06:45:13
Haha, good point!

3.) 17 Sep 2017 07:23:51
Why would it surprise us that teams may be interested in one of the best players in the premier league?

4.) 17 Sep 2017 09:51:39
Well we are not progressing so players like mane will be looking to leave at some pointin the next couple of years.

5.) 17 Sep 2017 11:59:16
I wouldn't be too worried given his contract doesn't expire until the end of June 2021. He is (reportedly) more than happy with life at LFC. plus Josep Maria Bartomeu is probably trying his best to placate the shareholding fans who saw the loss of Neymar and a failure to sign PC from us.

6.) 17 Sep 2017 12:59:08
Papers need to sell papers! How the hell do they know Barcelona transfer targets in Sept?

7.) 17 Sep 2017 13:03:40
Why talk bout mane when you can't even afford couts?

8.) 17 Sep 2017 18:45:49
Good point Mane will cost anyone a fortune.

9.) 17 Sep 2017 19:29:35
Sell Coutinho and Mane, buy Southampton, sorted ;)

10.) 17 Sep 2017 20:51:28
Good point. I think we should just buy Southampton. Would save us a fortune. Their whole back 5 would get in our team ahead of what we have got. That away kit of theirs is cracker as well.

11.) 18 Sep 2017 10:32:42
Dembele out for 4 months reading today. maybe why?

12.) 18 Sep 2017 11:13:29
Funny how the rags always come up with these Barcelona wants Liverpools best players stories!
Bet they were all gutted when we didn't lose Coutinho.
Now it's Mane, next it'll be Salah.
Joke rags!

13.) 18 Sep 2017 22:20:26
Unless we sort out the structure of the team and get the team defending there will be only one person leaving in January and it will be klopp.

14.) 18 Sep 2017 23:14:36
So much rubbish being posted recently. Not progressing? Klopp going in January? Get a grip will you. Dear god!

15.) 19 Sep 2017 02:41:21
It is sort of a compliment to have big teams interested in our players, however I do hope that there's no release clause in Mane's contract. Personally, I don't think Mane will leave us 'yet' as I'm pretty sure he had a part to play in the Keita deal and would love to play alongside him.

However, if we continue to under achieve, then there's every possibility that players will lose faith and want to seek glory elsewhere. We really need to show improvement this season and hopefully win something to convince our top players to stay put.

It is easier said than done, but first we need to sort out our defense.

16.) 19 Sep 2017 05:55:32
If we are mid table come December klopp will be under pressure. Don't want to see that and think we will be sitting just outside of top 4 but the lack of ability to set a team up to defend will inevitably result in the fans and media questioning whether klopp can take Liverpool to where they should be. Not just about buying players this is about setting up a team. I hope it starts to come together as I think he is great but the lack of improvement defensively is concerning.

17.) 19 Sep 2017 06:41:48
I would expect that before the going to be sacked stuff started, if Klopp is still saying he can't find better defenders to work his system he will be told to change the system and get in defenders that are better in a different style of play. Plus you'd think some of that pressure will come onto the scouting and coaching structure as well. They have invested a lot of money in Klopp and if they weren't happy I can't see a deal like the Keita one being sanctioned.

18.) 19 Sep 2017 08:22:06
It takes time to build a title winning team. I'm not talking about a freak season like Leicester then going back to mid table obscurity.
I'm talking about a team that can consistently challenge on all fronts year in year out. We don't have the money of city where we can just go out and throw unlimited amounts of money at it so when you make that next CB signing it has to be the one that you think will be a mainstay for years to come. Not just a stop gap that might get you through a season and appease idiotic fans that can't see past the end of their own nose.
Yes we have defensive issues and it's infuriating at times but for god's sake give him time to sort it out instead of this pathetic talk of him leaving already! We have a team that with the right couple of additions could really do something give Klopp the time to get the right men in it's not bloody football manager!

19.) 19 Sep 2017 21:25:45
Klopp won't be gone in January but, our second team does not look good at all. The way we're playing against Leicester looks nothing like how Klopp had us playing last year. The ox looks terrible.

12 Jul 2016 20:50:03
Anyone know if Hull are still interested in Brad Smith and if so is it to loan or buy outright?

Argy

1.) 12 Jul 2016 22:40:22
Unless Robertson is leaving it would be a pointless loan option as he'd not get much game time.

18 Mar 2015 13:46:02
Papadopolis on our radar again?

Argy

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool are overrun with centre backs so I wouldn't think so.}

1.) 18 Mar 2015 14:47:43
Then again if we sell Ilori and Wisdom, don't renew Toure's contract and move Can back to the midfield at the end of the season we're back to 3 for 3 spots

Interested in how Mawson performs tonight, I think he’s one for the future and would suit us.

Argy

1.) 22 Jan 2018 19:33:58
Yeah let’s hope he has a shocker 😄.

2.) 22 Jan 2018 20:45:10
Not so far Ron.

3.) 22 Jan 2018 20:46:11
Andddd he’s scored.

4.) 22 Jan 2018 20:47:49
Funny it's him that scored. Oh the irony.

5.) 22 Jan 2018 20:51:25
He’s a decent player who can only get better but some of the football ignoramuses on here wouldn’t know a footballer if they fell over one.

6.) 22 Jan 2018 21:46:39
I just knew this would happen tonight lfc can be predictable at times and new manager at Swansea was icing on cake . We could play for another 3 hrs and not hit a barn door with a dart.

7.) 22 Jan 2018 21:55:58
I would swap him for Matip any day of the week .

8.) 22 Jan 2018 22:20:06
Alfie Mawson man of the match. I rest my case.

9.) 22 Jan 2018 22:09:06
Omg have you just heard yourself.

10.) 22 Jan 2018 22:09:47
could have got a late goal, should have scored, but that loss has set us back, and its not good, Swansea had a very good game plan, and deserved to win, some, or a lot of our players were only worth a six out of ten .

11.) 22 Jan 2018 22:15:53
Is there anybody who still comes on this site, still agree that we should be keeping
CAN, he is not the quality we need and he most definitely shouldn’t be captain. a poor poor player, he has got the turning circle of a juggernaut.

12.) 22 Jan 2018 22:37:06
I’m sorry but I’m a game that any other day we could have won I wouldn’t sin the lad in it, a well taken but fluke goal doesn’t warrant signing him, with have Gomez who’s young to fill in. Frustrating game, too much time wasting, should have been 45 minutes added not 4, Salah looked a bit jaded he's plays so much would rather Solanke come on instead of bigs as he offers something different. Any other day we would have won that but day we just lacked that bit of luck (which swans got) and that bit of magic. A bit embarrassing but still spurs arsenal and even Chelsea have nothing on us, I would have included United in that but signing Sanchez is a statement. Didn’t agree with Klopp a subs tonight though, agree with Lallana coming on but for gini not AOC. Three points thrown away but a one off I feel, spurs fans will be piddling their pants but think the top four right now is how it will end jusy the order may change, good night reds disappointing result but we n to the next one.

13.) 22 Jan 2018 22:47:17
we really did lack something in midfield, and only came to life in the last ten mins, the fact is, that loss is a huge set back .

14.) 22 Jan 2018 23:17:31
We probably needed to get the obligatory shocker performance out of the way before spurs and CL. Put it to bed we're still 4th. Can is pants and is in the same pants bracket as migs, move on pls. For you Mawson lovers out there, get a grip.

15.) 22 Jan 2018 23:47:16
Mawson had a game where he was hardly tested as they stuck so many men behind the ball. Not convinced myself. As for Can, there is literally no one else in our squad who can play midfield anchor. We are shockingly weak in the middle of the park.

16.) 23 Jan 2018 00:06:02
Onwards and sideways apparently. lol

Fabianski had a great game tonight.

We had 8 days rest but looked tired in the 1st half.

Its happpened before on International breaks, we seem to lose all momentum. We need to play twice a week.

17.) 23 Jan 2018 00:29:15
Fabianski was hardly tested.

18 Nov 2017 19:46:21
One goal conceded at home in the league so far this season in the league, dodgy defence, just a confidence issue away from home, supporters criticism on social media effecting the players? Discuss.

Argy

1.) 18 Nov 2017 20:22:07
Definitely a dodgy defence. The batterings at Spurs and City support that.

2.) 18 Nov 2017 20:24:52
Our defense is dodgy, Klopp is terrible, Firmino is a terrible striker, and Salah is overrated.

3.) 18 Nov 2017 20:37:23
Most of the defence and keepers have been here for a couple of seasons at least. If it was confidence it would suggest a small window. However this has been our weakness for a number of years.

4.) 18 Nov 2017 23:51:03
is George t joking? top goal scorer over rated? stats can lie but not that one. Our defence have proved time and time again that they can keep teams out at home. confidence away? defo. Klopp is far from terrible, people purr over city but we're playing some beautiful football too. Klopp has won way more than he has lost against the top 6 sides. way more. Liverpool have had our blip and we are coming strong, I think we are slowly and quietly building up to a dramatic chace down of city. Will we make it? doubt it but anything is possible.

{Ed0333's Note - Oh I hope my friend we are “quietly building up to a dramatic chase down of City”. Can you imagine if we won the league from 12 points behind? I would perform favors for Klopp his wife refuses to.

5.) 19 Nov 2017 06:06:28
I second what Jayden said, to say it's a confidence issue is just delusional. This has been going on for many years now so it's a lot deeper than that. Get in the right defensive reinforcements and we're title challengers 100%, and that for me only means 1 or 2 players.

6.) 19 Nov 2017 11:04:17
Whilst the goals conceded is a very good start, it's not the full picture. Some games we get a clean sheet because the opponent is very wasteful. It's more than a confidence issue, it's part organisation, part confidence and part quality.

21 Sep 2017 21:48:02
A friend of mine told me he's read an article about TAA being considered as a holding midfielder in waiting, has anyone else seen this?

Argy

1.) 21 Sep 2017 22:03:10
Could you not just ask your friend where he read the article?

2.) 21 Sep 2017 22:20:31
Would be senseless seeing as the boys biggest strength is driving runs forward.

3.) 21 Sep 2017 22:33:25
😄 good point Smeg head.

4.) 22 Sep 2017 08:25:02
Or it could be a conversation starter with like minded fans on banter page?

5.) 22 Sep 2017 16:19:40
Unfortunately he's a Chelski supporter and can't remember where he's seen it :/.

04 Sep 2017 19:48:21
Amazed how much England miss Lallana when he's injured. More than we do I think!

Argy

{Ed025's Note - 2 liverpool overrated players is quite enough thank you..

1.) 04 Sep 2017 22:08:33
Ha! He's worth 10 Sigurdssons ed and about 100 Rooneys! Most Everton players aren't fit to clean his boots!

{Ed025's Note - hes not you know ings, hes ok dont get me wrong but hes a bit lightweight and drifts in and out of games, you have a good midfield anyway so he is not missed...plus him ox and wiji can keep each other company on the bench..

2.) 04 Sep 2017 22:37:13
I usually agree with you Ed025 and feel you are very fair in you're opinion. But on this occasion I don't. Lallana is technically easily England's best player able to use both feet demands the ball in tight areas. Every England supporter I know says he's been there best player by far the past year. And you can see how they struggle without him. A class player who also works so hard for the team. Just pity about injuries.

{Ed025's Note - hes not a bad player at all Z99, just a bit wimpy for me..

3.) 05 Sep 2017 07:44:26
Lallana isn’t fit enough to lace his own boots at the minute to be fair.

01 Sep 2017 17:28:12
Gomez playing as a holding midfielder for England U21s, interesting.

Argy

1.) 01 Sep 2017 18:25:30
He's got the talent and intelligence to play there.
