Mr Dennis you know that AOC and Lemar are unrelated and we are trying for both don't you.
If we sign AOC but not Lemar it will not be because we decided against it.
The lemar deal and the coutinho deal are tied, AOC is a separate issue.

Eds, what's the crack with Allan Rodrigues. Always on loan cause he can't get a work permit. How does the system work and does Klopp think much of him?

He needs to be involved in a certain percentage of international games within a certain period. Think it is something like 70% in past 2 years maybe. Eds? Shed light on the requirements? (apologies is you've covered this before, couldn't see it on the search)

Didn't see the game today. Obviously fantastic result, just wondering how the back 4 did as individuals and as a team
Thoughts .

they really didn't have much to do. Moreno keeps on playing well both forward and backtracking. Gomez is as usual strong defensively but was also good going forward got an assist. Matip Lovren did ok as i said earlier not much to do for em.

Matip and Gomez were solid. Lovren improved on recent showings. Moreno still a little suspect at times but promising signs of improving defensive awareness and tackling ability with every game ATM. Joe and Moreno got forward well. All this said Arsenal didn't really test any of them seriously.

Was at the match. Mane and Salah were a constant menace. Can, Henderson and Wijnaldum bossed midfield. Moreno had a decent game.
For those interested, Oxlade Chamberlain was utter toilet. £35'000'000 footballer? Pfft. Not even a £35.00 footballer.

Matip 9/ 10, Lovren 7-8/ 10, Gomez 7-8/ 10, Moreno 7-8/ 10. Looked decent together. Matip lent support to Gomez at crucial times, Lovren and Moreno had some 50/ 50 tackles go their way. Gomez got a card, should have had a freekick just before.
Were some moments of short passing that made me nervous, and one or two set pieces that caused panic. But overall a fine display.

The whole team had a solid outing and Karius bar twice when he backed himself too much while playing out of the back, made no mistakes, dealt with a dangerous cross with authority and kept a clean sheet. All that being said, Arsenal offered nothing the whole game and had 8 shots, none on target. As for the Ox, if anyone signs him for 35m with 180k a week in wages, needs to be put in a straight jacket and get his/ her head examined thoroughly. What a waster!

Klopp has had 4 transfer windows since he took over. Surely in this time the defence should have been fixed
Do you think he's done good or bad business in this time? IMO he's bought some quality in but nowhere near enough.
{Ed002's Note - I have already answered this but much of the problem coming from many of the mans who see Klopp as a "world class coach" and not for watt he really is, a decent coach.}

We should not ignore JK'sa very good record against top 6 sides, further managers would killed girl that, so he knows how to motivate and set-up for an open game, but equally you cannot ignore poor record against alternative opposition and finals. The latter are both different tactical tests and he seems to fall short. So all in all a likeable manager, who has done quite well but a long way short of great so far, and unlikely to do much better without a major rethink about what he wants from defenders. Good defence is about a system but it's also about individuals who tackle, cover, go in when and where it hurts, and can think for themselves. Not much sign of that at present and he has to take responsibility for it.

No worries Supered91 you make a good point having big boots to fill, nobody could replace Stevie G. I just don't see Hendo being mentally strong enough/ having the balls to kick some asses on the pitch or dressing room. I don't think we have any characters like that at present.

I don't think it's a case of "if we can get him" it's a case of does he want to come!?
No doubt he's one of the best around and I'd love to see him at lfc but it ain't going to happen.
