It's a fair point that Man City have two 20mil + players for each position on the pitch, but if more of our players consistantly put in a 90 minute shift we'd be much closer to them, two key culprits that spring to mind are Can and Coutinho - not because they're the only ones, but because when they do put in a solid shift they change games. Seems to me they avoid a lot of criticism because they manage to do just enough. I wouldn't be too gutted to see them both go in January. With Lallana coming back and Keita next summer we would only need one replacement to come in I reckon. Looking forward to the game tommorrow - C'mon the reds.

Bobbie, picking on individual players is counter productive, IMO. I know Can and Cou are currently inconsistent BUT so is Wiji, Migs, Lovren and Robbo. The issue is that inconsistency has been our hallmark for years and that predates even Klopp. This is what he is trying to change so the scape-goating needs to end cos it is becoming boring.

Agree 4 goals conceded in eight games is great but it's the other games where we conceded 5, 4 and 3 goals that has killed us. Until new blood is brought in between the posts an another two cent half's an a DM I don't see us moving forward sorry.

BRover, are you still blaming the past for our current woes? Didn’t Ed say Klop said he could win or at least challenge for the title with the side he inherited?
He’s had plenty of time and windows to change what he needed. He’s had money to buy players and he personally wrecked the VVD transfer last window.
Enough excuses for the manager, time to show us a title challenge.

I don't think grafting is the word that springs to mind for Can or Wijnaldum. I think shafting is a better description for a player that gets paid thousands of pounds a week and can only get around to giving their all for a full 90 minutes once every three or four games.

Coutinho leaving might be the best thing that can happen for Can - and Wijnaldum, unfortunately it may prove a little late for Can to stay.
