Eds, Any truth in the report from SportsDirect that Man City are going to bid £50m for Suarez?
Probably nonsense, but I'd prefer that to Arsenal {Ed002's Note - Do not be surprised to see a bid from Manchester City or other clubs. It is not out of the question that Manchester City could still see two forwards leave and two more come in this summer.}

Ed02, as you say, Coutinho's been looking for this move for the past year. So what was the thinking behind signing the new contract in January? Was he promised a move if Barcelona came in for him? It doesn't look like that was the case, but if not then signing the contract just doesn't seem to make sense?
{Ed002's Note - I am sure Liverpool would have made no such promise.}

Ed01, do you think the reason Klopp wants to play Milner at left back is because he really likes him as a player (experience, attitude, work-rate etc. ) and therefore wants him in the team. As he knows there's not a place for him in midfield, this is the only position available?
{Ed001's Note - and because he is paid too much to sit on the sidelines or offload. Klopp does like his attitude a lot, but he also was happy to replace him in midfield, so you can be sure he is not just going to be shoehorned in constantly.}

What is Millners actualy position though? He played all over for City and I think he was attacking midfield when he was with villa and new castle.
He signed for us to play as a central midfield but is good enough to play that position?
I think he'll end up being utility man this season and may leave next season.
Love his attitude and work rate though.

Brendan Rogers is a phoney, a fraud and a charlatan! He's a bullshhhh, a coward and a bare faced liar! The thought of him being at Liverpool football club next season makes me feel physically sick!!
I've been watching Liverpool for 30 years but honestly don't know if I could watch another game with him in charge!
I have genuine appreciation for the owners and what they have done, but I believe the fact that they are thousands of miles away and have little knowledge of football is allowing this farce to continue far longer than it needs to.

I'm just imagining the scene at Melwood, where Brendan Rodgers has sent Ian Ayre to Southampton to get him Lallana. and he comes back with Ricky Lambert! :-)

I noticed Henderson got his fifth booking yesterday. Does that mean he will miss the next game, or is that only in the first half of the season?
Thanks!

Ed02, if Chelsea are confident he wants to join them, why do you feel LFC have bid again? Surely they would want to avoid another embarrassing situation and just walk away?
{Ed002's Note - That is why clubs need to sell their project to the player. Newcastle have had a muber of offers accepted for players but have been unable to convince the players to join them.}

Surely LFC would have spoken to Lavia’s representatives before making this latest bid to ensure he wants Liverpool?

Ed002, can Man City even be a realistic option for him at that price with the FFP investigation hanging over them?
{Ed002's Note - Manchester City do not have any issues in buying both Bellingham and Gvardiol if they can persuade them to join over other interested sides.}

It’s fallen through!

Adrian seems like a great guy but there’s no way he’s up the standard unfortunately. Don’t forget we went our of two cup competitions in the space of a week before the break, due to his errors.

I’m sure he would have stayed at Liverpool had Klopp not made it clear his playing time would have been limited - that’s a very difficult position to be in when your club captain.

Clearly if the people operating VAR were competent then watching football would be far less frustrating. However, one thing that wouldn’t change, is that the most enjoyable part of the game for me has been spoiled - and that’s celebrating a goal. Even if they get the decision correct and a goal stands, it’s hard to enjoy it in the moment because we’re all waiting for the check before we can be sure it’s going to stand. I remember Origi scoring the goal that sealed the Champions League win and instead of going crazy knowing we’re European Champions, all I’m thinking is, is this going to stand? By the time it’s confirmed, the moment has passed. For that reason alone, I would get rid of VAR. Decisions will even out over time but at least we could celebrate goals properly again.

I enjoyed it more when the smirk was wiped off Antony Gordon’s face!

Agree 100% Ed! Surely Klopp starts with Endo from now on, in which case Gakpo starts up front in place of Jota?

Maybe just bid for the Brighton scouting team instead?
