Evening Ed, I believe Danijel Subasic may be of interest to at least one premier league club are you aware of this and do you see Liverpool being interested?

{Ed002's Note - Monaco snubbed interest in Danijel Subasic from Arsenal last summer. I am not aware of any interest in him at this time, nor any intention of him leaving Monaco.}

1.) 05 Apr 2016 05:55:27
Cheers Ed, I see more interest should he have a good tournament in the summer.

{Ed002's Note - Sure.}

30 Dec 2015 10:51:07
Morning Ed do you think Liverpool have any interest in Ricardo Rodriguez?
Would seem very much a Klopp type of full back to me and I believe we've already looked previously.

{Ed002's Note - No Chris and I sujspect he would be well beyond the means of Liverpool in January in any case. Wolfsburg's Ricardo Rodriguez previously attracted the attention of Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter, Fiorentina and Real Madrid. Real Madrid, fearful of a ban, may see Rodriguez as an alternative to Gaya and may look to move in January. Valencia are also interested.

Liverpool are looking elsewhere for a left back still and with Moreno, Smith, Enrique & Gomez (to return) it may well be something that will wait until the summer.}

1.) 30 Dec 2015 11:31:23
Yes I agree we aren't desperate in that position but he is top drawer so I suppose the cost would reflect that. Am I right in thinking we looked previously and could we have signed him or was it all paper talk.

09 Aug 2015 16:05:10
Afternoon Ed can I ask is there any truth in the Enrique to west brom rumours?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know mate, I moved apartment the other day, and yesterday was my first day back online, so I have a huge backlog of emails etc to go through to catch up on what is happening. Last I heard there was no interest from anyone, but that was a while ago now and could easily have changed.}

15 Jul 2015 20:48:07
Not Liverpool related and I hope you don't mind the question Eds but do you have any idea on the future of Breel-Donald Embolo?

{Ed002's Note - Basel's Breel Embolo is a target of Spurs, Red Bull Leipzig and West Ham with Basel aware of interest from all three clubs.}

1.) 15 Jul 2015 22:26:59
Cheers Ed

2.) 16 Jul 2015 00:31:34
I'm not sure why you even post questions like this on here Ed.
Do you just pretend to imagine that it was phrased in a Liverpool relevant way? Or do you actually enjoy the challenge of a new and complicated-sounding name? I could give you one or two if you like, but, if I'm honest, they'd probably be relevant, sorry. :(

So, what's Allan Rodriguez de Souza up to this summer?

{Ed002's Note - I am sorry but Chris has been a very good, consistent and decent contributor who asked a question I happened to know the answer to.

I am sure you will find other editors to abuse elsewhere.}

3.) 16 Jul 2015 17:17:07
Chris in Tamworth was here before both the chicken and the egg ;)

13 Feb 2015 15:15:27
Afternoon Ed(s) with all the talk about defensive options for next season and in particular the thought that Ilori is an option (I would certainly have him back in) what are your thoughts on his future?
Will Liverpool bring him back and give him opportunities or do you think BR is not keen? Just value your opinion cheers

{Ed002's Note - The club need to talk with him and outline their plans for next season. Liverpool has taken two years out of his career so far and he should be assured that there is some future. It could, in my view, go either way.

He has no great value so it would, in a way given the financial predicament and the FFP issues, be best to keep him.}

1.) 13 Feb 2015 20:53:13
Should replace Toure in squad for next year, get some experience in the cup games and a few league games, then be the long term replacement for Skrtel the year after.

Has got it all this kid, just needs the opportunity to show it.

2.) 13 Feb 2015 21:07:40
Totally agree Elderslie well said👍

3.) 14 Feb 2015 08:48:23
Haven't seen him play this Is he performing so far?

{Ed002's Note - He has been out injured. I also very much doubt he will want a third season disrupted by Liverpool.}

24 Dec 2016 08:39:59
Hi all I don't get on so much these days but wanted to wish you all and the Eds a very merry Christmas and healthy and prosperous new year

{Ed001's Note - Merry Christmas Chris, I hope that you are busy because things are going well for you mate. Best of luck for the New Year.}

1.) 24 Dec 2016 08:52:22
Work is flat out mate not sure if it'll last but got to earn while it's there. Still got that idea I mentioned circling around my head so if you're ever in my neck of the woods let me know and I'll run it by you over a beer

{Ed001's Note - I will make sure to do so. I am in the UK next month, but only for a week so I doubt I will have time to go anywhere other than spending it with family.}

2.) 24 Dec 2016 13:59:34
In your own good time Ed you'll love it when you hear/ see it but like me you may wonder how to make it happen.

{Ed001's Note - I am intrigued to hear what it is that is for sure.}

05 Nov 2016 22:50:06
Evening Ed001
I've seen you talk often about players you've met so I thought I'd ask did you ever meet Yossi Benayoun? If so what was he like? I always thought he was a wonderfully gifted footballer with a quick brain and feet to match. Underrated in my opinion
Would you agree.

{Ed001's Note - I have never met him, sadly. I did love him as a player, not just for his ability but for his workrate and desire. He just never seemed to stop. I agree very underrated. I certainly had never realised how good he was until we signed him.}

1.) 06 Nov 2016 09:08:44
Remember that goal he scored against Fulham in the 90th at nil nil? 08/ 09

We almost won the title that year if not for spurs to give up a 2 nil lead and that macheda goal.

Not as painful as 13/ 14 though.

03 Jun 2016 07:58:28
Morning Ed (s) I was very impressed with the lad Pereira for Portugal last night, any idea what the future holds for this lad?
Any chance he is on our radar?

{Ed001's Note - which Pereira? It is an extremely common name and I never watched the game so don't know which one it could be. I am not a big fan of international footie so only watch it if I have to!}

1.) 03 Jun 2016 08:03:13
Sorry Ed, defensive midfielder Danilo Pereira I think he's at Porto.

{Ed001's Note - yeah he only joined them last summer, but they are always willing to sell for a large profit. I have not heard of anyone chasing him, but Porto do attract large numbers of scouts for their games.}

2.) 03 Jun 2016 08:32:23
Cheers Ed, I like the look of him. By the way you didn't miss anything by not watching England last night except of course more evidence of just how overrated Rooney is.

{Ed001's Note - watching England is particularly tiresome these days it must be said.}

10 May 2016 06:52:16
Morning Ed001 sorry I missed everything yesterday (was a bit busy) but I've donated a bit this morning hope it all works out.

{Ed001's Note - thank you Chris, nice to know you have been busy, as hopefully that is with your business you were talking about a while back?}

1.) 10 May 2016 07:28:41
Ah if only Ed, I got well and truly shafted on that one by an organisation that promised to look after me
I've had my own joinery business for a while now though and that's paying the bills so can't complain
I'm working on something completely different now (it's a football related invention) if we ever meet I'll let you in on it and we can be millionaires together.

{Ed001's Note - well and truly shafted? I know that feeling! Especially in business, the amount of ad agencies that promise you they will take over inventory, you sort out all the details and then never hear from them again is legion!

Joinery business? That is a good trade mate, is it connected to the football invention? Next time I can return to the country we will have to arrange a meet up for everyone that wants to come, so I can thank you all.}

2.) 10 May 2016 08:11:10
The business is ok and it pays the bills but it's not really what I want to do for the rest of my days, no the invention is electronic and I'd be glad to run it by you any input would be greatly appreciated. Would be great to meet up when you're over good luck with everything.

{Ed001's Note - feel free to get in touch about it mate, be interested to hear about it.}

3.) 10 May 2016 09:35:22
Cheers Ed, will do.

{Ed001's Note - I will look forward to hearing from you then mate.}

4.) 10 May 2016 13:51:04
Ed, what do you think the tit who keeps disagreeing with my comments is ACTUALLY disagreeing with?
Sorry but I hate the disagree button.

{Ed001's Note - I don't like the buttons either, but they have kept a lot of the spam posts away since being placed up so they are not entirely useless. I just ignore the agree/disagrees.}

17 Mar 2016 16:20:31
As a bit of an olive branch I'd like to ask Ed001, how do you see it going tonight? The obvious thing I suppose is to expect United to really come at us and we try to counter but I wouldn't be surprised if we attempted to start very quickly and try to control from the off.

{Ed001's Note - there is no need for an olive branch, we just need to get a 'this is a joke' font for typing with, along with a sarcasm one, as they are both difficult to judge in pure type.

I think United will not open up until the second half, hoping to catch us out in the first half, without risking going down by another goal. Though you can never tell, as it doesn't seem like van Gaal actually knows either, the players seem to take it on themselves at times to attack. I just can't see him wanting them to risk conceding a third.

1.) 17 Mar 2016 17:02:15
It's going to be a furious first 5/ 10 mins I think. Like s good old Derby.

2.) 17 Mar 2016 17:25:15
Agreed about the font idea Ed, also agree that there doesn't seem to be much of a plan from van Gasl most of the time. Whichever way it pans out I'm hopeful that our front line will cause too many problems for it to be an issue
Would love another clean sheet though.

{Ed001's Note - a clean sheet would be ideal. I don't care if I am bored to tears tonight, just so long as we don't go out! I am dreading an early error costing a goal and putting us on the backfoot. For once I would like us to do it the easy way.}

3.) 17 Mar 2016 17:40:10
Ed001, don't you think it's wishful thinking? Considering that our last 4 competition final wins have gone into extra-time and 3 of them went to penalties lol.

{Ed001's Note - very much so, but I can hope.}

4.) 17 Mar 2016 17:53:20
I think they will get an early goal but second half Sturridge and Coutinho will wrap it up 1-2
Next round Dortmund, that would be special.

5.) 17 Mar 2016 18:33:03
I have a real bad feeling about tonights game. A 2-0 lead is a weird lead to defend. Do you sit deep and try to counter or just go and attack? The player's mindset is going to be vital. Please god an early goal for us then i can rest easy.

6.) 17 Mar 2016 18:39:43
Think we'll win 3-0 tonight 😎.

7.) 17 Mar 2016 18:58:15
1st 15-20 minutes is crucial keep it nice and tight.

8.) 17 Mar 2016 21:09:16
I disagree about wanting dortmund, i hope they go to athletico or something and get knocked out. don't fancy facing them at all. But hopefully we can kill this tie off and at least still be in the mix.

The problem is it's an issue with morals and integrity which the game struggles with at the best of times, add to that we're talking about John Terry who has neither and it's no surprise.

But Ed first tier football in Scotland is no better than conference standard.

{Ed001's Note - that is simply not true.}

I agree Ed I've always said he has all the tools and I've tried to defend him this season when at times he's been below par and a target for some.

I like words Ed, in any language. I like to think of myself as a fairly cunning linguist.

{Ed002's Note - lächelndes Gesicht.}
