Just would like to help you with a small rumor, Joe Allen is very likely to leave in January.

European glory

1.) 23 Dec 2015 19:33:27
That's exactly what the eds have said.

2.) 23 Dec 2015 20:36:50
No way, really?

3.) 23 Dec 2015 21:18:40
The post directly below this seems strangely similar :p

Regardless, merry Christmas Harry.

6.) 24 Dec 2015 17:00:50
Ed001 essentially already indicating Allen would likely leave in January.

7.) 26 Dec 2015 20:10:24

Ed02 Evg mate, If you are around. Could you tell us what's happening with Kovacic to Real Madrid all sudden news coming up?
Is it total paper rubbish or anything concrete.
You never mentioned Madrid in the potential interested parties for the player in the past.

Apologies if the question on the wrong page, I could pass it to the real page.

Thanks mate

European glory

{Ed002's Note - Kovacic will probably be moving to Real Madrid. Real Madrid only made an approach in recent days when they were made aware that he would be available to be sold. Barcelona were also approached again.}

16 Aug 2015 12:14:24
We are back in for Kovacic. Football Italia claims it.

{Ed033's Note - Good bit of humour, EG. What's with you and the number 9? (9 years and counting)

1.) 25 Dec 2015 22:04:58
Been close to 9 years with the site. Very well remember those times. Torres first goal etc. Incredible 2008/09 season. His transfer. Caroll purchases. FSG take over.
Relationship of nearly a Decade.

2.) 26 Dec 2015 03:28:29
Don't forget our mate ken aguero. He got into all manner of strife.

3.) 26 Dec 2015 10:27:11
Never forget Ken, The only poster who predicted Lallana would turn out to be another Charlie Adam.

Not Liverpool related but truly word class and need to be on the page.

Robert Lewandowski scored 5 goals inside 10 mts.
Brilliant.

European glory

1.) 22 Sep 2015 22:09:05
Nah! Fowler's 3 goals in 4 minutes is better and i'm not being biased! ;-)

2.) 23 Sep 2015 01:16:35
The fact mane broke that record kinda takes the shine off it now. Which hurts like hell because i love God. A part of me died when that record was broken.

04 Sep 2015 06:10:13
Mng eds and Reds

Out from the usual controversies, banter please.

Best striker in the PL era.

1. My heart says fowler but Henry for me. He was the most complete striker I have seen in the league. Henry could dribble half of the opposition in their own half. He was unplayable.

2. Suarez comes second. He could do anything and he scores for fun.

European glory

{Ed001's Note - I can't look past Fowler, he was special, if he had only had a better team around him!}

1.) 04 Sep 2015 08:17:47
Hard to argue with Henry, Hazza. Maybe through Shearer in there too, for mine. And while Robbie is one of my favours, i am not sure he was in that peak group for long enough.

2.) 04 Sep 2015 08:41:27
Red tinted specs maybe ed? Henry was a monster you have to admit. Like you i have my red shades on too and go with fowler but i have to say i enjoyed watching berkamp immensely.

{Ed001's Note - I love Henry but I would have Bergkamp as my second. Wonderful player was Bergkamp.}

3.) 04 Sep 2015 09:14:56
It has to be Fowler. Henry had the benefit of a class team around him. Imagine what a monster Fowler would have been with the Liverpool sides of the 70's or 80's around him, or Henry's Arsenal side, or Cantona's United?

Fowler was pure class who - when he was getting poor service, would just go and make his own goals.

4.) 04 Sep 2015 09:30:53
Hey All,

I got in to football around 97/98 so never really saw Fowler in his peak years. Was it injuries that curtailed his career, Michael Owen blocking him or just the wrong team?

5.) 04 Sep 2015 10:03:13
Fowler was definitely the best finisher

6.) 04 Sep 2015 10:15:41
Alan Shearer for me, the epitome of a British centre forward. Added to the fact he rejected MUFC to join his hometown club when they were never really going to win anything and how he recovered from some fairly serious injuries and came back almost like new - awesome player

7.) 04 Sep 2015 10:16:49
Muscatred - probably falling out with the management might have had an effect on his LFC career.

8.) 04 Sep 2015 10:52:42
He never got on with Houllier, felt he had to leave.

9.) 04 Sep 2015 10:53:13
Jozy altidore

10.) 04 Sep 2015 11:25:02
Matt le tissier in terms of natural ability

11.) 04 Sep 2015 11:54:55
Le Tiss was a great player. Not a great goal scorer but a scorer of great goals. Think one season in particular he had the top 4 goals of the season.

12.) 04 Sep 2015 14:11:57
georgie kinkladze !!!! junhio !!!!

13.) 04 Sep 2015 14:28:21
Best striker overall Alan Shearer
Best LFC striker in prem only one Fowler. It's good to see him ibavk involved with the club

14.) 04 Sep 2015 17:58:21
Love this sort of thing - but as an avid Fowler fan, and also a massive Michael Owen fan - it is always good to remind the non Owen fans:-
Fowler - total LFC games 369 - goals 183 goals/games ratio 2.02
Owen - total LFC games 297 - golas 158 goals/games ratio 1.88

{Ed001's Note - Fowler played as part of a team, Owen had a team built around him, ridiculous to compare them. He was a poisonous little dwarf who caused hassle behind the scenes and wasn't half as good as those stats make him look. The only tactic of the Houllier team was to get the ball to Owen in the 6 yard box, even then he used to miss a lot of easy chances. Fowler was often having to do it all himself, and in the early part of his career he was alongside Rush, who was the go to man.}

27 Aug 2015 22:08:06
Lazar Markovic on loan to Fenerbahce. One of the worst and stupid decision by the club ever. Trying to protect his own pet Lallana.

I pray BR regrets.

European glory

1.) 27 Aug 2015 23:40:08
Well normally I'd say loaning a kid out is a good thing, however Markovic, despite his rough edges, really does bring almost the same as Lallana to the table. And since I'd rather see Can over Lallana every day and therefore have the other coming from the bench, I would totally prefer Markovic subbing in over Lallana.

2.) 27 Aug 2015 23:42:56
Why do you pray he regrets it? That would mean the club is in a bad situation wouldn't it?

3.) 28 Aug 2015 00:20:38
EG, I know Markovic is your favorite but your comment is a bit messed up. The only way Rodgers could possibly regret this (if it's even true that is) is if Liverpool do badly and Markovic plays so well that it's inconceivable he wouldn't have improved the team.

Let's forget the possibility of Markovic being that good for a second and focus on the fact that you've announced you want Liverpool to do badly. Not cool dude.

4.) 28 Aug 2015 05:31:05
That would mean similar like Lucas. I hate people when they are biased to certain players. This loan has nothing to do with the lad. BR doesn't prefer him nor like him and think Lallana is a better player than Markovic which is not.

People were all over when Lucas was heading out. But Markovic loan makes sense?

5.) 28 Aug 2015 07:08:57
Why put words in EG's mouth? He didn't say once that he hoped LFC will do bad. This is a very bad move by the club if true, how can Lallana play 90 min every match when fit(no disrespect i like the lad but he is like a more offensive joe allen, he is there and he likes running with the ball and that's it) but a special talent with amazing potential doesn't get a chance?

6.) 28 Aug 2015 08:23:50
He is not ready and needs regular consistent game time. Ibe came back a better player after a couple of good loans.

Cant understand the complaining tbh, he will not get ahead of firmino, couts and sturridge when fit so would spend the majority of the time in the stand or on the bench.

This way he either improves and comes back a confident exciting player or gets sold at the end of the season, fairly binary decision for me.

We missed the chance to sign him up in the summer. He was available. the Money was less and we did not. Chelsea wouldn't sell anyone till summer unless they bring a new manager.

Clubs scout 100's of players and Benteke was one of them. I don't remember Ed02 mentioning Dortmund making any bid for the player to suggest any serious interest.

He needs consistency Into his game. The only drawback I found was his defensive vulnerability pretty much like Gerrard. But he is good. Play him as the advance midfielder and you get the Gerrard of 2008/ 09.

The coming Transfer window ll be crucial for Leicester. From survival to challengers. They should now recruit players who could help them to challenge.
Mahrez still caused us problems. Nutmegged three of our players with ease yesterday.

We must start Believing.

Agree with TjRed. Unless you don't sell a striker, We ain't brining one in.
I am in the opinion of having a Winger. Someone like Mahrez. Width give this team a whole new dimension.
