I live in Glasgow and work in newspapers and to be honest I don't he could pick a worse first job.
Rangers are close to a financial ruin again, the chairman is hardly ever in the country, and their are factions in the boardroom.
If you think our fans have high expectations, Rangers (and Celtic) fans believe they have a divine right to win every game.
The harsh reality for Rangers at the moment is that they are long way from competing with Celtic at the moment, who to be honest haven't really performed to their true level this year domestically, and have huge reserves to buy new players on the basis that they've not spent money for years as they haven't needed to.
The Rangers fans just don't see any of this, and any manager is just 3 bas results away from the sack due to the incredible pressure and influence they have over the media up here.
In summary, the club has no money to buy new players, a board that can't agree on anything, no real hope of catching Celtic who will just spend if there is any threat to their dominance, and the fans won't give him a chance to settle in.
