Anybody know of any reason why Sinclair is not even making WIgans match day squad?

Glowbrix

1.) 07 Apr 2015 14:49:42
Seems very strange he's not even on the bench!

2.) 07 Apr 2015 15:44:27
The plot thickens (or I'm ignorant) - Sinclair was named as in the XI for our U21 match against Fulham today. Unless we have another Sinclair, is he back with us?

3.) 07 Apr 2015 16:13:33
He's on a youth loan so can play in the u21s for 'pool

Jordan Ibe (Derby): 5 goals and 1 assist in 23 games (only 1220 minutes though as he makes a lot of sub appearances). He has been class with 5 top goals from the left wing and 1 assist. He has been playing really well consistently. Being well managed by McClaren though to be fair in terms of taknig the pressure off of him.

Teixeira (Brighton): started really well and then fell away a bit as Brighton collapsed. 1 goal and 4 assists in 20 appearances. He is playing well but seems to lack consistency in terms of final product.

Andre Wisdom (West Brom): haven't followed him much but he has played very well in the 3 games I've watched. Looks like he'll be more than good enough competition for our right back slot next season.

Aspas (Sevilla): 7 goals and 1 assist in 12 games sounds good until you find out that 6 of those goals and the assist came in 2 games in the copa del ray against weaker opposition. Haven't followed him at all aside from stats and highlights though.

Alberto (Malaga): 2 goals and 1 assist in 12 games. Like Ibe though he hasn't played many full games (just 524 minutes). Looks good in highlights but who doesn't. Haven't seen him in full once so can't elaborate.

Origi (Lille): He started really well with 3 goals and 2 assists in his first 8 league games. However he has just 1 assist and zero goals in his last 11 league games. Hit a major dry patch. Doesn't look ready for Premier league football to me. He is still young, but he reminds me of a Danny Weleck. He will work so hard for theteam, offer pace and power, score the odd goal. Don't ever expect him to be world class though. He might be one day, but don't expect it. 4 goals and 3 assists in 26 appearances in all competitions.

Lloyd Jones, Jack Dunn, Kevin Stewart (Cheltenham Town): by all accounts they've started well but we'll have to see how well they do as the season goes on. Dunn and Stewart scored on their debuts though and Jones was impressive as well apparently.

Assaidi (Stoke): hasn't done enough really. 2 assists in 11 appearances (only 407 mniutes though). Haven't followed him remotely because I don't see him having a future.

Hope this helps in some way buddy.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks EMS.}

2.) No worries Ed. Forgot about Ilori. Just 6 games for Bordeaux. He did score a goal in a league game though. Haven't seen any of his games but it looks like he is struggling for game time.

{Ed002's Note - Ilori got himself injured for more than two months.}

3.) Cheers for making the effort EMS.

I'm a nerd for reports like that!

Alberto also spent a period injured. And I've watched Wisdom a fair bit, he's making the decision to loan him out and loan Manquillo in look ridiculous

5.) Cheers EMS.

So question. Can anyone think of any Liverpool players that once sold went on to enjoy better success / continued excellence?

I can really only think of Xabi Alonso.
Maybe arbeloa?

At a stretch Anelka. though he was only on loan.

?

FYI I haven't included mascherano as though he did go Barca IMO he has gone from being one of the best defensive midfielders to well? A semi decent centre half?

Anyone think of any?

Article 2 of the FIFA Disciplinary code states that:
"This code applies to every match and competition organised by FIFA"

Article 136 of the code states that:
"If the infringement is serious, in particular but not limited to doping, unlawfully influencing match results, misconduct against match officials, forgery and falsification or violation of the rules governing age limits the associations, confederations, and other organising sports bodies shall request FIFA to extend the sanctions they have imposed so as to have worldwide effect."

"If the judicial bodies of FIFA discover that associations, confederations and other sports organisations have not requested a decision to be extended to have worldwide effect, these bodies may themselves pass a decision."

This would suggest that contrary to what you say Ed01, Fifa can't ban Luis domestically? Only request the FA do so?

Or is your interpretation different?

{Ed002's Note - You have misinterpreted this. You are wrong.}

Brilliant views Ed002 thanks!. saves endless questions about targets!, but what about ED001? Care to add anything?

Glowbrix

{Ed001's Note - not a lot to add to that, I do believe we have decided against Ryan, despite his agent's best efforts to get him a move, he simply is not good enough for the top leagues and so will probably move to a low end team in Spain or Italy.
Bakkali we were discussing on the editor's widget and I did mention to the other editors yesterday that the feeling is that he is 'difficult' and best avoided.
Turan will again be looking to join us, but I doubt we will have the finances required sadly.
Mostly it is going to be about moving players out to buy new ones, though the removal of Johnson and Gerrard does clear up any issues with the wage bill being too high. It is just that we have to avoid building up debt while the stadium is being rebuilt, so it is going to be a time to be careful with our spending. Thankfully the new TV deal will mean we can sell to buy, rather than having to sell to pay for the stadium.}

FYI, there was a certain Daniel Sturridge in the City team that year.
