Anyway, £6m? Take Montpellier's hand off. I don't think he's a lost cause as a player by any stretch, if he could just concentrate properly he'd be decent (maybe less Instagram would help) . But even if the club did want to retain him, which I gather we don't, the ludicrous levels of scrutiny he'd get making a League Cup 3rd round appearance for us make it unmanagable.
Maybe he'll get it together and be a better keeper in his 30s than in his 20s like James was.

The clubs are speeding up with their transfer business. Chelsea closing on Havertz while city have started theirs closing on Ake.

Frank has done extremely well to be fair, coming the the championship to a club with a transfer ban, he's incorporated some quality youth players and developed a good squad, if Chelsea get a half decent keeper they will compete next season.

Next season is a little too soon for them to carry title form for a full season, imo. They lack a little quality at the back and their new signings in attack will need a little gel time.
Could be a big threat for the title the following season though.

Ello ed just watched the blues there the young Lad braithwaite done well, gomes was better an richarlison is in good form, good battling performance.

It frustrates me that we are unable to get the players we want to improve the team and keep challenging for top honours. On top of that, some teams like Chelsea are fortunate enough to get some top players easily because they have money to spend and others don't.
Don't get me wrong, we have great players in our squad but I would like to see Klopp strengthen the team even more and probably let some players go.
What better time to attract top players when we are on top.

also for us, it must be a combo of money as well as the logistics of the squad. Like I'm sure we'd all love to have Thiago, but included alongside Fabinho, Hendo, Gini, Ox, Jones, Milner for a club that is already paying massive wages for the squad etc just doesn't seem sensible. I'm sure if we were moving a bunch of players on then it'd be a different story but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Also I think some of ya are suffering from an inferiority complex. We have a fantastic squad.

the transfer ban has done wonders for chelsea. forced their hand to play their unproven but very talented youth, which fast tracked the development of some incredible players. now they have the opportunity to continue to add talent into a stacked squad. i think they're building a pretty solid threat to both liverpool and manchester city. i don't take them lightly at all.

Kai is the one player i would have loved to see most at LFC. He has the highest ceiling of all the players of that age imo. Can't believe CFC are just buying up all the players we can no longer afford. That club has little soul though, although Frank is creating that a bit.

I am sorry but he is bang average. Firmino had his worst season in a red shirt and he couldn’t get a sniff at him. He is never going to push anyone of the front three. I can’t believe at his age he isn’t even pushing for minutes when half of the world wants guarantees.
Working hard and having an impact are two different things. There is a reason why are fringe players are not wanted like Chelsea’s. Simply not good enough. Chelseaâ€s fourth attacker is Christian pulisic and that’s the difference.

Am I the only one who would like a top class CB to be signed for the next season? Gomes has been passive off late and Klopp clearly want to shore up his defense. Without VVD we are literally pants and Diego Carlos is a beast. Highly experienced and a senior center back.

Yes except Thiago has a bit more pace to his game. Moreover he did play the traditional B2B role in his earlier career. Klopp likes Thiago and he clearly wants him. Wijnaldum was a CAM when we signed him and he still plays that way for Holland except at LFC. Nobody knows what Klopp is thinking now!

You have a pout but you also miss the fact you need to take chances and play him often. Or he turns to be the next Origi. Firmino has his worst season in his footballing. Career and origi couldn't get a sniff at him.
Brewster is a proper CF. Likes to run behind the defense and he would cause Havoc. Having many seasons at Swansea wouldn’t change the fact that we don’t actually play with a CF! Would it? Klopp got a decision to make here.
Sell Origi and keep Brewster. Give him chances when Firmino plays rubbish! That’s how you do it or wait until Bobby retires!
