Brewster thanking the Ox for his support and encouragement to keep at the recovery from injury fitness regime. Has the Ox ever done anything bad in his life?! From the limited insight we get he sounds like an all round top bloke. Great to have him at our club.

I have been using this site for ages and have registered about four times. I thought I would finally re-register (forgotten details) just to say I have been supporting Liverpool for 39 years (out of 43) and I can't remember a season since God was in his prime that I have enjoyed as much as last season. The style of football was outstanding. We were blunted in the CL final by a team skilled at doing just that. Similar to Utd under Mourinho but with better weapons at their disposal. No shame in that. Will we challenge for the title next year? Who knows? Maybe not. Maybe not quite there yet. But I know one thing. With Klopp at the rudder it will be white water rather than mill pond. And I'm all for that.
Oh. And Ed 002 why haven't Fekir, Allisson, Dembele and Neymar signed yet? It must be at least 45 mins since I last checked. Why? Why? (Sobbing) Why?

I’m old enough to remember watching Zico, Falcao, Socrates, et al. Zico was a personal favourite. Always liked Romario after what he did to Man Utd in Barcelona but the arrival of Ronaldo was a step up.
The type of step up compared to his peers that lends itself to the lazy journalistic phrase “unplayableâ€. There is a video of him playing under Bobby Robson where he runs from the half way line and his demeanour is that of a bull on the charge. He had the strength to shrug of defenders of all types and the skill to back it up. The one thing he was adept at (like Romario but unlike Neymar) was if it was a horrible little toe poke that was required that’s what happened. Goals for the team not the camera.
