Hi eds in my home town, ( northeast of England ) we have an ex pro some might remember a long time ago, Kevin Stonehouse He played for numerous teams in the lower leagues .
Apparently he Scouts for Newcastle now and I heard he is scouting Ojo for a loan move . Would going on loan to Nufc be a good move for us an him with thecstyke of play .
Cheers

Probably wouldn't be the worst move with rafa there. But hopefully he will get a good pre season under his belt and push on with us.

2.) 08 Jul 2016 12:30:41
With Ibe potentially leaving would he move up the pecking order. Surely getting some game time and training with the first team would be best option. If not then I would guess a "top" side even in the Championship would be good development. He seems to be beyond where league 2 or 1 is good for him.

Hi eds . This is to ed1 I sent a message earlier about a young kid who is apparently signing for Liverpool from Newcastle . He will be playing U15s next season . Apparently he hasn't signed just yet and things are too stay hush hush until he does . I will ask again in a weeks time when hopefully you might have heard something , unless you have heard anything since this morning .
Cheers

{Ed001's Note - it is unlikely I will hear anything, at that age it tends to be very much below the radar. Plus you still haven't mentioned a name!}

So we are 6 points behind Utd with a game in hand, city are 10 points behind Leicester with s game in hand and pelligrini thinks they can still win the league . Any reason we can't finish 4th?
Massive performance last night . Thought Kolo was quality and do think he could do with another contract . Selling skrtel and making some money out of that deal as Kolo woke probably go for free . Can was quality the bloke has a bigger engine than Henderson . Never seems to tire . Origi is such a menace for defenders never stops moving and him and firminho together his red thier defenders all night . Loved flan is first tackle on sterling . Think that was sterling out of the game from them onwards . Happy today .

Oh my god I should have read through my original post . My spelling is terrible .
Sorry
Jamesee.

2.) 03 Mar 2016 07:52:36
Because city are 4th not United. I know they are level, but they also have a game in hand, and are more likely to catch up on Leicester than drop more points than us. It's not out the question but there's still West Ham, United, stole and city to catch. It's a lot to do!

3.) 03 Mar 2016 11:41:03
We just need to concentrate on our games and pick up results. Anything can happen. City or Arsenal might completely implode.

4.) 03 Mar 2016 15:50:29
Arsenal and City have looked Shaky, we will have to see! It would be great to get top 4 and we also have Europa :)

Ed1 a couple of questions . 1 : Is Stewart highly regarded at Liverpool . I think he has looked a class above in the games I have seen him play . 2 : I was just wondering who is the most highly rated youth/ u21 player we have at the moment .
Cheers

{Ed001's Note - 1. yes, very. 2. probably Ojo, but it is difficult to put any kind of ranking.}

1.) 31 Jan 2016 05:24:27
Klopp should play Ojo as false 9 rather than benteke. Not sure y Ryan Kent.

2.) 31 Jan 2016 08:09:02
Ed do you know of any particular reason why at both Wolves and Liverpool Ojo tends to play only in the last 30 minutes or so? I can see he's a dangerous impact sub, but I'd love to see him start some games.

{Ed001's Note - because he is just a kid who is still learning his way. He should be watching the game and figuring out where he thinks he could get at the opposition, then coming on and trying to see if those weak points he thought he identified are really there.}

3.) 31 Jan 2016 10:05:51
Thanks ed.

Well I think Allen changed the game when he came on . One thing I've noticed about Allen is he never hides and is always looking for the ball . And I thought bentekes hold up play was brilliant last night . I do agree once he has passed the ball after holding it up he then should be getting into the box to try and get on the end of crosses . I just feel now that people agree he's not a Klopp player ( as in style ) that people are now giving him a hard time . We have been blessed in recent season with forwards such as Torres, Suarez and Sturridge ( when fit ) that Benteke has had some big boots too fill and granted he hasn't set the world on fire but he still a Liverpool player . Just an opinion . Cheers

Jamesee people are sick watching him standing and not bothering his a**, not pressing, not getting into box for crosses, not making runs and then giving out to players for not passing to him.
It's not that he doesn't suit Klopp style, he's dog lazy.

2.) 27 Jan 2016 08:11:55
Mcgoveb, but you've got to accept that he held up the ball and moved it around, last night, far better than he has in recent games. What I don't understand is why he is so far away from the box when the ball is in the opposition's half. If he's not in the box then his teammates will not look for him, and then the arguments about not enough crosses going in for him becomes academic. Maybe it's a tactical decision by the coaches. In either case, if he is going to stand around, I'd prefer he do it in or near the box, rather than out on the left. He'd keep the centerbacks busy and give Firmino, Lallana and Ibe chances to slash in towards goal.

3.) 27 Jan 2016 08:21:05
Brilliant? Five times in the short period he played I noticed crosses come into good positions and every time it was Frimino busting a gut to get to it, only once did Benteke make the run. He refuses to use his own best weapon, but also doesn't seem arsed to do much else!

4.) 27 Jan 2016 08:31:48
Benteke appears to be doing the classic thing players do under pressure. He's coming too far back trying to get the ball and do it all, when it isn't his game to be able to beat people on the run and school those goals. We've seen twice in recent weeks he is the last person on the team we want to get the ball with an open run on goal 30m out. But if he just got in the box and started giving the rest of them a target he'd be getting shots/ headers and getting goals and looking like a player who can fit in.

20 Jan 2016 21:58:56
Well done lads . Thought they all did well . From what I saw Benteke tried a little to hard to impress and it didn't really work .
Most will go for the goal scorers or the flair players but I thought Stewart was quality tonight . Think he made 1 mistake and that was right at the end but everything he did was positive . I also think Ojo should be on the bench for the 1st team and given the chance . Great to see flanno back too . Cheers

Benteke looks as if he was kidnapped by aliens, had all his football memory deleted and brought back to earth.

Seriously, I am the biggest fan of this guy here but there is 'lack of confidence' and there is 'Benteke in Liverpool this season'. It is so much worse even than Torres in Chelsea because it is not only him missing his shots, he looks so lost on the pitch, like its his first time in an actual game of football and he doesn't know what is the role of a striker and where he should be. His body language is so poor. I am sure in Villa, in a game like today last year he would have scored at least 2-3. I mean even compared to the begining fo the season with us, back then he would at least win every ball in theair, he now looks so soft, and is losing balls in the air to players a head shorter than him. It is a bit like Balotelli, he had so much quality in City regardless of what you think of his personality and then last year playing for us he looked so lost, you couldn't believe it is the same player.

Maybe the pressure of playing for Liverpool is too much for him. I mean credit for him that he at least didn't lose his passing skills in the box, had an asisst and a half today, but other than that just sad. We paid so much money, it doesn't work for us with him, his confidence is ruined for God knows how long, and Villa are relagated without him. Everyone seem to have lost something from that deal.

2.) 20 Jan 2016 22:26:06
Over the two Exeter games (where i saw many LFC players playing for the first time) Stewart was the eye-opener for me. Calm, poise and efficiency - what's necessary for a good holding midfielder. A few mistakes but that comes with the inexperience. Very good potential.

09 Jan 2016 12:07:55
Hi eds, reds,
I don't have LFC tv anymore but used to before you had to pay, I used to watch the U21s quite a bit but since you have to pay for it I don't anymore . So my question is about Ojo, I thought he looked really good last night and wondered what his most natural position is and is left his preferred foot?
If he is a winger, do you now see him getting on the bench?
Cheers
Jamesy.

Jamesee

{Ed001's Note - he is left footed but can play on either wing or behind a striker. He was recalled to play, so I do expect him to become an option to come on against tired legs.}

1.) 09 Jan 2016 13:38:25
Three goals and four assists in 19 games for Wolves is not a bad return for a teenager, IMO. I hope he gets a chance going forward because per the Ed's, he's well thought of.

2.) 09 Jan 2016 14:01:17
It's actually 3 goals and 5 assists. Also, don't be mislead by appearances. He was usually a sub. He played about 800 minutes of fotball which works out at less than 9 full 90 minutes. So he averages a goal or an assist every 100 minutes. He has one hell of a future.

3.) 09 Jan 2016 14:21:08
Spot on, EMS. He's the one I think has a really good future with us.

Ejaria . I think he can force his way into the squad . He has everything . Pace, skill, strength and can pick a pass . I'm hoping he will bulk up a little and once he does we will have some player .

I still can't understand the Henderson debate . Now i know if we all thought the same thoughts the world would be a boring place but I'm sure there is proof that when Henderson plays, Liverpool play better . I personally think he's quality and a very good captain.
