Hi eds. Was watching the Leicester vs Atletico game the other night and noticed Jose Gimenez looked quite the defender, researched him today and seen a few posts about us rivalling Man Utd to get his signature? Any truth in this or just lazy journalism? Thanks guys.

{Ed001's Note - lazy and utter bollox. I wish we could get him.}

1.) 20 Apr 2017 18:44:06
Fantastic defender as is most of Madrids defences Godin is good, lucas hernandez is quality, savic has built his reputation up a little same as nastasic since leaving city.

2.) 20 Apr 2017 19:36:41
I thought the "lazy and utter bollox" referred to Gimenez!

{Ed001's Note - no mate. Gimenez is a quality defender.}

3.) 21 Apr 2017 12:35:27
Sounds like the Spanish Joe Gomez!

Don't know if there's any genuine interest in Naby Keita eds? Anyway, if so; there's hardly any real chance of it happening anyway I'd say, considering the fact that Leipzig are owned by Red Bull and they're not short of cash? Cheers lads.

{Ed002's Note - I understand from an Arsenal scout that the club will look to make an offer to RBL for Naby Keita in the summer. He has been looked at by Arsenal on several occasions these past two seasons with interest also being shown by PSG and Dortmund with the prior interest of Bayern Munich waning. There has been no interest shown by Liverpool at this time according to his agent.}

1.) 05 Mar 2017 05:14:57
watched 2 RBL games this season. 2nd game this week. Naby is very impressive and tbh looks like an Arsenal-type player.

2.) 06 Mar 2017 10:37:34
I am not sure y would Arsenal buy him considering they are over stocked in that area. Coq, Carzola, Xhaka, Eleany. Ramsey, Wilshere.

3.) 07 Mar 2017 15:27:26
Probably because most of the players in that position are not very good (Wilshere, El Neny, Xhaka, Coquelin) or always injured (Ramsey, Cazorla) .

Hi eds. Hearing rumours surrounding the young Juventus midfielder Francesco Cassata being linked with us? I know he's currently out on loan. Anyone know anything about him in terms of playing style? Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Juventus has no interest in selling Francesco Cassata who they have out on loan at Ascoli with Orsollini, M'Binda and Slivka and will look to another loan next season, possibly at Sassuolo.}

13 Jan 2017 12:12:38
Seen some newspapers regarding a 25m bid for payet from us? I presume it's utter crap as he wouldn't fit our style of play in terms of the high pressing play. Any interest at all?

{Ed002's Note - Yes, but not from Liverpool.}

1.) 13 Jan 2017 13:57:36
BBC Sport Gossip reporting the interest is from Chelsea. However their source is the S*n.

2.) 13 Jan 2017 17:57:27
What's the point of adding a '*' to the word?

If you feel that strongly, don't refer to the word, otherwise just say 'Sun' for Christ sake.

It's like being at school.

{Ed025's Note - its the fact that the name of that scum bag rag should never be mentioned on this or any other football forum davey, the guy is just treating it with the contempt it deserves mate..jft96

3.) 14 Jan 2017 12:57:57
Shocked that someone from Bootle can't comprehend that, Davey. I am what you would all call a Southerner and even I refrain from calling that rag by its proper name.

4.) 14 Jan 2017 14:56:20
I'm a southerner too and I refer back to Ed025's comment.

Also, just like Beetlejuice, if you write their name 3 times then a tosser called Kelvin appears.

That rag is more worthless than the dirt on the bottom of the piece of rubbish stuck to my shoe.

{Ed025's Note - its banned from a lot of shops here in liverpool zed and well it should be, how anyone who loves football never mind liverpool can stand to read that rag is beyond me mate..

Hi eds. Any truth in the Coentrao rumours? Hearing from various Spanish sources that he's been offered to us on a one-year loan with option to buy? Also if not, is there any likelihood of a new left back being brought in? Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - I assume Twitter - as far as I know he is still going to be out injured for the next three months - maybe Moreno could cover for him?}

1.) 15 Aug 2016 16:31:34
According to the article I read he is injured until October, but the Spanish media outlet are lining us up for a loan move!
The fact the he's injured matters not so says the English paper "seeing as how there are items of furniture in Anfield with better positional sense than Alberto Moreno" which made me chuckle.

2.) 15 Aug 2016 18:59:34
Hahahahahaha Ed. spot on it should be the opposite way,

3.) 15 Aug 2016 19:04:40
Is he that much better than Moreno anyway? Probably a BS story anyway given he's out till October.

4.) 15 Aug 2016 19:48:31
eds are they looking at any left backs in particular or is it going to be milner and Moreno.

5.) 15 Aug 2016 23:45:20
He's not that better than Moreno which is why he wasn't even picked for the Euros as Raphael is three times the player Coentrao is.

{Ed002's Note - You seem to have zero grasp of the game - he suffered a serious injury in April or May and was not available to be selected. Really, if you are simply going to fill up the pages with BS it would be better not to bother rather than embarrass yourself.}

6.) 16 Aug 2016 21:07:05
I believe Coentrao would of been Portugal's 1st choice LB if fit. I have admired him for years and would be a quality signing if not for his injury. Use Milner until January and see if he's available then, he's likely to be match fit. In all truth I would be more than happy if we left the LB and signed Medel. I think we've blown our chances of a decent LB now. Signing Medel would be the next best thing. Hugely strong, intelligent on the ball and in his reading of the ball plus he can pass. I honestly think he would help cover the gaps left by Moreno because he can read the game defensively.

{Ed002's Note - You have demonstrated you lack of knowledge by your embarrassing posts. Perhaps you should let your toddler have a crack at sending some posts because they can't be worse than those of his fuckwit father.}

As I've heard not to expect much business in terms of incomings in January, and the only real outgoing being sakho possibly. I know it's early yet but is there anything about the club tracking any big deals in the summer window? Or even any departures? Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Clubs look at players without constraints of timescales and Liverpool have continued to scout players regardless of what happens this month. Much will be driven by the desire to make a few changes and then address any unplanned departures.}

1.) 03 Jan 2017 13:44:15
Cheers ed. Heard something about us scouting the Norwich youngster Jacob Murphy, anything in that?

{Ed002's Note - Yes, that is correct and there is also interest from Spurs.}

2.) 03 Jan 2017 18:19:27
Ha, do we share a scouting department? If not, I want the credit for the financial savings it would make!
