Long time since I posted on here. but a question for ed002.I take it from reading the posts by you. bissouma is our no 1 target to replace Gini but finances may see us go with the cheaper. sanches.? I would love to see Bissouma sign for lfc. reckon he could give us a new dimension in midfield.

Johnnyd

{Ed002's Note - there seems to be a consensus the Bissouma would be a great option.}

1.) 05 Jul 2021 16:37:56
Cheers ed002 ya auld legend.

2.) 05 Jul 2021 16:37:56
Cheers ed002 ya auld legend.

3.) 05 Jul 2021 21:51:27
lets hope that's the clubs opinion as well.

4.) 05 Jul 2021 23:10:30
Ed’s, long time admirer of the site (keep up the good work etc) . With the link to McGinn, any chance Robbo had a word in the Scotland camp? Think he’d be a solid signing.

{Ed002's Note - As you can imagine, I really have no idea what the two players discussed. Obviously if "Robbo" is now handling Liverpool transfers he might well of pretended to be Klopp and wobbled his tongue around the mouth and ear of McGinn.}

5.) 06 Jul 2021 00:51:57
That’s not something I’d like to see Ed. Don’t get me wrong to each his own but I’d rather see Jennifer Anniston’s tongue around the mouth and ear Courtney Cox. But that’s just me.

14 Jan 2018 10:59:56
Hate to bring bad news but seeing reports of VVD out with a knock today really hope they are wrong.

Johnnyd

1.) 14 Jan 2018 11:19:47
I just saw that as well, rough news but if he has a tight hamstring better not to risk him.

2.) 14 Jan 2018 11:38:35
That’s my bet out then 😂.

3.) 14 Jan 2018 11:42:42
He is out gutted.

4.) 14 Jan 2018 11:55:56
Yeah just saw the same, gutted if true.

5.) 14 Jan 2018 13:19:38
What are the odds of us getting humped again by City?

{Ed025's Note - that wont happen MrD..

6.) 14 Jan 2018 13:34:51
We're going to beat them.

7.) 14 Jan 2018 14:22:32
I was on my way to bet for VVD to score and they told me he is not in the betting system. I was supirsed and scared. I come home now to see this. Hope is not true.

{Ed002's Note - https://twitter.com/WonderDogSparky/status/952518512739782657 }

8.) 14 Jan 2018 15:08:04
Don't believe anything you read on twitter Ed lol.

9.) 14 Jan 2018 19:42:30
Tight hamstring.

04 Dec 2017 18:03:08
Wow that Malcom of Bordeaux looks an absolute superstar in the making. Has it all. Pace, power, trickery, vision and an absolute hammer of a left foot. Any possibility Liverpool might look to him as a cheaper alternative to maybe lemar if and when coutino goes eds?

Johnnyd

{Ed002's Note - Three clubs have spoken to Bordeaux about him recently. Some thime back Liverpool showed an interest but I am not aware of the interest being back at this time.}

1.) 04 Dec 2017 19:31:32
Cheers for the quick reply Ed 2.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

31 May 2016 23:35:01
Just seen reports Liverpool had a bid for higuian excepted? Surely that's a joke that's a couple of months too late?

Johnnyd

1.) 31 May 2016 23:52:15
Twitter mate? Just seen the same thing on there and probly a load of bull!

2.) 01 Jun 2016 00:01:04
Can't see that being true.

3.) 01 Jun 2016 00:40:30
I'm not going to, but I'd bet me left bollock it's not happening and I'm still a virgin.

4.) 01 Jun 2016 01:35:53
Unless we have an extra striker outgoing (on top of Benteke leaving) why would we be going after more strikers? We have Ings, Sturridge and Origi as well as Firmino who can play there. I have faith (and hope) that Klopp will not do a Rodgers and will instead look to reinforce where we really need it, subject to important player outgoings.

Clearly it's a LB, the GK we've taken care of and as the Eds ave said - a pacey wide player.

5.) 01 Jun 2016 07:48:07
Liverpool f c needs to clear out the likes of Benteke, Ings, Balotelli, and Luis Alberto. Higuan is an experienced striker, we should bid for him as there is no yet offer from liverpool for the striker. But, what we really need is a player that have almost. the same quality with Luis Suarez or Fernando Torres (2007 Fitness and form) .

6.) 01 Jun 2016 07:53:48
We have been linked with Higuain for every summer for the last 7 or so years.

He'd be too expensive and despite his talents, he's not a priority for the squad.

It is not going to happen!

7.) 01 Jun 2016 09:21:07
Er, Baldheadedstooge, why on EARTH do we need to clear out Ings?!?!? he was one of the few bright sparks before injury, and his style of play and versatility is perfect for Klopp's system! The lad's had a handful of games for Liverpool (6!) and is 23.

8.) 01 Jun 2016 10:29:44
Clear out Benteke and perhaps sturridge if a big offer like 40mil comes along. Then we can think of Higuain.

9.) 01 Jun 2016 12:44:23
Ings is a promising player. a season long loan could really help his shape.

10.) 01 Jun 2016 14:32:56
I would not be shocked to see Sturridge leave. if that happens, then I can see higuain being a possibility. Personally I think that would be a huge mistake by Klopp.

11.) 01 Jun 2016 22:28:34
Ings doesn't need a season long loan. he has premiership experience already and once back fully fit will no doubt prove his worth to the team. He was quality for burnley and for us early in season before his unfortunate injury.

02 May 2016 15:01:10
Rumors of Danny ward to join huddersfield on loan next season which would surely mean we have a keeper lined up to come in? Timo horn has been the name mostly banded around.

Johnnyd

1.) 02 May 2016 15:22:45
Timo Horn is a good young keeper. Would be happy if we brought him in.

2.) 02 May 2016 18:03:16
It an experienced keeper we need, who can play well consistently without the needless mistakes that Migs makes!

3.) 02 May 2016 18:03:16
It an experienced keeper we need, who can play well consistently without the needless mistakes that Migs makes!

4.) 02 May 2016 18:24:36
Timo Horn has plenty of experience for his age.

5.) 02 May 2016 18:26:56
In fact Horn has played 130 games at the age of 22. That's a lot of experience. I'd rather Horn than the likes of Begovic, Mandanda or Sirigu who are all pretty poor.

6.) 02 May 2016 20:41:18
Mandanda is actually a pretty decent keeper especially if he's available on a free. Far superior to mignolet that's for sure.

7.) 02 May 2016 22:46:19
Mandanda is terrible on crosses. I mean awful, like as bad as Barthez.

8.) 03 May 2016 09:04:52
If that's true, I would suggest it will be a no1 keeper to come in this summer, with the following season Migs leaving and ward returning from loan as competition for the new no1 keeper.

9.) 03 May 2016 23:49:30
Mandanda is average, and you can bet your arse he won't be a "free" signing. Milner was a free signing and he will have cost Liverpool quite a bit in signing on free, wages (highest at club) etc.

10.) 06 May 2016 09:06:52
If we bring in anyone to replace migs, i would like jack butland. Great young keeper, will replace heart eventually, and i think if he played for a top team he would improve a lot faster. Bot going to happen, bit that's what i would personaly like👍🏻.

WOW, just seen Saul walking down the frozen section isle in Tesco. quickly asked LFC or utd, he looked at me like I was speaking an ancient language. its at that moment I realised I had not taken my meds and was talking to a cardboard cut out in lidl of a carrot. anyway roll on the start of the league. we will mix it with the best, transfers or not. never underestimate this team we have and the fantastic manager. Hon the pool. all the way from Ireland.

Johnnyd

1.) 02 Aug 2021 12:44:00
A midfield of Fabinho - Thiago - Saul Niguez is a title-winning midfield and above anything, Manchester City or Chelsea could field. Saul is a captain and a natural successor to Henderson. Cannot believe we aren't breaking the bank for him. He is what you call a world-class signing.

{Ed025's Note - the problem is sinwave...you have already broken the bank mate..

2.) 02 Aug 2021 13:28:23
doesn't matter Ed025. Banks are to be broken lol. Or in other words, we are forced to break it. He is an excellent player.

{Ed025's Note - hes very good sinwave, he will look very smart in his black and red man utd kit mate.. :)

3.) 02 Aug 2021 13:31:04
Our net spend of about £6.40p over the past 3 seasons is causing a major problem. Thank god we won a champions league, premier league, secured record Nike deal and sold stakes in the club to RedBird just to keep us afloat.
Tea lady must be on £5million a week.

{Ed025's Note - 2 years ago you bought 3 of the most expensive players in EPL history LFC8, something has to give mate..

4.) 02 Aug 2021 13:38:21
Oh, it’s Ed025, the wind-up merchant, fresh and ready to conclude Liverpool’s spending is the same as Man City’s.

5.) 02 Aug 2021 13:43:32
They are no longer the most expensive players anyways. we can't drool over it forever. City and Chelsea splash those kinda sums every 6 months. How much has United spend in the last few years.

6.) 02 Aug 2021 14:09:44
Didn’t also sell Suarez, Coutinho and players like Ibe and Solanke for a total close to £250m? So I agree all those prize winning funds, Nike, Dunkin Doughnuts, WU, Redbird etc etc.
Yeah we’ve bought others. But sold others. As it stands This window, we bought Konate £36m plus wages. Sold three players who cost us nothing thanks to the many years of loan fees for £30m plus three sets of wages gone. Yet all I hear is sell to buy. Even Barcelona who have definitely no pot to p. in manage to bring in three players, two of which are world class and not ‘free’.

7.) 02 Aug 2021 14:11:05
LFC8, Lowe and Sinwave showing exactly why the Ed’s don’t talk finances with us.

8.) 02 Aug 2021 16:00:22
"Net spend"? So where do you put the 200 million spent on Anfield expansion and Kirkby training ground? You think a club runs on the purchases and sales of players only?

9.) 02 Aug 2021 16:05:11
I like the idea of our midfield including the cardboard cutout carrot however McTominey already plays for ManU!

10.) 02 Aug 2021 17:37:46
Saul is just a poor man's Fred. that's what united fans tell me we! we are entering a phase of ole's galacticos. they could sign mbappe and kane and Italys defence but I'd still put money on him to lose in the semis or final and at best top 4!

11.) 02 Aug 2021 14:09:59
And those 2 players helped us win the Champions' League and the Prem ed025. It kinda of sells itself.

{Ed025's Note - they did john and fine purchases they were (except naby of course), but thats why you are where you are mate...up ertha kitt creek without a paddle..

12.) 02 Aug 2021 21:27:09
Ed25, you are the last person to be going on about who is up the creek without a paddle. Neverton have literally spunked all their life savings of the past 26 years in the last 5 yrs, on absolute dross without winning as much as an argument for your efforts.

Now, you literally have to scrounge around for pennies at the subway station tinpot to use on promotional sales at Tesco for the likes of Gray (1.7m) and Townsend from the Salvation Army. Before you banter others, I propose you employ a bit more self awareness cos clearly, that is not your strong suit.

{Ed025's Note - you really dont care for the truth do you oli?, everton were not being discussed in the post so why would i mention them?, the thread was about liverpools finances and its true that they have no money...so whats your problem? stop being a 24 carat prat and a smart arse because you lack the wit to do so my friend...know your limits..

13.) 02 Aug 2021 122:18:01
Sinwave and where would united be if we had a defence last season?

Everyone moaned that we singed nobody the year we won the league. Just support the club and wait and see.

26 Jul 2021 23:28:10
Think we sign Bissouma when we offload shaq and one more. possibly with one going the other way. in my not a clue what's going to happen opinion.

Johnnyd

1.) 27 Jul 2021 06:18:44
Bissouma, would be a great buy, Johnnyd.
I personally believe we will challenge for the title mate. We where so unlucky with the injuries last season, but our finish to the league of 8 wins and 2 draws gives me hope and we must not forget the 12th man at Anfield is about to come back.
I really don't care about what the other teams do. We have Klopp and he has proven that his belief in the team and his will to win brings success.
I would rather watch a Klopp team than any other Managers team Boom!

2.) 27 Jul 2021 07:13:53
Your post warms the heart @TIMNICEBUTDIM. Nothing spectacular but pretty optimistic and a breath of fresh air. YNWA.

18 Jan 2018 19:35:28
Honest question to Ed 2. I for one can't speak for others ón this site but love to hear from Ed 2 even if it's often wat us Liverpool fans want to hear. Eg. Coutino wanting to leave n his house etc over a year ago. the wealth of knowledge you have from all leagues and different aspects of football is nothing short of amazing. How is it you have this knowledge? Do u Work in the business ness in the past or the present.?

Johnnyd

{Ed002's Note - Most people know that I am a part time gentleman adventurer and rodeo cowboy Johnny. The other Eds are far mor interesting than me - being a mix of chimney sweeps and florists.}

1.) 18 Jan 2018 20:36:21
Johnny, in my five years or so of following the site, ed002 has given nothing away. He's a tough nut to crack.

2.) 18 Jan 2018 20:29:12
Gentleman adventurer and rodeo cowboy being his sleazy L. A. two dollar lapdancing alias in the early hours of the weekend morning.

3.) 18 Jan 2018 21:26:31
I believe that 1 of the Ed's is a full time Snowman doing a handy turn in stolen Rembrandts and forged Euros.

4.) 18 Jan 2018 21:38:38
Ah so you are a man then ed? Guess who just got interesting!

{Ed002's Note - A ladies man perhaps.}

5.) 18 Jan 2018 22:29:29
Ed002 has the best job description ever. Hats off to them.

6.) 19 Jan 2018 00:26:57
I'm 64.36% that ed002 is Roman Abramovic.

7.) 19 Jan 2018 01:49:04
Statistics show that people are 73% more likely to believe you if you include a random statistic to back up your statement.

8.) 19 Jan 2018 09:23:57
I'm 99% sure that's 27% inaccurate.

9.) 19 Jan 2018 04:01:20
Whatever and whoever Ed002 is, this site just wouldn't be the same without them. I am glad you're only part time, so you can spend time with us!

10.) 19 Jan 2018 15:38:38
Some posters think Ed002 is gender fluid 🤣🤣🤣.

16 Jan 2018 21:06:22
Really cannot see why if actually Milan are in such financial worries and the young keeper donneruma wants to leave. Why Liverpool would not be all over it. Unless England and furthermore Liverpool are not on his preferred destinations? Just a suggestion eds 2.?

Johnnyd

{Ed002's Note - One of the club’s spoken to are English but it is nothing to do with Liverpool.}

1.) 16 Jan 2018 22:41:52
Thanks Ed 2 for the reply. In my opinion this lad could be the best Goalie in the world in the next 2-3 years. Replacement for Chelsea or spurs me thinks.

2.) 17 Jan 2018 01:32:59
Ive never seen him play but for me i am always wary of bringing in defenders and goalkeepers from abroad, especially ones who are 18. Regardless of how young or talented he is perceived to be, i think anyone that old would struggle to adapt to england and everything that comes with it.

10 Jan 2018 00:30:57
Again not a rumour but I could definitely see lorenzo insigne being a good replacement for couthino. Alto I do see a lot of people saying that the Napoli president is harder to negotiate a transfer with than it is to make sense of a Donald trump tweet.

Johnnyd

1.) 10 Jan 2018 02:02:17
Agreed, really hope we make an offer the Napoli president can't refuse for him, as unlikely as it may be for a deal to be done.

2.) 10 Jan 2018 02:11:08
Covfefe.

3.) 10 Jan 2018 10:11:03
Aurelio De Laurentiis would want over what we received for couthino he would see what we received and would want more no doubt that's if insigne would even want the move would love it if it happened but not many players who played in Serie A have lit up the premier league pogba looks half the player he was at juve.

4.) 10 Jan 2018 10:38:55
"we make an offer the Napoli president can't refuse"

So a horses head? Didn't realise we had any Cosa Nostra links - is it through Aquilani?

Maybe some good did come out of that transfer after all!

And yet people still see suarez as some type of God and wet themselves when he mentions Liverpool. picked them on the PlayStation. Bla Bla bla. the truth is he nearly tore the club apart. I feel the owners and Rodgers don't get enough credit with how they handled the night mare that was suarez at that time.

Thanks for the quick reply Ed. Jes it's a bit tasty behind all the hugs and laughs so. And I'm a big fan of klopp myself but honestly he must be testing the patience big time now of FSG. Seems like they might try and put a leash on the dog. So to speak. I honestly feel like FSG might see LFC as a problem they cannot fix.

Just an honest question Ed but surely the club would of had some idea of how klopp was acting behind the scenes or he would of been sacked by now? Or is it a case of FSG not having the guts to do so.?

Johnnyd

{Ed002's Note - They are the owners and have people in London who run the club. They will be extremely disappointed yet again.}
