Is it possible Andre Wisdom go out on loan next season to Derby again? Would it be something Derby would be interested in, especially if they win the playoffs and get promoted? Could give Wisdom crucial Premier League experience.

Not sure if it has been said already, but Bild appear to be reporting that RB Leipzig have put an €80 million (around £70 million) price tag on Keita.

It seems that they may have shifted from their 'not selling at all' stance. Might be room for more hope?

Or might just be me being overly optimistic.

If we want him we should pay the asking price and do it. Cause we want £15m for Moreno and won't entertain a £12m offer (yes I can't believe really either) . Double standards really piss me off and our transfer windows often are full of it.

2.) 25 Jun 2017 23:04:11
I think you can assume it's well out of our reach.

3.) 25 Jun 2017 23:44:56
that's a great point Max, and sometimes you get the feeling that our guys have a bit of "well they do it too" bithciness about them when they enter negotiations.

4.) 26 Jun 2017 00:23:29
Well, we seemed to be just giving away players before, so to now play hard-ball is good to me.

5.) 26 Jun 2017 00:33:41
Isn't it part of the negotiation process that 2 parties start with 2 figures far apart, and they both gradually move to meet in the middle? It doesn't seem right to just accept the first offer or any offer.

I don't remember when was the last time we failed to sell a player solely because we didn't drop the price by a *small* amount. Benteke, Balotelli and Carroll come to mind where some fans wanted the club to accept the first offer but they haggled to get the "best" price.

6.) 26 Jun 2017 07:46:48
Some fans on here haven't the slightest clue what "negotiation" means.

7.) 26 Jun 2017 08:00:28
Didn't we let Balotelli go on a free? Great haggling there then.

It is still a rumour that the Bild produced. Bild is the biggest gossip "newsoutlet" in Germany compairable with the Sun.

Leipzig don't need money. As they are not looking to buy anyone big this summer (They spent a lot last summer) they won't have any problems with ffp which would be the only reason to sell Keita/ Forsberg/ Werner.

Im sticking to my statement i made a few weeks back when the rumour first poped up: Keita won't happen this Summer. im happy to be wrong on this but as of now, no chance.

I hope Klavan is successful and solid whenever he plays. Will be good to see our own little Ragnar Rock in the back line.

I think he will prove to be a very shrewd signing myself JR, his versatitly will be a good asset for us, hope he is not to seriously injured, even for a pre season friendly match that was a shocking tackle.

Are Rodgers and Van Gaal competing with each other to see who can sign and then play the most midfielders this season?

Liverpool have Milner, Henderson, Can, Coutinho, Lallana, Firmino, Lucas, Allen and are targeting Kovacic.

United have Carrick, Fellaini, Blind, Herrera, Mata, and are looking to add Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin.

Also a side note, may I ask who are these cretins who (badly) photoshop players into the kits of the clubs they're linked with? Possibly the saddest thing I've seen, knowing someone's devoted effort to photoshop Angel di Maria into a PSG top or Cech into an Arsenal kit.

If liverpool sold lallana lucas allen and can and didn't buy kovacic would you be happy then?
there is no real thing like too many players. the idea is to rotate players intelligently and keep them fresh motivated and at the top of their game. the thing is rodgers is inept at this he can't manage players, he can coach them yes but can't manage a stick. As for Van gal he will manage those players and rotate them around, he will have a favourite and he will have workmen who he will use as per need.

our manager favourite is allen!!

2.) 13 Jul 2015 08:05:10
Akshit,

Do you know why Chelsea won the league last season. One reason being they always kepth their best eleven on the pitch without rotation, Infact their back 4 got hardly changed during the season.

Squad rotaion was one of the biggest downfall of Rafa era

How could we let Everton buy Deulofeu so cheap?

We should attempted to hijack the deal with a 'cheeky bid'.

I'd have offered £1.5 million, Fabio Borini's collection of scarves and Brendan Rodger's signed bed-side picture of Joe Allen.

Barca wouldn't of been able to say no.

Jolly Red

1.) 26 Jun 2015 02:34:59
We couldn't decide whether a cheeky bid or a smokescreen was the right move, so missed out on another world class signing.

2.) 26 Jun 2015 06:29:22
If there's on thing we need, its definately another winger

3.) 26 Jun 2015 11:25:15
Ah, I remember when 'cheeky' bids, 'sneaky' bids, smokescreens, and who knows what other improbable and machiavellian manoeuvres were regularly proposed by our fellow fans.
Sadly we still sometimes talk of 'deadwood', or post all manner of unlikely transfer budget summaries (eg 'ballotelli out 28 million, allen out 17m, aguero in 10m', etc).
I can still remember the days when dodgy rumours and sightings abounded (who could forget the classic 'ozil seen today getting into a taxi at manchester airport singing "ET go home"?)
Now that we actually have some clue about what is really happening thanks to the Eds, the dodgy rumour mongers seem to have moved on to pastures new- well mostly.
Vietto seen this morning at Melwood, anyone?

Can we buy the Eds a cake when silly season is over? You know, Toure style. You'd prefer a cake to a Bugatti right?

Although from what I read, some of the Eds could stay off the cakes.

Every time I click my fingers, a Brazilian lad in Liverpool sustains a major back and/ or thigh injury.

Just £2 a month could save boys, like Philipe, from a state of very great sadness, despair, and anguish.

I'd say De Gea is more than single-handedly keeping United in games right now.

It's more like double-handedly, often both legs, the greater percentage of the surface area of his body, and most likely his face at one point or another.

Truly a ridiculous keeper, and the bane of many a United fax machine.

The 'buyout' clause is just the price the club president has agreed to sell him at.

Jolly Red

{Ed002's Note - "Buyout".}

They were willing to spend circa 100 million Euros on Veratti, pre-Neymar transfer. I think they've got enough.

Jolly Red

{Ed001's Note - only because they were looking to offload a significant number of players to fund the deal. They have money issues of their own, which the loss of Neymar has gone a long way towards fixing. His wages were a major burden on the club.}
