I appreciate this sounds like a stupid question, but please don't shoot me down.
What are the chances that Ibrahimovich would come to Liverpool?
Would he be way out of our budget? Would Rodgers want him?
Would Ibra want to come to Liverpool?
I am curious, that is all.

A guy at work is a keen Southampton fan, and he seems to think that they are interested in both Lucas and Borini. They would like to see whether they are an option that may sweeten any Lovren deal, who they really don't want to lose.

I heard today that the Bale deal is at risk as Madrid lose faith after extra hurdles being put in the way by Levi. They have been holding talks with Liverpool for the past few days to line up a backup plan for Suarez.
At the moment Suarez will be staying put, and both he and the club are expecting that. But a deal is being designed so that if the Bale deal collapses then Suarez will move for x amount, and we will get a player on loan until the Christmas transfer window, or until a replacement is bought.
Borini keeps popping up on here with people saying he's going, but that is not going to happen btw. Rodgers still sees him as a big part of Liverpool's future.

Hi all,
I had the fortune of meeting a Liverpool player last night at a wedding (albeit a reserve one!) and although it was like trying to get blood from a stone, I discovered BR is in advanced talks with a proven EPL defender and an attacking flair player currently based in Italy. Sorry I cannot be more precise. I did ask if Cavani was a possibility, and he almost choked on his bucks fizz until he realized I was joking!
I have seen the 15 players watched by LFC on the Liverpoolfc. tv site, and I would like to know your thoughts on Capel please. I have searched this site and found minimal info. He looks like he could be useful by the clip.

Spurs are going all-out for Konoplyanka now that Lennon is off to Everton. That ends speculation of him joining Liverpool then ;0)
1.) We were NEVER in for him since the first time so the speculation was just that. Speculation. N BTW, we have signed other playrs like Marko and we still have Raheem and Ibe on the books so not too bothered.
2.) Markovic > Konoplyanka, plus he's finally adapted to the league. I've been quite impressed with how good he is and salivating at the thought of how good he (and the other young attackers at our club) could become.

Evenin all,
Please can someone explain why Suso is not playing? Whenever he is on the pitch he looks a top player, so it defies logic to leave him out when the rest are playing so bad. I would have him ahead of Sterling etc any day.
He isn't out on loan is he?

Hi Eds, I just read an article in the Mirror (yes, I know. ) that states Lucas might be going to Inter Milan in the transfer window.
I cannot seriously believe that he would be allowed to go after the recent games prove that he is key to the stability of our team when we have an aging Gerrard and newcomers who need to settle!
Are you guys aware of any truth in this, and do you know why it is that Rodgers seems to dislike him?

Not Livepool related, but please can someone clarify - if Louis Van Gaal asked Robben to join him at Man U whilst on world cup duty, is that not tapping up?

Hi all,
I just wanted to know what the latest is with Shaquiri? I have tried the search but there has been nothing new for a while.
He is such an amazing player, and only him or Sanchez would have come close to filling the Suarez void. One down, one to go. Is he going to come?

I suspect it's very possible if the right player was available to replace him, but that's narrowed down pretty much to Mbappe. He will very likely go next year and he will surely want a proper goodbye and thank you for being an amazing player. Salah loves the fans more than I think some people give him respect for.

Good riddance! No loyalty, and easily the most overrated player in Europe. Runs into people, loses the ball constantly, poor passing and a poor shot. How on earth he is getting so much attention I do not know. Anyone that pays over £15m for him have been mislead. Cash in on the lad while he still wants to leave incase he changes his mind and we are stuck with an overhyped child with an attitude problem.
{Ed001's Note - you do realise he is just a kid? Glad you aren't involved in making the decisions as you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. The lad has great potential but it being chronically mismanaged by the club and manager. He gets the ball with no options and people still expect him to work wonders. If you are going to refer to missed chances, Michael Owen was one of the worst I have ever seen for needing bucketloads of chances to score, but he did ok, because the team was built around getting him those chances. Sterling doesn't have that helping hand, he has a team that is an utter shambles with no clear plan. He gets attention because despite the handicaps of the team around him he stands out as a talent.}

Ings is too risky for me. You have to remember we are talking about a guy that has shone for Burnley, with the key word being 'Burnley' - who just got relegated.
On the flip side he is only 22, and so has the chance to progress. He would also be costly because he is young and English, which makes him too high a risk.
If we could get him cheaply, as in under £10m, then he would be a great player for a backup striker - maybe to replace Lambert.
We would however still need another 2 top players like Higuain, Lacazette, etc. to replace Mario and Sturridge (whilst injured of course).
Will they join us? Not if they have other choices.
It's going to be a tough summer chaps!

Ed, I hope you are right. Konoplyanka is a far more effective player than Sterling, and we will have plenty of change left over!
