Sardar Azmoun being linked again. Don't think there's been any news since last year. Any idea if he's of interest or just more 'Iranian Messi' clickbait or an agent trying to get his name out there.

I also doubt there is anything to this rumour. Seems pretty random.

Signing a striker seems pointless at this point. Signing Origi to a extension and with the intent to give Brewster a shot, would just knock someone down the pecking order.

I know little of the lad, was just checking with the eds if there's any validity In the rumours.
Having said that, firmino, origi and a clearly talented but completely untested Brewster doesn't exactly leave us overflowing with options. Origi will be used to rotate all 3 of or front 3 and Brewster maybe likewise, who knows he's not played for the 1st team exactly.

That's a fair point regarding rotation, but your solution is. the Iranian Messi?

The Saudi money isn't going to run out any time soon, we have no need to sell Salah this year. Its not like Madrid / psg are wanting him and will move on to someone else or want to pay way less next year. The Saudi league want his name as much as maybe the player. They will throw stupid money at us again next year if we keep refusing. Would also point out we would still have plenty of options with jota, gakpo, Diaz, Nunez, and a few others. Don't want Salah to leave tho.

Liverpool have confirmed the transfer.

A club should never have to replace a single player so to speak and if you look at the change from our front 3 of mane, Bobby, Salah the club have actually done very well at bringing in Diaz, gakpo Nunez at different stages. I'm sure the club will have a long list of possible signings to play on the right. I do also have a sneaky feeling salah will be overtaken by a few as our most important player.

Gomez is definitely for the right side. Obviously he can cover the left I'm sure all of our defence could. They clearly want a left sided defender not just as cover though. Side note what has happened with gomez, he had and still has so much potential, I would really like to see him get back to his best and push to be a starter. Puzzles me a bit that Klopp doesn't use go Gomez Konate and vvd in a back 3/ 5 in certain games especially when we were lacking a midfielder against Chelsea.

I'd imagine we'd still be hoping to sign a player or 2 like those we bid for, we have to remember it wasn't just big players like hendo and fab who have left. Milners cover especially will be missed. We'll sign a "big" player if the right ones available and wants to come. Can't wait for that to happen and not sign a squad player if Klopp wants him.

Wouldn't say he unleashed him, Gini has got into the box plenty before scoring important goals. Was probably as much to do with how dominant we were. Rarely had to worry about defending. I do see that as an option though, especially if Thiago has playing alongside Fab or Hendo. We have a rediculous amount of options in the middle now though so who knows what 3 will play most.

Tyrion Lannister, in the same comment you state we are weak at the back and state we won the league because of how good our defence was.? It hasn't changed. Unless you believe Lovren was the rock holding everything together 😅.

I don't think we should worry too much about the goals just yet, there isn't a back 5 better in the league. Or even one that comes close in my opinion. 1st game of the season, and trent and Henderson only back. We've also decent cover in every position now. I'd usually be calling for another attacking option, but then was watching and waiting for Minamino, origi or someone to be put on against Leeds to inject a bit of energy and something different and it never came. Does it matter if we get someone like Sarr if what we have already don't be called upon when it looked like they were badly needed.
